Spicy seafood curry soup, $16 for this tiny bowl of terrible

Sadly, this place used to be great, food-wise. I came in for lunch today and was underwhelmed and nearly disgusted by the quality of the meal. Ordered edamame as appetizer - some pieces were dry and old and broken, some were missing the beans inside - they charge $7 for this. Then I ordered their "spicy curry seafood soup" - see pic, $16. This is not a soup but an awful, watered down liquid with a hint of curry taste. Besides the liquid that came in a small bowl, this dish came with a crab stick, a chunk of overcooked salmon, two small boiled and tasteless shrimp and two lonely slices of cucumber that started to rot at the skin- there were two soft brown pots in two places. I rarely send food back but I did send the "soup" back with some feedback to the owner and the cooks, which our server politely and patiently received. Service was great though, hence the star

Heard great things about this sushi restaurant but I left not understanding why. I got the spicy tuna roll and the lobster mango roll. Both rolls looked like they would be filled with flavor but they just weren't hitting. For appetizer I got the crispy basil chicken and this was pretty good. I loved the crispy basil leaves with the crispy chicken. I did like the ambiance of the restaurant. I liked how dark it was inside. The chairs were very comfortable and cozy.

I tried a few of their rolls and they were all super fresh. The fish tasted clean and buttery, especially the salmon. I loved how the rice was slightly warm and well seasoned. The spicy tuna roll had just the right amount of kick without overpowering the fish. Presentation was really nice too, made it feel a little more special. The staff was friendly and made great suggestions. Chill atmosphere, perfect for a sushi night out.

I'll admit it, there's not a lot of Asian food options in Tulsa, but one gem I found was Sushi Hana!!! Craving sushi? Sushi Hana is one of the most original, innovative, and yummy sushi spots I've been to in general! Perfect for any special occasion including birthdays, date nights , and more! Their menu is small, but the dishes they create and flavors are upscale, beautiful, and authentic! One my of favorite dishes was the apple tuna appetizer! I did not know apple and tuna work so well together! It had that combo of luscious, sweet combo with a bit of wasabi to top it off! That was super cleaver! I also love the Killer J roll with Spicy crab, black pepper tuna, and tempura crunch inside. One of my favorite sushi rolls of all time!!! I also loved the staff working there and met the owners Kenny and Shirley! They are very kind people and makes sure the execution is right there! Definitely, sushi Hana is a gem in Tulsa and one of the only good Asian food places in Tulsa!

We were celebrating a friend's 25th birthday & there was 6 of us. This restaurant is a little different with the host stand in the back. But other than that the restaurant has a good vibe with nice lighting. Dim lighting with nice blue nights This is a good traditional sushi restaurant, all of our sushi was made perfectly. Only thing is 3/6 chairs at our table were rocking which was annoying.

Great vibe in this Brookside sushi spot. Lots of choices on the menu and always mouthwatering specials. The service is great and they don't make you feel rushed. There is street parking and also a lot behind. Have a date night, friend night, or any night out with delicious sushi at Sushi Hana.

The food was delicious. Some friends and I came here for dinner. Our waitress was so sweet and checked on us even when we didn't have food. Also ordered a blackberry mojito and it wasnt too bad. Probably wouldn't order that drink again but the food was so great! Definitely will be coming back to try more of the food.

This is the only sushi place in Tulsa I would take my friends from Oklahoma City to because Sushi Hana is the best sushi restaurant in Tulsa. I came with 2 friends after work around 5:30 PM as I wanted to introduce them to my new favorite sushi place. We ordered the black pepper tuna which was equally divided among three guests. The tuna slices were thin but tasted great. I am a big fan of the sumo salad after my first dining here so naturally ordered it right away. To me this is the best salad of any sushi places in Tulsa. It was again great and big enough to share. For the special rolls, we tried the volcano, tsunami, black samurai, and crazy Suzanne roll. Previously I have tried the tuna Hana roll. They all were great but if I have to rank from best to worst, it would be in the following order: 1. Crazy Suzanne 2. Black samurai 3. Tuna Hana 4. Tsunami 5. Volcano We had some questions regarding the big fish in the fish tank and asked the waitress who then mentioned to the owner. He came by, introduced himself, and talked about the fish. My friends had a good time and seemed to like the place. The place is dim lit and got busy and noisy by the time we finished which was around 7PM. If you want to take your friends out for sushi, Sushi Hana is the top place I would recommend.

There is street parking on Peoria or more parking and another entrance in a parking lot behind the restaurant. There are happy hour specials. From the minute you walk it, it is a relaxing yet elegant environment. Definitely check out the fish tank. Our waitress was lovely and really quick to address our allergy (sesame and mushroom) needs to ensure our food met our needs. This is a place where you shouldn't be in a rush as your meal will be a leisurely experience. If you are in a rush order online for pickup. The miso soup was yummy. I really enjoyed the gyoza with just the right amount of crunch. The house rice with chicken and shrimp was a dish I really enjoyed. My friend enjoyed her monster roll. My husband enjoyed his eel and fatty tuna but didn't like the California roll. Beware there is an up charge if you want to pick your own options for sushi combo a, we were a bit shocked when we it was double the listed price which is what caused a decrease in a star. I think we will come back and try happy hour next time.

An absolutely wonderful experience all around! Right after we were seated, our server, Virginia, was immediately there to take our drink orders. As she was placing our drinks before us, she asked if we would like anything from the menu along with our sushi bar items. She provided professional and welcoming service the entire evening. Since this was our first visit to Sushi Hana, we did order a bit more than we should have and each piece was even more delicious than the last (try the monster roll, and definitely the creation roll)! This was surprising since it was a Friday evening and all five or so of the sushi chefs were working very quickly to get everything out to all of the customers. The owner, Kenny, even came over to introduce himself and welcome us to his restaurant, then spoke with us for a few moments ; he is a very enjoyable, interesting and intelligent person who made us feel welcome and like we definitely want to return. I highly recommend Sushi Hanna for a nice date night, family night, or someplace to come enjoy with a group friends!

They seem to have seasonal menus, as the menus were different in person than I had found online. Still very good. Food is served family style, although still small portions IMO. The grill options don't come with a side of rice, which we didn't realize prior to the food arriving. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. I studied the online menu and found three items that were new to me: Kam Heong Chicken, Samei Chicken and Asam Chicken. Do you know what they are? The restaurant does not provide any description. Thanks to Wikipedia and Google I was able to decode two of the three dishes. The restaurant needs to put descriptions on their menu. I chose the Asam Chicken, because Google described it as tart and spicy, made with tamarind and chilis. My kind of dish. It was excellent. Fresh tomatoes, okra (surprise), green beans and onion in a tangy spicy broth. Similar in taste to Siracha Chicken. I like this! Minimal service and matching decor. The restaurant is primarily set up for takeout. Order at the counter, the food is delivered to your table. The interior of the restaurant is functional, adequate, with booths, tables. Very limited drinks (bottled sodas). Try it and compare it to your preferred Asian restaurant.
