Roka is always a wonderful experience. Went for the happy hour just to get out and have a light early dinner. Our server was great and the entire staff friendly. Enjoyed everything and always a fan of the lettuce wrap! But if you've never had the bread pudding it's a must! I don't even like bread pudding but I do love THIS bread pudding. We did a take-out order for our first time trying Roka and were pleasantly impressed with all the dishes ! My daughter did the kids chicken fried rice and tore it up. The yellow curry and Asian Nacho's were the best we have had in a long time. The only critique we really had was the protein was somewhat less than what we expected, other than that 10 out of 10 will eat there again and hopefully for a dine in experience next time. This was our first time at Roka. We went on a Wednesday night. Please note that it was "all-day happy hour" so it was packed. We had to park on a side street but our wait for a table was only about 20 minutes. We started with the cheese wontons and the pot stickers. Super cheap because of the happy hour. The wontons were some of the best I've ever had, great flavor and super light. The pot stickers were good, too. Around our table we tried the Roka Burger (with added kimchi fries), the salmon, the roasted Teriyaki veggies, and the Thai green curry. The salmon looked delicious (didn't get a bite), the kimchi fries were fabulous, the burger was raved about and the curry was so creamy and delicious. I personally ordered the veggies. While they were OK, I would order something different next time. There were bites of super tough asparagus but it was a large serving and I brought half of it home. On the next trip, I will get the curry and I want to try their sushi. Service was a little slow but I blame it on th happy hour. Loved the décor inside! read more

The location is in a good spot and the decor inside and out was very nice. It looked clean and parking wasn't too hard to find. I've driven by a lot and thought I'd give it a try. I love chicken katsu and even if it were $22 I ordered it. I asked for katsu sauce on the side since it was a pick up order and requested white rice in lieu of mashed potatoes. When I got home I discovered I was missing the katsu sauce, even the bbq sauce it usually comes with was missing, and was given ketchup instead. Thats not that big of a deal, mistakes happen. I was surprised by the sight of the katsu though. It was an odd color but I figured it was the 5 spices they referred to in the menu. I hate to say it but the chicken katsu wasn't great. It was hard and dry, looked like it had been frozen then reheated when ordered. I ate some but it was so dry it was like eating jerky. It didn't have any specific flavor from the spices and was extremely dry. I didn't finish the meal. I did eat the white rice. Not worth the $22. I'd recommend Sura if you are looking for good chicken katsu. read more

Roca is a cool place with intentional , solid service, and ok-ish food. I had something with that was very basic B, (I think it was pad Thai), and it was some of the worst pad Thai I have ever had. I was beyond disappointed. Everyone in my dining party liked what they had, and I think they would all give it a four. They have their own accounts, and they are welcome to say that. My net experience was terrible, and though this is a spot that people like locally, I would give it to two-three at best. I'm not just being a jerk because I didn't like my pad Thai; I tried a couple other people's dishes and just thought they were three star, OK. Egg rolls under size and over deep fryed Cheese frys not bad for happy hour price Broccoli and chicken almonds tasted like fish tender, had to be for how thin it was. And size of the dish for a small at 16.00 was a child plate. Flavor was good. Broccoli was soggy and aawefull fish after taste. Fried rice my favorite, well 2.00 more came with stuff in it. But no Flavor at all. Water was good a glass of wine was good. Specialty drink was good for 8. We settled on a score of 2. Service was great. Had to ask for sauce for the rice. And napkins. A perfect Asian restaurant is tough to find. Time to sort them out. I have started doubling back on Tulsa restaurants that I have tried over the last 10 years. Today I was hungry for a salad. Roka nailed it!! The Roka Stetson Salad, is recommended. Wonderful flavors. My wife had the Bulgogi Beef Noodle Bowl. Another great choice. Roka, a restaurant with attractive décor and relaxing ambiance that enhances the dining experience. Good food delivered to your table by excellent servers combine for a trifecta of fundamentals that make for a great dining experience. Firstly, our waitress was DELIGHTFUL. She literally brought joy, but was also attentive and knowledgeable about vegan options. She gave some great recommendations, and ultimately my sister and I ordered the tofu lettuce wraps, tempura veggie roll, and vegetable lo mein. This spot isn't fully authentic, but the atmosphere has a great vibe and the food is tasty! I enjoyed everything we ordered. The lettuce wraps were fresh with an awesome peanut sauce and tons of mushrooms. Tempura roll was a great mix of flavors. There is a decent sized parking lot around the restaurant. We arrived with no reservations and so decided to eat in the bar rather than wait. The service was good, the bartender was definitely busy mixing up drinks. We tried the potstickers, they had a good crunch to them and the miso cream sauce was different and interesting. I got the shaking beef with fried rice. It wasn't overly spicy and had good flavor, I mixed the rice into my dish. First off - Do not go here if you are on any time restriction!! We were visiting in town for a short vaca and came here to celebrate our son's birthday. He picked the place and was so excited to visit. We had reservations and were promptly seated at a table in the middle of the dining room. After ordering and receiving our drinks the server took our order for appetizers. 25 minutes we sat there before she even came back to ask what we would like to order for dinner. After 30 mins our wontons came out and in 40 minutes our nachos were finally delivered to the table. At 45 minutes, our server tells us they have no duck (what my husband ordered.) We had to ask for napkins and silverware for 2 of us and sat with empty drinks that we finally had refilled after asking after an hour there. Shortly after the hour of sitting and waiting we finally received our entrees...and of course mine was cold (I ordered the beef & broccoli.) We used to love this place when it was Tei Keis. They continue to go downhill. The service is horrible. Food used to be so good. I think so so on some days but mediocre on others. Our most recent time we went for a girls date and they gave us cocktail napkins as our lap napkins, ie to wipe our faces. I know they have cloth napkins because I saw other tables had them but I guess they either didn't do their laundry or didn't think we were deserving of actual napkins. We also therefore had no silverware to eat with because they refused to give us anything but cocktail napkins. Ambience was okay. Same as tei keis. Dim lighting but also loud. There are Happy Hours and special pricing nights during each week. For instance Funday Sunday features 1/2 price bottles of wine. Happy Hour is every weekday from 3-6pm and Wednesday is Happy Hour all day long.. Tuesdays feature a hamburger special-pricing. On our visit we had Pad Tai which was a little different that what I'm accustomed to. It had a very thin sauce and no peanut butter that I could discern, just a few peanuts in the thin sauce.
