A big big big thumbs up for Daddy Bs. A couple of my friends and I decided to go out for lunch today. We wanted barbecue and although I had suggested a couple places one of my friends suggested Daddy B's. He had never been there before but had driven by a bunch of times. So Daddy B's it was. What a great call. We had an awesome waitress (Alex) and she was able to put up with our shenanigans quite well. When asked for suggestions or just general questions she was able to answer everything very well and to our satisfaction. The atmosphere is relaxed but it was quite nice inside. It's actually pretty good sized place with a bar on the right side and lots of restaurant seating on the left side. I ordered a ribs dinner and that consisted of three very meaty ribs and included two sides and bread. I ordered baked beans and french fries and both were excellent. The beans had a very subtle kicked to them and the french fries were honestly I think the best french fries I've ever had anywhere. I added on two extra meats, baloney and pulled pork. Generous portions of everything and I couldn't finish my plate and had to take some home. There were two types of barbecue sauce at the table, a mild and a hot. The hot had a nice tang to it but it wasn't super hot. It was my preference. we all agreed the Daddy B's is an excellent choice if you're looking for good barbecue. For dessert I ordered a coconut cream pie and a German chocolate cake to take home. I haven't eaten the German chocolate cake yet, but I did eat the coconut cream pie and it was just OK. DEFINITELY NOT KANSAS CITY BBQ & you definitely need teeth to eat the food. The food was not bad at all though. I did enjoyed it to an extent, their menus are not up-to-date with drinks, they show that they offer diet Pepsi, but only offer diet Dr Pepper, no more diet Pepsi. The loaded fries were a 7/10. I didn't like how they poured on a silver tray with no lining underneath. It was almost mentally hard to eat it simply because you don't know how well they clean their trays nevertheless, I was able to get past that and still enjoy the meat. The french fries don't seem to be super fresh, the cheese is not melted cheese, but shredded cheese . The ribs were pretty good, but definitely need teeth to eat, they are not rough or nasty, they're actually good but not falling off the bone for us at least. First time coming here, stopped here on a whim after driving by it for dinner. Interior is odd. Only posters of restaurant advertising hanging on walls. Fabric booth backs have been spray painted black as well as plastic seat bottoms having spray painted black as well. The interior was definitely worn and could use some work. The staff was hit or miss as some servers are good. Nice selection of meats and sides though. Both shredded beef and sliced beef are a little on the dry side. The smoked chicken was good but a hair dry as well. Hot links were good. The star of the show was the pulled pork as it was moist and juicy. The baked beans were 10 out of 10 awesome. The fried okra side was actually in-house breaded and very good. The potato salad seemed a little different as it's half mashed potatoes and half potato chunks with an unusual taste. In Oklahoma, you never have trouble finding barbecue that's mid. But to find something truly exquisite, that's harder to pull off. Daddy B's pulls off what many only dream of when it comes to amazing barbecue. I was delighted when I took my first bite of the burnt ends and was greeted with the most well-seasoned, juicy, tender bite of my life. I can honestly say I've never had better burnt ends anywhere else. The same was to be said about the other meats that I tried when I visited. And the best tip I can give is to make sure you grab a dessert, even if it's to go. I had a slice of their lemon cake and it blew my socks off. Talk about amazing. The staff here are all absolutely wonderful folks, who will make sure you're well taken care of during your visit. You really don't have to go anywhere else in Tulsa for barbecue, because the best is right here. read more

This place, not sure if it is homage or just wishful thinking but they have a ways to go. The ribs - on a prior weekend visit they were amazing!!! BUT, this time they missed their mark. they were decent but rather chewy...the dry rub was evident but not infused into the meat. The fries were lukewarm and soggy. The catfish was fried nicely and the presentation was nice. The seasoning was strange - it was a bit salty. It was not southern cornmeal type. Wash it, mix some salt and pepper in the cornmeal and dredge the wet fish i in the cornmeal. I was so disappointed and could only eat one piece of it and had to force it down. The sauce that was supposed to be tartar sauce was nothing like tartar sauce. I couldn't stand it either. So disappointed. It's good bbq! Nothing was dry and everything tasted good. I still like my home made stuff better but when you don't want to spend hours slaving over the smoker give this place a try. The sauce was a little sweet for me but not bad at all. My wife was not a fan of the potato salad but I liked it. It was different, seeming to be made with sweet relish. I made the mistake of coming here a couple of days after my return from California or whatever and being away for 12-years. What an absolute mistake. I gave this despicable and disrespectful place numerous tries. I think three is more than sufficient but the food became increasingly more hated on during the time they took to prepare it. The first visit, I had purchased the "Catfish Dinner" and I don't know if I hated myself for the decision/choice, or the people who made sure that the choice was the wrong one altogether. I cannot be certain that it was the person who cooked the food - the only way I would give the benefit of the doubt--or benefit of the 'certainty'-- was by finding that the person who cooked or prepared the food, was somebody that I loved with everything in my heart and soul, limited to the supplies given and used for the "dish". The taste of the friend fish was reminiscent of something caught on a fishing line in the middle of the Summer in a locally 'drained' sewer creek. Alongside this situation, the fried ocra, piece by piece, was the most disgustingly mucusy garbage I have ever failed to consume. On top of this, I've actually made a shocking discovery regarding the preparation of the food. During the nighttime, whenever I walk by the establishment, there is a strong smell of the cooking of meat - as if the building was occupied at all hours by employees in preemptive preparation of the food. So me and some coworkers stumbled upon this place while out in the field doing work and looking for a place to eat lunch. First thing we noticed is how friendly the staff is. We have been there four times now and just keep going back because food is incredible and the staff is friendly and super attentive. I would absolutely recommend the rib dinner. You get three ribs, which to me doesn't sound like a lot but they are big. And every time we go at least one of us gets the rib dinner and every time the ribs are thick and meaty and cooked well with a good rub. Price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for work, a date, or even a family dinner. It won't disappoint! Oh, and the pic I posted is a rack of ribs which says there are 10-12.
