I have loved coming here for years, but the last time I went, I got all the way home and discovered one of my entrees was missing. I called and spoke with a girl. She offered to put me on a free items list for later as compensation, but I really was not interested in pre-paying for my food in the future, so i asked to be refunded the amount of the entree. She said she had to speak with someone else, then a boy got on the phone and said "i don't see how you could be missing your entree because we don't have an extra one". I told him he must have put it in someone else's bag because I did not have it. He then tried to offer to remake it, but i live 10 minutes away so the rest of my food would be cold, so i just wanted a refund. He said he would process the refund, then abruptly hung up on me. I understand sometimes people attempt to lie for free food and this tactic may get them to admit they are lying, but as someone who legitimately did not get their food, being treated this way for no fault of my own was beyond insulting. If you want to be rude to bad customers, you better be damn sure you're right, or you might just lose a loyal legitimate one in the process. read more

My boyfriend (who's from India) and I stopped at this place while driving through Tulsa on a roadtrip. We could tell immediately when we walked in that it was far from authentic. Which is fine, if that's not something you're looking for. We ordered the lollipop wings and they stained our fingers red from food dye. They were not spicy, just bright red. I ordered the Coconut Korma, which was not bad. But my boyfriend got the Desi Noodles, and they were NEON red. It was clear that they used an excessive amount of food coloring. All I'm trying to say is that if you are looking for Americanized Indian food, then you can come here. But if you want something authentic, steer clear from this place. Shocking news, I ordered something other than the chicken tikka masala for the first time. Whaaaaaat?!?! Well, I didn't stray too far away because I got the chicken vindaloo, but still. Not the same. I've had vindaloo in the past, so I somewhat knew what to expect. However, there wasn't any description of the dish (or any of the Indian dishes in that section of the menu), so I wasn't completely sure if it would be the same as what I had in the past. That's definitely something that could be an area of improvement. Especially since I'd guess many people (including myself) aren't as naturally familiar with Indian dishes. But I was happy that it did come with potatoes as I've had before other places. I ordered the hot level, which I felt would be enough. I'm pretty sure this is what I get sometimes with the tikka masala (and sometimes the extra hot depending on what I'm feeling that day). I've always heard that vindaloo is one of the spiciest things in the cuisine, so decided to play it a little safer, assuming the hot level of vindaloo wouldn't necessarily be the same as the hot level of tikka masala (since they're different dishes). Strangely, I didn't think it was the slightest bit spicy. Truly not even a little. I wasn't expecting that. So definitely a bit disappointed there. If I order it again, I'll go a MINIMUM of one level up, but maybe two since I seriously didn't think it was spicy at all. Though, this isn't to say it wasn't well-spiced with a good overall flavor, just not spicy. I really hated to write this review, but for the last few times we have been dissatisfied. First off, their prices keep going up and the quality is going down. No consistency in the food from one order to the next. Ordered the Szechuan chicken and the best description I have is mushy and bland. It's supposed to be spicy but I couldn't detect any spice. The vegetables were overcooked as well. Same with the Biryani Vegetable! This used to be my absolute favorite dish, but this last time it was mushy and greasy. Everything was delicious, nice spice level, but I could have eaten hotter, and a nice creamy flavor from the butter chicken, though it could have been a bit more flavorful. I didn't get a picture of the food because I was in such a hurry to eat it when I got home lol. This is only my second time to go to Desi Wok But my second to get their chicken tikka masala. I probably will never get anything else just because there's is so good. Wonderfully fragrant rice and the rich, creamy, tomato sauce with tender chicken is in a separate container so everything doesn't get all goopy. This is at least two servings for me so I'm excited already to eat it for lunch later today. He loves the butter chicken, I opt for either the chicken Tikka Masala, or the Seekh Kabab! The portions are huge, so bring a big appetite! I always end up taking plenty of leftovers home. The employees are always friendly and that naan bread is to die for. My only complaint is the decor. It is bland, and doesn't match what they're marketing. The cheeseburger masala is an absolute must!!! My daughter raved about it soooooo many times that i finally tried it. I do not like masala but this one changed my life! I've been to Desi Wok a few times and ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which is chicken in a bowl of creamy Masala Sauce served aside rice and nan. Today I tried the Chicken Tikka. It's chicken chunks that have been marinated and basically taste grilled , rice, nan, a portion of masala sauce; also there's some fresh sliced tomatoes, carrots, and cucumber on the side. I really enjoyed the chicken. I did prefer the creamy masala over the regular masala. My garlic nan tasted great and was served warm. I ate a few carrots from the veggie portion but otherwise it was wasted which made me feel bad. I guess I was expecting steamed vegetables or something ‍. It's worth mentioning that the staff was very patient and great at explaining certain dishes to me. Desi Wok isn't the best Indian Food I've had but it's at the top of my list. read more

First time trying this place. Very pleasant atmosphere. You order at the counter, get a number, then they bring it out to your table when ready. The food came out very quickly. The samosas were amazing! They come with two sauces, a cilantro sauce and a brown slightly sweet sauce. I loved the cilantro sauce. It added just a pinch of heat to the samosa...perfection! My sister and I shared the korma and Tika masala. I thought the korma was ok. She liked it better than I did. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, Not mushy or too Al dente. I think the korma was just a little bland for my tastes. However, the Tika Masala was FULL of flavor! The portion was large and I only ate half of it. It doesn't have as much spice as other ones I've had but it was still really good. I upped the naan that comes with the chicken tikka Masala to a garlic naan for $1 extra but I didn't really taste much garlic. The Bombay special was okay. I wouldn't get it again but my boyfriend liked it, he said he especially liked the omelette on top of the dish. What I really like about this restaurant is the spice option which are mild, hot, extra hot or broski. The employee told us broski is a habanero spice. I got extra hot and it was perfect for me. If you're looking for tasty, soulful Indian food, this place is not it. It tastes very American. The rice and the masala were also on the same plate? Every Indian place I've been to has given me an empty plate, a bowl of rice, and a bowl with the masala in it. However, it was a good ratio of rice to masala. However, if you're looking for something fast with an alright taste, I'd recommend. There was a cute little robot that followed our waitress around so that was cool.
