First of all, Trevor was a great server and was super friendly and attentive to our needs. A+ Second, Jinya probably has one of the best Takoyakis I've had in the states. It is almost as good as Japan's so I was fairly impressed. The tonkotsu ramen was good although I didn't think the bowl had enough broth. No random American fillers so love that. The chicken karaage was fine. I don't think I would get that again. The matcha tiramisu was divineeee though. Highly recommend getting that. I do wish it was slightly cheaper and closer to south tulsa. The tables could be cleaner too. Anyway, Jinya is a good spot and the vibe was on point. read more

I've eaten at a lot of places in America claiming to serve "authentic Japanese ramen," and let's just say some of them should be investigated by international authorities. Then I found Jinya Ramen. The Tonkotsu Black came out looking like a supermodel. The pork chashu was cooked so perfectly it practically melted in my mouth. The noodles had me one bite away from checking flights to Tokyo. If nostalgia had a texture, it would be those noodles. The egg? Soft boiled perfection. That beautiful jammy center deserved its own spotlight and possibly a small round of applause. I also ordered the pork gyoza, and whoever pan-fried those deserves a raise immediately. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--basically what every dumpling dreams of becoming. My only tiny complaint: you've got to season your own broth a little. But honestly, compared to some of the so-called "Japanese ramen" spots I've tried in the U.S., this place is five stars and then some. The service was fast, attentive, and genuinely caring--it felt authentic, not forced. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, spotless, and had the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a while. read more

We often get into a rut, especially on Sunday nights. Honestly, we default to pizza. Not anymore. We had tried Jinya first at a Yelp event a couple of years ago and we were impressed but kind of forgot about them. Not anymore! What a great evening. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. I loved the decor. We had the gyoza to start and I tried the Geisha Saki Flight. So good. The pairings were done by sweet-dry-sweet-dry. I ordered one more of the yuzu variety. So good. We tried the wonton ramen and the spicy chicken ramen. Seriously good stuff. The Hubs is a ramen fan and he said he would probably not go anywhere else for ramen from now on. Large portions and you can choose from an almost unlimited list of toppings. Pizza, you're on the way out! Ramen from now on! read more

This place has THE best ramen! I'm a ramen freak! Everywhere I go, London, Scotland...EVERYWHERE...I will seek out their ramen! And let me tell ya...this place needs to be on your list. The employees are all sweet and very attentive. Thank goodness I was informed about their spice levels because I usually order a spice level of 4-5 but I was informed that their 2 is more like a 4 and their 4 more like a 6 and so on and she want kidding! I ordered a 2 and was SWEATING! So definitely try their ramen. We also loved their gyoza. Great ambiance too! ARIGATO! read more

The standout was Trevor, who was the first person I'd talked to during a long day of business travel that started at 3:45 am in California. Slowing things down & introducing himself set the pace for a very relaxed dinner that I needed. It was great seeing parties of all kinds here - dates, friends, college groups. I saw two friends trying ramen for the first time, twirling their noodles with forks like spaghetti, and it was great. There are no pretenses here, just folks enjoying good food. I was expecting that I may have ordered a little light, but the salmon poke was actually a very reasonable portion with a couple of small sides. I look forward to coming back for the ramen & their specialty cocktails. Until next time, cheers! read more

One of my favorite ramen places to go to in Tulsa! When I'm looking for a ramen/noodle fix, you cannot go wrong with Jinya Ramen Bar. Whether you're dining in or taking it to go, you will be satisfied with whatever you get from this restaurant. I took a nice walk from my hotel to Jinya and was able to order some delicious food and enjoy it, to-go! They package everything so well, nice and neat, that it tastes just like if I were dining in at the restaurant. Let's get straight to the food, shall we? I ordered the Sauteed Broccolini, along with the Jinya Tonkotsu Black Ramen. Now, let's break it down! Sauteed Broccolini had a nice taste, was still crisp and wasn't overcooked. The bits of quinoa added a nice texture and taste to the overall appetizer as well. The Jinya Tonkotsu Black Ramen is the MVP! They package the liquid and the solids separately, and I did my best to bowl it like if I were dining at the restaurant. The egg was nice and had a creamy yolk. The noodles had a nice bite and chew to it. The various toppings complimented the ramen very well. The broth was clean and had a good pork taste to it. Overall, can't go wrong with this dish! read more

We had a taste for noodles for dinner and chose Jinya. We did not realize that it's a chain around the country. I hope the rest are as good as this. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. And the ramen delicious, done just right, and huge portions. All freshly made. I had the Chicken Yuzu Shio Delight. The egg was done just right. All good. We came here for lunch. We started with the Pork gyoza & Brussel sprout tempera. Then, we also tried the crispy chicken small plate, and the shrimp sushi. My husband ordered the spicy chicken Ramen and I had the chicken Chashu bowl. Both were amazing! I love the atmosphere at lunch. I would definitely be back for a date night. Our service was what made them lose a star. Our waitress was very nice but they were fully staffed (multiple waitstaff & people in the kitchen, a bartender, and a hostess) and only 3 tables had people seated. There was no reason for our waitress to be so inattentive. read more

Saturday evening snack of Birria Ramen was absolutely delicious and fantastic, added mushrooms to enhance the flavor. I loved getting the additional noodles to finish the meal, drank the broth. Very satisfying! The family shared an order of Buffalo Cauliflower, which I thought was surprisingly juicy, tangy and didn't even have a cauliflower taste. The service was excellent and the waitress stayed on top of everything. We will definitely return to stuff ourselves again. A two twirling fork review. read more

Jinya is my go-to place for ramen, especially when I'm in the mood for something comforting and hearty. Conveniently located downtown, it's a great option for groups and a solid choice when guests are in town. There are a few street parking spots right outside and a row of spots across the street. On busy days, you may have to find a spot around the corner, but I haven't had any issues with parking so far. While I generally prefer local spots over chains, I appreciate the consistent quality and reliably good food. The service is usually decent as well. My favorite dish is the Tonkotsu black ramen. The original version is also delicious, as are the fried chicken pieces. Although it's just a touch on the salty side, the flavors are always rich and satisfying. Given how hearty the meals can be, I tend to eat here sparingly, though it's perfect on cold or rainy days when the craving for a hot bowl of ramen hits. Overall, Jinya delivers a dependable dining experience that keeps me coming back. read more

TLDR; Solid vibes, mixed results. Food Tonkotsu Black Ramen - 2.5/5 Edamame - 3.5/5 Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice - 4/5 Gyoza - 3.5/5 Pork Chashu on Sticky Bun - 2.5/5 Service (sit-down) Spot on Ambiance The decor and menu totally nailed the Bay Area urban ramen bar vibe--felt right at home for anyone used to SF or Oakland spots. The Tonkotsu broth, though? More like a basic pork soup with a thickener than a rich, long-simmered 12+ hour bone broth. I had to doctor it up with the "seasoning sauce" and "hot sauce" at the table. Chashu was fine, pork bun had potential but got buried in mayo, and the gyoza was your standard good-but-not-memorable variety. Surprise win of the night: Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. Not quite LA Katsuya-level, but definitely the standout dish. read more

This trip to Jinya Ramen came after picking up some more goodies for my birthday in Tulsa, that i missed during the week. Before heading home to Muskogee, after a full day, we decided to stop into Jinya for lupper. My husband chose chicken ramen with ground chicken and sweet tea, and I chose a chicken chashu without mushrooms or onions(I have to remember to get it without egg next time, I don't like liquid chicken inside). It was perfectly sweet, I didn't have to add any sauce. Then I redeemed my free birthday dessert plate( I got the last chocolate mochi and a matching green tea tiramisu, I shared it with the hubby). My drinks of choice were water, Dragon fruit fizz, and J Girl.I can safely recommend with drinks. The dragonfruit for a night out filled with fun, and to go with the dish I had for my lupper. We actually went at the perfect time, it was not too crowded and peaceful. By the time we left, it looked like something was rolling in weather wise, so we headed hone to crash for the rest of the evening. This made a great end to my 49th birthday week. We look forward to coming back in the future. read more

My partner and I were craving for some ramen after a tough weekend. We were so excited because the reviews made this ramen place sound phenomenal. Little did we know, we were going to be disappointed. I got the spicy creamy vegan ramen and stirred fried broccoli while my partner got the black tonkotsu. The vegan ramen was very lackluster in flavor -- it was just salty. I asked for extra chili paste and it made it slightly better. The black tonkotsu was also very very mediocre. My partner finished his bowl but he wasn't the happiest, especially for a comfort meal. And the most disappointing of all was the stirred fried broccoli which was boiled broccoli and I guess flash fried in oil for 2 seconds. It was nasty - not the typically ramen stirred fried broccoli you expect. As for the service, the waiter we had was amazing! He removed the broccoli off our bill because we literally didn't eat it and that was very nice of him. The ambiance is also very nice; good place for a date if only the food was better! read more

I LOVE SOUP NOODLES Favorite ramen in Tulsa :) Come here at least once a month to get my ramen fix. First time trying the JINYA Tonkatsu original and it was delicious. This comes with a pork broth, pork chashu, green onions, spinach, seasoned egg, nori and THICK noodles. Broth is perfect - not too salty and well flavored. Chashu is very tender. Egg is cooked to perfection - not runny and not overcooked, the perfect yellow-orange color. The noodles are my favorite part because it's almost double the thickness of a normal ramen noodle :) Other favorites from past visits: JINYA chicken ramen JINYA wonton chicken ramen - this is my regular with KALE noodle sub Pork gyoza JINYA bun I love that they have different noodle options - thin noodles, kale noodles and thick noodles :) Shoutout to Nancy our server - friendly, energetic and quick service :) Outdoor seating is available which is great for spring/summer nights! Sadly, I had a very poor experience here the other day. I had the worst bowl of ramen I've ever had. I love ramen, and I've had it here a number of times before, and it's been good. This time, though, the broth was extremely thin. By thin, I mean the flavor. Like, it tasted like water with a hint of broth. I hate complaining in a place like this but there was no point in eating it. They brought out a replacement bowl. The flavor was better than the first but still not normal. The second bowl was also oddly very salty. I don't know what's going on here. This place's ramen has always tasted pretty authentic to me. (Admittedly, it's been a long time since I've been there; I was in town for an appt so stopped by.) Anyhow, something is not right. Or at least it wasn't right on that day. I thought this was actually a Japanese company based on past authenticity/quality of the ramen. I do think it might be a chain. I think the company might need to get some quality assurance going, do some surprise visits. The silver lining? The waitstaff person was really nice. No complaints at all there. And the seasoned egg and pork and other ingredients in the ramen were fine. But if you know anything about ramen, you know that a shop's reputation lies in the quality of its broth. read more

Normally , I really love this restaurant and have always really enjoyed the food and the service. This last visit though it was pretty bad from a service perspective. We got sat quickly but nobody came to talk to us. The service staff would walk by but not make eye contact. I finally had to ask one of the bussers if they could figure out who's section we were in, after sitting there for twenty to thirty minutes. Order was goofed up. I will be back because I enjoy their food, but if I find the same thing again I will probably not return to eat at the restaurant. read more

This spot continues to be excellent. There are many vegan options and they are all clearly identifiable on the menu. At this point I've had all the vegan options and they are all excellent. The service is usually very good as well. The complaint is still the incessant yelling at people when they come in or leave the restaurant, though the number of times the employees do this has been reduced a considerable amount. Thank the corporate overlords for allowing the workers to do their jobs without having to yell salutations at people upon entering or exiting the restaurant. read more

I tried the Jinya buns and the pork gyoza. I didn't really care for the buns but it was my first time having them so the consistency was unexpected. I liked the gyoza even more when I added the little chili sauce / paste on top. I got the chicken ramen and honestly it was delicious. It was simple but very flavorful. Only thing I would say is I wis I had a little more broth bc it came out uneven near the end of the bowl with not enough broth and too many noodles. I also got this delicious salt cream matcha that I wish I could have every day of the week. The cream they put on the top tasted like ice cream. read more

Jinya Ramen Bar was established by Tomo Takahasi who wanted to bring authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine to America. The first restaurant opened in LA in 2010 and has since expanded across the US and Canada. Jinya signature bowl is the Tonkotsu Black. The broth of Jinya Tonkotsu Black is very umamic, made with the highest grade bones. The broth has been simmered for more than 20 hours, creating a very rich and full flavored broth. The pork belly is good at Jinya, 2nd best pork belly I've had. The egg is mostly cooked, slightly runny on the inside, which is good. The spicy chicken ramen is also quite good, although not as good as the tonkotsu black. JINYA always has good service and this location is no exception but I need that "arigatou" to match with the OKC location. JINYA has the best ramen in Tulsa currently for me. For ramen, it's a little pricey. Two bowls and a beer costs more than $33. But the quality matches the price. read more

Not a good start....I have food allergies to chicken/all foul and I asked about their broth, and they would not assure me there would not be cross contamination between their chicken based and pork based broth...which was a bit of a surprise because it was not an issue at Roppongi...this meant all ramen was off the table, which left a pork rice bowl and a Poke bowl...and they ran out of rice so the bowl was going to take an extra 20 minutes.. Neat concept, execution issues IMHO if you can't handle allergies or cross contamination. Haven't been back because of this, nor will I because my health and safety is most important. Rest of my party enjoyed the food. Sorry, not for me. read more

I've been here a few times already and things to do: 1) Ramen, bc it's a franchise - the flavour profiles are more on point regardless who is making it. It's not your mom and pop ramen if that is what you do. 2) solid seaweed salads options 3) HUGE PASS on the poke bowls. I should of know better when it comes to raw fish in Okie, but it was not fresh. 4) too juicy mayo even on the tuna poke tacos 5) the buns were ok but nothing to rave about And when they do spicy - it's actually not too spicy so you can add more on the side. read more

In all of Tulsa, I went to only one spot to eat - Jinya - and I'm very happy I did. What highlighted this particular Ramen bar wasn't the grilled chicken or spinach or fried brussels sprouts, but it was the quality of the broth itself. It stood out to be exactly what I was looking for. The spice level was perfectly on point and I throughly enjoyed the flavor. The gentlemen behind the bar, who I learned had a son with a cool name (starts with W), was quick on his feet, ensuring good quality customer experience, and was enjoyable to listen to. i've been here time and time again since they've first been here. hanging out with friends, business meetings, dates... jinya is good for all of those occasions. for the recent times i've been, sports was on display while it wasn't as busy, which is something that works in my favor (i like having places to myself when i'm solo... especially with sports is involved). the servers are always nice & attentive. food was never a long wait. never had any complaints on my orders or never had a dish that let me down. i like the location it's at downtown along with the interior being very minimal & in low light (again, suitable for dates). it's usually quiet outside of the hosts + servers having a greeting for welcoming guests (it can get entertaining when other visitors join along). i've tried a majority of the ramen, i don't have a favorite as i try to switch it up each visit (i had the spicy chicken recently). one thing that really caught me off-guard & that i enjoyed was the takoyaki (octopus balls), that's something that helps switching it up + going out of my norm. the brussel sprouts tempura are pretty good & it's something i'd get over & over again. a lot of options to choose from no matter what kind of appetite you have. read more
