Made it over to Broken Arrow today and went to Tandoori Guys for some Indian food. Great food, nice homey atmosphere and really nice people. Inside the place is fairly dimly lit, but in a cool kinda way. Walls are covered with vibrant prints and the dining room is spacious and roomy. Even at 12:15 or so I was seated immediately by a welcoming, congenial gentleman I assumed is the manager or owner. First trip through the buffet line, saw me dishing up samples of Chicken Biryani, Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Karahi and Aloo BIndhi (a killer dish of potatoes, okra and tomatoes). FIrst off, the plates are a tad on the small side... which is fine, just wanted to get that out there so when I you see the "for my THIRD TRIP", you don't judge.... much. Everything on the first plate was awesome. The chicken Karahi was great, but kind of like crab legs... lots of work for little meat. Not sure how those are prepared, but the meat to bone ratio pretty small. Still, all was good. Second trip, I hit the stuff I didn't get the first time, which included the beef meatballs (Kofta, I think they were called), a couple pieces of tandoori chicken, a few of the veg Bondas (little dumpling balls), a little more Biryani, and some of another rice dish with fried vegetables in it, which was outstanding. Third trip (I warned you) was just for a little more Biryani and meatballs. Overall, there wasn't a single thing I didn't like. Some more than others, but all was good. The Biryani was an obvious favorite. The Tandoori chicken was still moist and tender, despite the buffet setting. The meatballs were another favorite.... those things were like little meaty balls of crack, I couldn't get enough. While I wouldn't consider the food overly spicy, I do think that someone with a mild palate might find it a little much. My nose was definitely active the entire meal, and my taste buds were dancing like crazy. The staff were out of this world friendly and the owner/manager kept my glass full at all times, which was appreciated. The tab ran to just over $17 before a gratuity, which I consider more than reasonable for what I had and how much I enjoyed it. While it's a fair bit off my beaten path, I expect to find myself in BA on Fridays for the conceivable future, so I plan on return trips often. read more

Best Indian food in Tulsa.! Flavors were authentic with a great variety of options (meat and vegetarian). The staff was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was really cute with Indian decor. Tandoori Guys was really excellent. I went with 2 friends from work and we all loved our food. One opted for the buffet, and 2 of us ordered from the menu. I was glad we had the option to do either! Even though it's in a strip mall, the restaurant is tastefully decorated and very pleasant inside. They seemed a little understaffed for waiters, since most people were doing the buffet, but everyone was very friendly. I started off with the vegetable samosas (was too hungry to take a pic!) which were excellent. Nice, flaky thin pastry and delicious filling. Food was great! I'm not a huge fan of curry, so I got a dish that was vegetarian and was mild. My husband got a curry lamb dish. Both were excellent! We had it with some buttered naan. Soooo goood! I love that they have a buffet so that you can try different dishes. Service has always been good on our visits. Friendly staff can answer any questions you have related to possible allergens. Amazing buffet. Unassuming in a strip mall but they really made it feel more upscale inside than typical. I tries almost every buffet item. Everything is worth trying a bit of, but my favorites included the sweet almond wheat dessert, the pickled veggies with mango chunks, the tandoori chicken, the naan, and the vegan dishes. Very high quality, authentic food. If you've been to India Palace and enjoyed that...this may not be for you. This is true Indian cuisine and excellent. The service is quick and very professional and polite. Makes it feel more upscale. My *only* complaint is there needs to be more veggies. This is *very* carb heavy - rice/potatoes/naan. Also, the mint chutney was very lacking in flavor. But the chili sauce is a good substitute for that. The prices are unbeatable - my kids were $8 and my 4 year old was free. indian food is hit or miss for me, especially when it comes to curry. there are things in particular that i know i'll enjoy off hand (naan + chutney) & the thing is there's so many options to choose from that i want to try something different every time i give it a chance. tandoori guys was recommended & there were a couple of things ordered that i enjoyed. first, the cauliflower aka the gobi 65 is something i'd get over & over & over again. it was exactly what i needed. the selection can come in different levels of heat & i was in the middle, i'm going up another notch the next time. i got a chance to try my partner's chili paneer & i added rice. it was really good. there was some leftover that i had the next day & it was even better. outside of that, it was mentioned to me about their buffet & that would be the best way for me to try a ton of what tandoori guys has to offer. i had to look over the menu more than a few times until i was satisfied with what i wanted & all in all, i enjoyed everything. read more

If you are looking for an Indian buffet, look no further. Tandoori Guys is IT. The food is delicious on its own and even better considering it's a buffet. The food is fresh and made of the highest quality. The chicken at Tandoori Guys is the best. No chicken breasts being used in the food, only chicken legs, thighs and quarters (I think). The result is chicken meat that is soft and moist, not dry like at other buffets. The delicious food completely justify the higher buffet price, which I don't mind at all. What I am about to tell you next has never happened to me before. For a buffet, I usually come in to try a little bit of everything on my first plate then come back for my favorites the second time. After finishing with my first plate I got up to get my second plate. When I came back, my table was cleaned up and there were 2 new customers people sitting in my table. How the heck? So fast? I thought I've lost my mind because I couldn't find my table. Apology was given and they gave me a different table, but it did detract from a perfect dining experience. Took a star off as a result. I was most recently here for the time honored Jewish tradition- eating Asian food on Christmas. Although it is tradition to eat Chinese food the occasion, it's 2024. Why not live a little, maybe. There are always so many vegan options and they are always good. The items are clearly labeled with allergens, if they are vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free which makes it so easy for every one. Here is a place that sets everyone up for success, staff, customers, well meaning friends, the whole mishpocha! I've been here so many times over the years and never had a bad experience. A quaint Indian spot tucked into a little strip of broken arrow, Tandoori guys is a relaxing escape from the Midwest to a much more peaceful corner of the globe. We stopped in for their all day buffet on a Friday, which was pleasantly well stocked and consistently refreshed so everything stayed fresh. The flavors were pretty good, but whoever was in the kitchen was a little too heavy handed with the spices. As someone who doesn't care for spicy foods, this made many of the dishes bend together so that nothing stood out. I also felt like a little more variety would have been good. Almost everything was chicken or veggie based, it would have been nice to see some kind of mutton or fish option. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and when the one dish our group ordered ala cart came out too spicy, they were prompt to have it redone, and it came out delicious! Overall, I wouldn't have a problem going back. It was good, but I don't know that it would be my first choice for an Indian craving unless I was right there. read more

Obviously not enticing enough to make me a regular customer. We were looking to take a break from Mexican food today without having to drive across town. Time for a revisit to Tandoori Guys. I am hardly an expert on Indian food, but I can sort out good from bad. Some of the buffet items weren't great. The stand out for me was the Tandoori chicken, Tikka masala, and the rice dish Biryani. The meat in the Biryani didn't look to great so just the rice for me. It went well with the Tikka masala sauce. Tandoori chicken is pretty hard to screw up. Theirs was moist and flavorful. I tried a little of everything on the buffet. The other offerings were not that great. The Mango pudding was not even close to being pudding. More like mango flavored milk. We placed a to-go order, which was packed and ready to go in about 20 minutes. The young man who took our order was friendly and helpful. We arrived home after about a 25 minute drive, and the food was still hot! Chicken Khorma was savory, fragrant, had the perfect amount of spice, and delicious!! Pros: my husband and his coworkers love this place. Great selection. Good service. Cons: I grew up with a very kind Pakistani baby sitter and hated the food I was served. Then as an adult, this delightful Indian couple who did my taxes, would insist on preparing elaborate multi course meals for me yearly.
