I LOVED the Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon Chriashi! Basically the best sashimi on top of seasoned sushi rice with mango and spicy cucumbers

We have been here several times now and there is a reason why this place is so popular. The wait staff are great and very attentive to your needs. They have a dining room big enough for individuals or large groups, as well as a private dining area for parties as well. This time we tried the miso soup and it is absolutely amazing with fresh sliced shiitake mushrooms and green onions on top. The star of the show is the sushi, with so many options and variations to choose from. They have traditional, Oklahoma style, Sashimi and Nigiri. They are rolled right there at the station in the dining area. They're quick, accurate and very fresh with so much to love. They also have a full selection of drinks, both Asian and traditional at the full service bar. This place has stood the test of time and it'll be here for many more. Give it a try.

Yokozuna has great service and great quality sushi. The sashimi plate is wonderfully done and has great cuts of fish. I personally think this is the best sushi in town.

Great food. We orders drinks at the bar miso soup, flaming volcano, sumo fried rice, roll and gift, Tiga roll, Philadelphia roll, flaming lips, golden driller, yellowtail tuna over sushi rice. Our waitresses Rachel was amazing!

The Chef made me this work of art and I loved it. There's tuna and sea bass. Caviar, jalapeño, top it off. I really liked it there.

Well I asked for the Chef's Choice Sushi Roll. What I got was a true piece of art. Not only was it the best I have had in the states. Service was excellent friendly professional. Very good Chef and Waitstaff. It is a very open and welcoming inside with lots of natural light. Really put together well. Again it tastes better than it looks and it looks fantastic. Five stars.

We went during their Happy Hour and it was a great deal! We got 4 sushi rolls for about $22! I also got the coolest fortune. I liked how they worked with another local restaurant. My only complaint is that it's always very cold in there

Sweet potato fries and a glass of rose...life's good

Second time here this week. I enjoy the swift service and the delicious food. The Pad Thai with the tofu (squeezed in lime) was phenomenal! The sweet potato fries with the wasabi mayo and chili soy, and a nice glass of rose - was a perfect starter to wind down from life! We came back and had the Thai Green Curry, and that was oh-Kay. I wanted more or the comfort curry soup to pour over my rice, and I felt the dish wasn't fresh. They were out of the ahi, So we had the yellowtail and the chefs special roll. This place is clean, with great service and a nice hip vibe. This will be one of my go-to's;)

Pino Noir from Willamette Valley (my personal favorite) and gin & tonic (well, he's no gin snob)

We were attended to by several people, it was very nice to experience a team effort! Great job wait staff!. The food experience was terrific. We ordered the Bye-Bye Summer Sushi Special. It was an incredible explosion of delicious flavors. Next up, we found ourselves elbows deep in a "chef's special" sashimi platter that exceeded our wildest expectations. Seared tuna, salmon, octopus, albacore with a centerpiece of needle-diameter shredded carrots. All were champions in their field, although the octopus turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. By now my husband had developed a bit of a "racehorse" approach to dinner and decided to murder another round of hamachi (yellowtail) sashimi. He appeared dizzy but blissful. My compliments for a meal that will stand the test of time. You are the artists.

Speaking of flavor, I'm sure the special blended soy sauce played a major part. On top of that, there's chili sauce at the table & that right there has a Shawn Michaels super kick to it. With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for ramen, sushi, bowls, etc... this is your spot. I was having a headache & really needed some food to help get rid of it (I was also in the area). Ramen usually does the trick & it prevailed as I started feeling better. Oishi came in the clutch.

From the corporate operations director to the manager on duty last night, I will NEVER be doing business or dining with them ever again. The manager last night flat out called us out of our names using language I cannot even bring myself to type. In short, all because we asked for our proper change and for our tickets to be reworked. Every restaurant and place of business can do that with ease. That shouldn't call for us to be disrespected. It makes zero sense. Zero. We were respectful, pretty, and paid! We weren't "loud, ghetto, or any (special choice of words)". So with that being said, if you're brown, we're not welcomed there!!! This holds serious weight. This did happen. This will be dealt with in the proper way and through the proper channels. I do not tolerate disrespect of any form.

Aside from that, they ordered things off the Happy Hour menu and were pleased. Dan and I got the 2 Happy Hour rolls. We would have loved "Some Like it Hot" without the hot sauce. The Dunwell roll is good if you like cream cheese in sushi rolls and many people do. There was a time when Dan and I loved that but now our sushi preference is nigiri and our roll preference is whatever is the closest thing you can get to nigiri. We also don't like signature cocktails. We prefer both our drinks and our sushi to be as close to pure as we can get: martinis and nigiri . We frequently attend Happy Hour at a different In the Raw. We find the service and ambiance better where we usually go. The sake at Brookside was not good. It had kind of a soapy taste. We got domestic beers for our second drinks. We forgot to ask for glasses. Service was slow so we just drank them from the bottle, which we hate to do. The main plus for the Brookside restaurant is the location. During warm weather, the outdoor seating is fun. We had a fun evening with our granddaughter and her wonderful boyfriend. My advice to diners is to ask for the Happy Hour menu anytime you go to any restaurant between 2 PM and 7 PM. This isn't the only restaurant that has a Happy Hour but doesn't promote it. Happy Hour here is from 3 and 5. They don't give you a Happy Hour menu unless you ask for it. Check out my Happy Hour list. There are claw machines at the front and back and sketchbooks with colored pencils on every table so you can draw while waiting for your food. The service is friendly - you order at the front counter and get a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready at the pickup counter. The boba drinks are good. They have a decent selection of milk teas and fruit drinks as well as toppings. The boba pearls are done right, freshly made so they are soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. Once I ordered popping boba on accident (honey boba on the menu) thinking it was regular boba sweetened with honey and did not like it. They graciously switched it out with regular boba for me which I truly appreciated. My one recommendation would be to adjust the sweetness level if you prefer lighter drinks. The last time I visited I forgot to ask and it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've also ordered poke and teriyaki bowls from them before and it was ok. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me. I usually come here for the drinks but would give the food another try given the good service and atmosphere. They have ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers like chicken karaage and kimchi fries. Overall I'd recommend Gung Ho as a solid hangout spot that's centrally located with good drinks and plenty of food options.
