I love this place. Granted it is pricey, but it's nice to visit from time to time. The food is always super fast and yummy. The butter chicken is wonderful. However, I don't really like how the chicken looks super dark and not the typical white meat. read more

Ordered take out , this place should not be called Desi ( Indian ) the worst of the worst food I have ever seen , it tasted equally bad . It's a sad effort to try to sell this as Indian food , it looked and tasted like canned ( don't mean to insult canning of food ) . Pure garbage, we tasted a little bit and threw the remaining in the trash . Stay away from this sad place pretending to serve human food , I would not feed this to animals . This place should not be allowed to exist, I hope the authorities raid this place and lock this dump for good read more

This place will bring the heat if you want them too. Everything is so flavorful! The restaurant smells amazing as soon as you walk in. There are several vegetarian options to choose from, but lots of meat options if that's your thing. Meals here can get a little pricey but the portions are large and can be shared. Get the cheese filled naan! Basically anything on the menu is good - ask the staff for recommendations if you're unsure what to get, or just want to switch things up. Decent amount of seating, and food is delivered to your table decent quick for a fast lunch. read more

I have loved coming here for years, but the last time I went, I got all the way home and discovered one of my entrees was missing. I called and spoke with a girl. She offered to put me on a free items list for later as compensation, but I really was not interested in pre-paying for my food in the future, so i asked to be refunded the amount of the entree. She said she had to speak with someone else, then a boy got on the phone and said "i don't see how you could be missing your entree because we don't have an extra one". I told him he must have put it in someone else's bag because I did not have it. He then tried to offer to remake it, but i live 10 minutes away so the rest of my food would be cold, so i just wanted a refund. He said he would process the refund, then abruptly hung up on me. I understand sometimes people attempt to lie for free food and this tactic may get them to admit they are lying, but as someone who legitimately did not get their food, being treated this way for no fault of my own was beyond insulting. If you want to be rude to bad customers, you better be damn sure you're right, or you might just lose a loyal legitimate one in the process. read more

My boyfriend (who's from India) and I stopped at this place while driving through Tulsa on a roadtrip. We could tell immediately when we walked in that it was far from authentic. Which is fine, if that's not something you're looking for. We ordered the lollipop wings and they stained our fingers red from food dye. They were not spicy, just bright red. I ordered the Coconut Korma, which was not bad. But my boyfriend got the Desi Noodles, and they were NEON red. It was clear that they used an excessive amount of food coloring. All I'm trying to say is that if you are looking for Americanized Indian food, then you can come here. But if you want something authentic, steer clear from this place. Indian cuisine is filled with wonderful and complex spices if you go to the right restaurant, and this is not that restaurant. It is also far too expensive for the quality of food. read more

I would try it again. Love that the vegan and gf options are listed on the menu! I ordered the blazing noodles vegan and GF and would not get it again. It really heavily tasted of sour vinegar. Gave me a stomach ache. I would try again but the curry instead. read more

Been coming back here anytime i want some India flavors and the fusion with Asian dishes is really fun. I enjoy the Tiki Masala with Lamb 9/10 add veggies. Should be included for the price been thinking of bringing my own from home. The bangin noodles are great also. read more

I want to start off by saying I've been to this place over a number of years - and have ALWAYS had a good experience! This last time the food gave my friend and I a horrible stomach ache. The food was OK going down (not as good as it's been before) and it was also a different colour than when previously ordered! The service itself was really good, clean tables, the cream soda is to DIE for! read more

Desi Wok - Desi Noodles* (medium) & Desi Combo* - Indian Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Girl with long gorgeous black hair was so sweet and welcoming!!! Food super good... definitely coming back!

I'm mad about this 3.5* rating. Desi Wok is consistently one of our favorites. Generous portions, excellent food all around. It's quick for takeout. I've taken a handful of friends here and never heard a single negative thing. Our service has been great every time, and the restaurant is always clean. The interior is nothing to write home about, and not everything on their menu is authentic. But wow, that overall rating is criminal. I will take no Desi Wok slander. read more

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! Service is great and the food is SOOOOOO GOOD!!! It's different than local options. You'll love it!

Great food. Catering ready when we needed it. No complaints. May not win any Michelin awards or be the mist authentic indian place, bit great for Tulsa, OK read more

Shocking news, I ordered something other than the chicken tikka masala for the first time. Whaaaaaat?!?! Well, I didn't stray too far away because I got the chicken vindaloo, but still. Not the same. I've had vindaloo in the past, so I somewhat knew what to expect. However, there wasn't any description of the dish (or any of the Indian dishes in that section of the menu), so I wasn't completely sure if it would be the same as what I had in the past. That's definitely something that could be an area of improvement. Especially since I'd guess many people (including myself) aren't as naturally familiar with Indian dishes. But I was happy that it did come with potatoes as I've had before other places. I ordered the hot level, which I felt would be enough. I'm pretty sure this is what I get sometimes with the tikka masala (and sometimes the extra hot depending on what I'm feeling that day). I've always heard that vindaloo is one of the spiciest things in the cuisine, so decided to play it a little safer, assuming the hot level of vindaloo wouldn't necessarily be the same as the hot level of tikka masala (since they're different dishes). Strangely, I didn't think it was the slightest bit spicy. Truly not even a little. I wasn't expecting that. So definitely a bit disappointed there. If I order it again, I'll go a MINIMUM of one level up, but maybe two since I seriously didn't think it was spicy at all. Though, this isn't to say it wasn't well-spiced with a good overall flavor, just not spicy. PS: can we start a petition to make a new word to differentiate spicy vs spices, and also hot spicy vs hot temperature. It drives me crazy!! Haha. read more

Great food and service! love Desi Wok's Desi Fried Rice and the Tikka Masala! Great atmosphere to relax and enjoy a conversation, as well

by far the worst Indian food I have ever had. The tomato sauce was sweet not at all extra spicy what I ask for reminded me of ragu spaghetti sauce rice was not at all basmati no bueno read more

I really hated to write this review, but for the last few times we have been dissatisfied. First off, their prices keep going up and the quality is going down. No consistency in the food from one order to the next. Ordered the Szechuan chicken and the best description I have is mushy and bland. It's supposed to be spicy but I couldn't detect any spice. The vegetables were overcooked as well. Same with the Biryani Vegetable! This used to be my absolute favorite dish, but this last time it was mushy and greasy. I really don't know what has happened to this place, but they definitely need to switch things up and focus on their cooking skills. read more

Pretty good. Reasonably fair prices. Portions a little smaller than Indian palace. Entrees about half price; but food markedly better at the Palace. The beef korma tonight was dull. I Prefer the Chicken tikka masala. Garlic naan has barely a hint of garlic. $1 upcharge. Cmon Gimme that xtra garlic guys ! They've been here quite some time, surviving a kitchen fire a few yrs back. Popular place w: University students and take out. Friendly front of house. read more

This is the worst Indian cuisine I have ever encountered. This is ridiculous! Not to mention, the staff is not welcoming to first time patrons. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. You do better taking a chance at preparing your own at home! read more

For dinner, I ordered the butter chicken, extra hot, garlic naan and iced chai. Everything was delicious, nice spice level, but I could have eaten hotter, and a nice creamy flavor from the butter chicken, though it could have been a bit more flavorful. The chicken tika masala is tasty, as are the yummy noodles for our kids. The garlic naan is excellent, and we have friends who are enamored with the wings here, even the Buffalo wings. We have not branched out here yet, and tried all of their dishes, because we so thoroughly enjoy the ones that we like. The service here is very generic, as they just drop off food at your place and there is no attention after that. read more

I didn't get a picture of the food because I was in such a hurry to eat it when I got home lol. This is only my second time to go to Desi Wok But my second to get their chicken tikka masala. I probably will never get anything else just because there's is so good. Wonderfully fragrant rice and the rich, creamy, tomato sauce with tender chicken is in a separate container so everything doesn't get all goopy. This is at least two servings for me so I'm excited already to eat it for lunch later today. I'm sure The rest of their menu is also excellent but I don't know if I can pull myself away from this wonderful dish! Highly recommend! read more

Desi Wok - Chichen Saag, cheese bread, rice. - Indian Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Overall Experience: The lady who assisted me was so kind, and it was a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the classic chicken tikka masala dish, and I came home full with leftovers in hand. The masala was rich, basmati rice was cooked perfectly, and the chicken deserved an award on its own. Crispy lamb kebob as an appetizer was the best way I could have started. It was crisped to perfection, and the lamb was so tender read more

The atmosphere was nice, clean but basic. When you walk in, you order off the menu and pay and then sit down. The food came really quickly- faster than most fast food restaurants. However the authentic Indian taste was lacking. This is definitely an American Indian fusion with more emphasis on reaching the American crowd. They have a good size menu, lots of options. We would definitely pass on the chai and mango lassi. They were not good. I ordered the pina colada korma which was korma with pineapple chunks and coconut milk. I enjoyed that but did not like the lamb. The lamb was in the form of a sausage and not fresh. Chicken next time. If you never had real Indian food this is a good start but would not satisfy any Desi or food connoisseur. read more

Tulsa is not lacking in any Indian food restaurants. However, Desi Wok is one of my very favorites. My boyfriend and I love coming to Desi Wok to fill our Indian food craving! He loves the butter chicken, I opt for either the chicken Tikka Masala, or the Seekh Kabab! The portions are huge, so bring a big appetite! I always end up taking plenty of leftovers home. The employees are always friendly and that naan bread is to die for. My only complaint is the decor. It is bland, and doesn't match what they're marketing. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that the food is delicious! read more

We usually order the tikka masala with garlic/spinach naan. You can choose the meat you like and the spice level. The lamb came in pieces of kebab meat. I tried the Desi combo today. The portions for the noodles is huge. I like their variety of stubborn soda here. The lollipop wings look more spicy than they actually are. read more

This food is AMAZING-- they were super fast in getting my order completed. They were nice and accommodating! I recommend!!

The cheeseburger masala is an absolute must!!! My daughter raved about it soooooo many times that i finally tried it. I do not like masala but this one changed my life! So delicious and pair of with the garlic cheese naan bread.... LAWD! I gave it 4 stars because I also got the lamb fried rice. It is not fried rice at all. It is more moist with a light tomato sauce., Not what I expected and I was not a fan. The lamb in the rice was phenomenal. The rice was just not my cup of tea. read more

This restaurant had many options, I like it! I was able to eat my favorite Indian food. Everything looked clean, staff was very friendly, music was nice, and the sits where confortable. I've been to Desi Wok a few times and ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which is chicken in a bowl of creamy Masala Sauce served aside rice and nan. Today I tried the Chicken Tikka. It's chicken chunks that have been marinated and basically taste grilled , rice, nan, a portion of masala sauce; also there's some fresh sliced tomatoes, carrots, and cucumber on the side. I really enjoyed the chicken. I did prefer the creamy masala over the regular masala. My garlic nan tasted great and was served warm. I ate a few carrots from the veggie portion but otherwise it was wasted which made me feel bad. I guess I was expecting steamed vegetables or something ‍. It's worth mentioning that the staff was very patient and great at explaining certain dishes to me. Desi Wok isn't the best Indian Food I've had but it's at the top of my list. read more

Desi Wok - Chicken Tikka Yum Yum - Indian Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

My fam is from India. This is kind of the coney cafe when you go to a steak house. You expect more authenticity and just better food. Look at a pic of chicken tikka masala from there and compare it to pic at other restaurants. It's mainly plain sauce not chicken. We tried 2-3 times when we moved to Tulsa because it's close. No more. read more

First time trying this place. Very pleasant atmosphere. You order at the counter, get a number, then they bring it out to your table when ready. The food came out very quickly. The samosas were amazing! They come with two sauces, a cilantro sauce and a brown slightly sweet sauce. I loved the cilantro sauce. It added just a pinch of heat to the samosa...perfection! My sister and I shared the korma and Tika masala. I thought the korma was ok. She liked it better than I did. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, Not mushy or too Al dente. I think the korma was just a little bland for my tastes. However, the Tika Masala was FULL of flavor! I have eaten at several different Indian restaurants, and I would say this Tika Masala is my favorite. We cannot wait to go back I HIGHLY recommend it! read more

Mmmm I have to say pretty good! The service was awesome too. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Bombay special. The chicken tikka masala was pretty decent. The portion was large and I only ate half of it. It doesn't have as much spice as other ones I've had but it was still really good. I upped the naan that comes with the chicken tikka Masala to a garlic naan for $1 extra but I didn't really taste much garlic. The Bombay special was okay. I wouldn't get it again but my boyfriend liked it, he said he especially liked the omelette on top of the dish. What I really like about this restaurant is the spice option which are mild, hot, extra hot or broski. The employee told us broski is a habanero spice. I got extra hot and it was perfect for me. Anywho, I'd definitely come back for the chicken tikka Masala, service and price. read more
