They don't do specials on the weekends at this location. No biggie. Placed our order. Food came out pretty quickly. My fries were lukewarm. Waitress checked back once. But never brought our ticket. Absolutely Fantastic! The food, the service all top notch. We ordered the catfish plate and the rib plate. Catfish was hot, fresh and seasoned perfectly. The ribs were so tender and seasoned with Daddy B's special Rub, no BBQ sauce needed! Sides were excellent. I don't know where you can go that you can get better bbq ribs and catfish than here! Fantastic homestyle service and they do great job smoking the meats. I had the brisket and I was very happy with it.

So me and some coworkers stumbled upon this place while out in the field doing work and looking for a place to eat lunch. First thing we noticed is how friendly the staff is. We have been there four times now and just keep going back because food is incredible and the staff is friendly and super attentive. I would absolutely recommend the rib dinner. You get three ribs, which to me doesn't sound like a lot but they are big. And every time we go at least one of us gets the rib dinner and every time the ribs are thick and meaty and cooked well with a good rub. Price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for work, a date, or even a family dinner. It won't disappoint! Oh, and the pic I posted is a rack of ribs which says there are 10-12. I was thinking they'd be big on one end and taper to the smaller ribs. No, these things are all long and thick. Incredible! read more

First visit.... We literally just walked out. We (2 adults, 1 child) came in, got seated. About 5 minutes later, another, table (4 adults) came in and got seated. Waitress came out, took their drink order and food order right away and told us that she'd be back with us. She came back out, brought drinks to the other table, checked on her other customers and walked right by us. At this point we knew what we wanted to drink and eat. About 15 minutes later, she came back out to give the bill to other tables and walked right by us once again. Needless to say, we saw all we needed to see. Friends with us ordered the ribs and said they were some of the best they'd had. The serving portions are big so prepare to share or take home for later. Converting a food truck into a full scale restaurant is a tough transformation. I have visited many T to R conversions and find its difficult for food trucks to achieve a footing in the restaurant business. To put it best, it's like when I sing in the shower I sound dang decent. What a beautiful voice, someone could say. You should sing for the world. Nah! I know my lane. I would need to learn how to sing outside my zone before singing to a different group of people whose zoned inside. This was the problem. The brisket was tender. Which was good. The meat had a relatively lite smokey flavor. Yet, what was acceptable for truck food is not as tolerable for dining food. The brisket was salty and greasy. I'd assume that the grease was a composite of the meat fat and something else to preserve it. In the photo (you might need to pinch and zoom), the brisket has additional seasoning sprinkled on top of meat (Did you see it?). This intensified the saltiness of the meat. I purchased a pound of brisket around the time they were closing. It took about fifteen minutes before getting my food. The restaurants cleanness was decent. The workers were friendly. The owner describes his bbq as being more Tennessee style than Texas. But holds that its truly a special take on Oklahoman style of bbq. I'll visit again in the distant future and update my review as needed. read more

Oh my! Where to begin? This was a twilight zone experience. Aftewr a long wait in very quiet restaurant someone took our order. When our food arrived the meat was coldon both orders. French fries where hot and crispy. They said they would remake the orders. It took a long time to get the corrected food. We saw 3 other tables receive their food. The food was still cold and we received okra instead of the coleslaw that was ordered. I took both orders to the front and they apologized again and would remake it. Third time food still cold, french fries soggy and no coleslaw. I would not eat mine because the food had been handled 3 times. We then listened to 4 other tables with complaints for the manager as my husband ate his cold food. Something strange was going on. Had been there about 6 other times, food was good. Watched for what seems like months while they remodeled with great anticipation. We didn't make it to opening day but shortly thereafter. Very first visit and we were fans immediately. Friendly service, straightforward menu, excellent food, generous portions, nice laidback atmosphere with classic R&B and Blues playing at a pleasant level. Read an article on this place opening a new location and saw it was close to home so I stopped in. This place has some good food! Service was quick and friendly. The ribs are freaking amazing. No sauce necessary! Also had the chopped brisket which was juicy and flavorful. The dinners are fairly priced and a deal for the amount of food you get. The French fries and fried okra were very good. I couldn't stop eating the fries. Very nicely seasoned. We also had the catfish which is also very tasty and doesn't even require tarter sauce. Perhaps you have noticed that we are lacking for good BBQ (in Tul, Okla) ... we should have the good stuff on every corner! Unfortunately, that is not the case. Daddy B's checks almost every box ... tried several mains: Ribs, pulled pork, hot link, bologna. Also had okra & beans. I feel like the ribs, ppork & hot link were the definite highlights ... bologna was good, not great. Beans were not bad, but not too exciting (yes, sometimes I find excitement in bbq restaurant beans :) Sauces did a fine job ... I'd like to see an even spicier version than the hot. Service was superb (on a busy Sat afternoon) .... Ms. TIFFANY was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. We plan to go back and ask for one of her tables bc she helped make our first experience a success! Tried to get a bite of lemon pie ... but my kids demolished it before I had a chance. I went in on Friday night to order take out. Placed my order, nothing unusual, and paid. After waiting 40 minutes, an employee checked on my order...it had not been sent to the back. She was apologetic and was dealing with it. As they were busy, I was willing to cut them some slack. She talked with the kitchen. After 15 minutes more, someone else came to me and said they were so sorry, we are so busy, etc. and worked up a refund for me. When I asked should I wait longer for food....was told no that was it. Then she wished me a good night. My comment.."seriously?" Needless to say, this was a shocking way to treat a customer. Good thing I am by nature a calm person. In all my 63 years, I have never been treated in this manner. They had several ways to make this right with a customer and failed at every level.
