I decided to try this new place. It looks so much better than it did before when it was a different restaurant. The staff was friendly and pretty quick. The food was hot and a large portion. I really enjoyed the flavor. All the meats were good but the shrimp was my favorite. I see they have lots of sushi on the menu and I can't wait to try it. The prices are about the same as other places.

Remarkable service and food. I've been looking for a good sushi place in Tulsa since Fuji shut down. Sakura definitely gives it a run for its money.

We went there to eat tonight but unfortunately, my fiance didn't see anything on the menu so I ordered 2 rolls to go. The SSR3 was PHENOMENAL. I would absolutely go back for this roll. I was worried about the onion on top but it gave an excellent crunch and amazing flavor without being over bearing. The SSR4 was absolutely inedible. The tempura shrimp was ice cold and not even warmed up. The uncooked breading around the shrimp made for a terrible texture and after taste. I ended up throwing the whole roll away and gave the shrimp ends to the dogs. The staff were super friendly and great. There wasn't anyone else there so it was a little awkward but, they did an amazing job renovating the place. It seemed very open and welcoming given the space.

My husband and I ended up here the other night after showing up to Mr. Nobu's and being told there…read morewas an hour wait. We are so glad dinner plans changed because we LOVED this place!! The server/host did a great job of being super friendly and talkative along with making sure we were well informed on the menu and hearing we made good choices on our food selections. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños - which if you go, You must get!! For rolls we got 1. Tulsa Roll 2. Fire Dragon Roll 3. Tornado Roll (fried) All were so tasty, each in their own way. We were super impressed all around and will be back. I can't stop thinking about the stuffed jalapeños

When a…read morewaiter/waitress takes my order & asks about spice level, I usually "play it safe" & go to a 3 (their scale was 1-5... spice level 3 was subtle). Speaking of flavor, I'm sure the special blended soy sauce played a major part. On top of that, there's chili sauce at the table & that right there has a Shawn Michaels super kick to it. With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for ramen, sushi, bowls, etc... this is your spot. I was having a headache & really needed some food to help get rid of it (I was also in the area). Ramen usually does the trick & it prevailed as I started feeling better. Oishi came in the clutch.

Great spot conveniently located in Tulsa Hills. The space is open and casual with a kpop/anime vibe…read morewhich makes it a fun place to hang out. There are claw machines at the front and back and sketchbooks with colored pencils on every table so you can draw while waiting for your food. The service is friendly - you order at the front counter and get a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready at the pickup counter. The boba drinks are good. They have a decent selection of milk teas and fruit drinks as well as toppings. The boba pearls are done right, freshly made so they are soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. Once I ordered popping boba on accident (honey boba on the menu) thinking it was regular boba sweetened with honey and did not like it. They graciously switched it out with regular boba for me which I truly appreciated. My one recommendation would be to adjust the sweetness level if you prefer lighter drinks. The last time I visited I forgot to ask and it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've also ordered poke and teriyaki bowls from them before and it was ok. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me. I usually come here for the drinks but would give the food another try given the good service and atmosphere. They have ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers like chicken karaage and kimchi fries. Overall I'd recommend Gung Ho as a solid hangout spot that's centrally located with good drinks and plenty of food options.

It's also a great spot for date night, friends meet up, etc. prime location for a before a show at the TPAC meal, and not far from the ONEOK field either. Service tends to be a little slow. Food is great, so if you have time to spare a bit, it's worth it, especially when ordering happy hour. The servers tend to be less chatty and friendly, but still professional. The environment is fun. My prefect happy hour here looks like the tempura fries with a golden driller roll. Throw a drink on if you want. When I was drinking, the lotus was a fun drink.

We also ordered the tempura sweet potato fries, which had way too much breading and really didn't taste like tempura. One person in our group ordered a gin and tonic and could barely taste any gin in the drink. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately didn't seem very knowledgeable about the happy hour menu or the drink selections, which made ordering a little frustrating. Overall, the food, drinks and experience just didn't meet our expectations. There are too many other good options in Tulsa, so unfortunately we won't be back.
