First of all, Trevor was a great server and was super friendly and attentive to our needs. A+ Second, Jinya probably has one of the best Takoyakis I've had in the states. It is almost as good as Japan's so I was fairly impressed. The tonkotsu ramen was good although I didn't think the bowl had enough broth. No random American fillers so love that. The chicken karaage was fine. I don't think I would get that again. The matcha tiramisu was divineeee though. Highly recommend getting that. The Tonkotsu Black came out looking like a supermodel. The pork chashu was cooked so perfectly it practically melted in my mouth. The noodles had me one bite away from checking flights to Tokyo. If nostalgia had a texture, it would be those noodles. The egg? Soft boiled perfection. That beautiful jammy center deserved its own spotlight and possibly a small round of applause. I also ordered the pork gyoza, and whoever pan-fried those deserves a raise immediately. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--basically what every dumpling dreams of becoming. My only tiny complaint: you've got to season your own broth a little. But honestly, compared to some of the so-called "Japanese ramen" spots I've tried in the U.S., this place is five stars and then some. The standout was Trevor, who was the first person I'd talked to during a long day of business travel that started at 3:45 am in California. Slowing things down & introducing himself set the pace for a very relaxed dinner that I needed. It was great seeing parties of all kinds here - dates, friends, college groups. I saw two friends trying ramen for the first time, twirling their noodles with forks like spaghetti, and it was great. There are no pretenses here, just folks enjoying good food. I was expecting that I may have ordered a little light, but the salmon poke was actually a very reasonable portion with a couple of small sides. My husband ordered the spicy chicken Ramen and I had the chicken Chashu bowl. Both were amazing! I love the atmosphere at lunch. I would definitely be back for a date night. Before heading home to Muskogee, after a full day, we decided to stop into Jinya for lupper. My husband chose chicken ramen with ground chicken and sweet tea, and I chose a chicken chashu without mushrooms or onions(I have to remember to get it without egg next time, I don't like liquid chicken inside). It was perfectly sweet, I didn't have to add any sauce. Then I redeemed my free birthday dessert plate( I got the last chocolate mochi and a matching green tea tiramisu, I shared it with the hubby). My drinks of choice were water, Dragon fruit fizz, and J Girl.I can safely recommend with drinks.The dragonfruit for a night out filled with fun, and to go with the dish I had for my lupper. We actually went at the perfect time, it was not too crowded and peaceful. By the time we left, it looked like something was rolling in weather wise, so we headed hone to crash for the rest of the evening. This made a great end to my 49th birthday week. My partner and I were craving for some ramen after a tough weekend. We were so excited because the reviews made this ramen place sound phenomenal. Little did we know, we were going to be disappointed. I got the spicy creamy vegan ramen and stirred fried broccoli while my partner got the black tonkotsu. The vegan ramen was very lackluster in flavor -- it was just salty. I asked for extra chili paste and it made it slightly better. The black tonkotsu was also very very mediocre. My partner finished his bowl but he wasn't the happiest, especially for a comfort meal. And the most disappointing of all was the stirred fried broccoli which was boiled broccoli and I guess flash fried in oil for 2 seconds. It was nasty - not the typically ramen stirred fried broccoli you expect. As for the service, the waiter we had was amazing! He removed the broccoli off our bill because we literally didn't eat it and that was very nice of him. The ambiance is also very nice; good place for a date if only the food was better! read more

I LOVE SOUP NOODLES Favorite ramen in Tulsa :) Come here at least once a month to get my ramen fix. First time trying the JINYA Tonkatsu original and it was delicious. This comes with a pork broth, pork chashu, green onions, spinach, seasoned egg, nori and THICK noodles. Broth is perfect - not too salty and well flavored. Chashu is very tender. Egg is cooked to perfection - not runny and not overcooked, the perfect yellow-orange color. The noodles are my favorite part because it's almost double the thickness of a normal ramen noodle :) Other favorites from past visits: JINYA chicken ramen JINYA wonton chicken ramen - this is my regular with KALE noodle sub Pork gyoza JINYA bun I love that they have different noodle options - thin noodles, kale noodles and thick noodles :) Shoutout to Nancy our server - friendly, energetic and quick service :) Outdoor seating is available which is great for spring/summer nights! Sadly, I had a very poor experience here the other day. I had the worst bowl of ramen I've ever had. I love ramen, and I've had it here a number of times before, and it's been good. This time, though, the broth was extremely thin. By thin, I mean the flavor. Like, it tasted like water with a hint of broth. I hate complaining in a place like this but there was no point in eating it. They brought out a replacement bowl. The flavor was better than the first but still not normal. The second bowl was also oddly very salty. I don't know what's going on here. This place's ramen has always tasted pretty authentic to me. (Admittedly, it's been a long time since I've been there; I was in town for an appt so stopped by.) Anyhow, something is not right. Or at least it wasn't right on that day. I thought this was actually a Japanese company based on past authenticity/quality of the ramen. I do think it might be a chain. I think the company might need to get some quality assurance going, do some surprise visits. The silver lining? The waitstaff person was really nice. No complaints at all there. And the seasoned egg and pork and other ingredients in the ramen were fine. But if you know anything about ramen, you know that a shop's reputation lies in the quality of its broth. read more

I tried the Jinya buns and the pork gyoza. I didn't really care for the buns but it was my first time having them so the consistency was unexpected. I liked the gyoza even more when I added the little chili sauce / paste on top. I got the chicken ramen and honestly it was delicious. It was simple but very flavorful. Only thing I would say is I wis I had a little more broth bc it came out uneven near the end of the bowl with not enough broth and too many noodles. The first restaurant opened in LA in 2010 and has since expanded across the US and Canada. Jinya signature bowl is the Tonkotsu Black. The broth of Jinya Tonkotsu Black is very umamic, made with the highest grade bones. The broth has been simmered for more than 20 hours, creating a very rich and full flavored broth. The pork belly is good at Jinya, 2nd best pork belly I've had. The egg is mostly cooked, slightly runny on the inside, which is good. The spicy chicken ramen is also quite good, although not as good as the tonkotsu black. JINYA always has good service and this location is no exception but I need that "arigatou" to match with the OKC location. JINYA has the best ramen in Tulsa currently for me. For ramen, it's a little pricey. Two bowls and a beer costs more than $33. But the quality matches the price. read more

Waitress took a while to get us our drink even though the place was relatively empty. I ordered Tonkotsu Spicy and was not asked about the spice level. A different person served us our ramen and she didn't know our order. She told us a different ramen than the one we ordered even though she brought the right ramen. Not a good start....I have food allergies to chicken/all foul and I asked about their broth, and they would not assure me there would not be cross contamination between their chicken based and pork based broth...which was a bit of a surprise because it was not an issue at Roppongi...this meant all ramen was off the table, which left a pork rice bowl and a Poke bowl...and they ran out of rice so the bowl was going to take an extra 20 minutes..
