I love this place! I was in Denver for a conference, and every night someone said: Let's go to Rhein Haus. It took us all week to get here because of other commitments. That was a huge error because all of the other commitments couldn't add up to the experience here. Rhein Haus is an authentic German restaurant. It has an excellent beer section, great food, and looks like it has fun games. The staff was super friendly, and we had a great time. We started with some beers, a sausage sampler, and a giant pretzel. Get this, and you will be treated to some excellent food. But the entree was even better. I opted for the Jagerschnitzel with beef goolash, braised cabbage, and warm potato salad. I have no idea how goolash is made, but it was incredible. The flavor was so rich, and I pictured how great it would have been on a cold Denver night. Unfortunately for me, it was like 80 degrees outside. I am very concerned about the service, management and principles of this establishment TONITE 12/12/25. We have been regular and huge supporters of this establishment for years, especially being fellow LGBTQ members of the community supporting the LGBTQ owners of this establishment. We simply came to Rhein Haus tonite to continue our holiday celebration, and we had a large group. We were a large group so one set went to the bar, the other group were sent to a table adjacent to the bar. The bar group was served immediately, but the table group was not not being served. I addressed this issue with a manager, and he proceeded to kick me out of the bar. I am simply looking to take care of our friends fairly, and this manager felt I was being unfair. Guys this is a sports bar! I get so upset when people give places like this bad reviews! If you are expecting to be treated and dinned like at Four Seasons then go there! This place was super fun. We joined before we went to the nuggets game luckily in time before the crowds got there grabbed a seat at the bar and had the best time! First time going for brunch. I made a reservation because we had eight of us meeting up before an event. We were there right when they opened for our 10am reservation. They have brunch service on Saturday and Sunday. My husband got a beermosa for us to share. It was a blend of the Rhein Haus lager/Radler and Elderflower Liqueur. What a nice light refresher to go with breakfast! I ordered the Currywurst & Frites. It came as a basket of their fries, with a bratwurst on top and drizzled with curry ketchup. Yum! My husband chose the breakfast burrito and got it smothered. The burrito had potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. The green chile smother had a great kick to it. He really enjoyed his breakfast. I left off one star. It was more procedural on the restaurant's part. We had one server at the beginning who took our orders and knew who was with whom. Half way through our time there, she was moved to a different section and someone else took over. That person had difficulty when it came time for the checks. Came here with my beau while visiting Denver. We loved the pretzel with the delicious brown mustard-usually a cheese dip girl but the pretzel and mustard combo was so good I forgot about the cheese! I loved the pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes. Perfectly cooked without being greasy. Hearty portions and tons of beer on tap. Ate here for a work dinner! We were seated immediately upstairs with appetizers ready to go and drink coupons provided for easy bar service. Multiple TVs ready to go for the World Series with Bocce ball available to play if wanted. Buffet style food was excellent with the potatoes and tomahawk steak being the highlights. This is a great place for groups. We easily squeezed 7 people into a table made for 6. The bench-style seating and general decor felt like a German bier hall. The impossible brats were very good. I tried the sweet potato and traditional fries and liked them both. The different sauces served with each were a nice touch --curry ketchup with the traditional fries and something a little sweet with the sweet potato fries. My meat eating friends were happy with all of their choices. Someone got the Berliners for dessert and they received rave reviews. The beer selection was extensive, as advertised. The only thing that was disappointing was the extremely slow and noncommittal service. We waited forever to get our check, and probably would have ordered another round of drinks if the waitstaff had come around more often. read more

The energy level is high here and the bocce ball is in action! This is a great spot for noshing on apps and beer while having fun with friends. With a solid German food menu, there is plenty to choose from. It is a festive environment Nd good for groups. The noise is considerable so don't come here for a quiet conversation. A friend and I had the harvest salad with protein added. She had chicken that she said was very good and I had salmon. It is funny, the salad was actually small, but the amount of meat was large! It was a pretty substantial piece of salmon I had. The salad itself underneath was delicious with caramelized nuts and a fabulous, mustardy vinaigrette or something. The service was the only thing lacking. It was sparse and we finally had to hunt someone down to pay. Could barely hear the host talk when I asked him some questions both times. Food is pretty good here. The bratwurst I got was tasty. The fries and the tots are great as well and they come with curryketchup which brings back many memories for me. The only thing I think that needs some work here is the sauerkraut. It's honestly so sour and does not taste like real German sauerkraut - and please trust me. I was born and raised there, mom had been making it for years and we never ate it straight like it came here. We always cooked it and it was never that sour. This is like the stuff you want on top of a ballpark hot dog, not the stuff you want piled on a plate. I would recommend there be 2 different styles served. The warm kind that's cooked and isn't too sour in flavor, but a mixture of sour and savory, delicious next to a port roast, and then the more American sauerkraut. The reason I took off two stars were mainly because of the prices and the food quality. The food was very expensive for poor quality and small portion sizes. I love a good German beer hall. That's exactly what Rhein Haus is. The beer was classic German style and they had a lot of German food on the menu. They make their own sausages and brautwurst. I got a sampler plate and opted to get the German potato salad, which I usually enjoy quite a bit as it is a warmer type dish. In this case I wasn't a huge fan. I agree with some of the other reviews, that this is more german inspired food. We had the pretzel - which while good - was pretty much just a soft pretzel. The dipping sauces for it were "all over the place" in that the pub cheese was really thick, and the beer cheese was really runny.... tasted good, but lacks consistency. The schnitzel was well cooked, but the apple slaw on top seemed odd. maybe serve that on the side so that its juice doesn't make the otherwise crispy schnitzel soggy. my favorite thing i tasted was the spaetzle! this they nailed!! The staff is SUPER nice!! we had great service - just was somewhat underwhelmed by the eats. if you dine here, skip dessert - not worth the price or the calorie spend. sideways thumbs on this one..... jury's still out. read more

Accompanied by sweet potato fries and a pickle (and deep fried onions on top) this made my empty stomach smile brighter than the sun! And it's quite a volume, too! It was a busy Thursday night where Green Bay Packer fans gathered to watch the game but to my surprise my to-go order came out from the kitchen like the Japanese bullet train. I probably waited only 5 minutes at the tops. This German restaurant has consistent Deutschland atmosphere throughout the establishment with some Bocce lanes. I've been to this place a few time in the past where I didn't consume anything but I finally got a chance for a little bite to eat tonight as a to-go. And I enjoyed it tremendously. Wonderful German restaurant close to some major sports venues in Denver. We stopped in before the Rockies game. There were also several how where headed to the Broncos game. We parked in the 6th street market garage which is roughly half way between the restaurant and Rockies field. This was perfect walking distance and kept us out of the crazy game day traffic. She was well aware of my celiac needs and able to support me with safe gluten free options..... while also making me aware they cannot guarantee a 0% cross contact risk.... We did order a pretzel (not g-free) for the rest of our group though after she said they were made in house. Our girls loved it! The food was wonderful. Everything about this place was great. There's bocce ball in the middle of the restaurant so you can have a beer and play or just watch people. The staff were quick and friendly, and we got our beers fast and our food within 15min. The grillwurst platter was a great way to sample the sausages and WOW, the sausages were all so delicious, but I would come back for the mashed potatoes alone! SO GOOD. The broccolini was equally as delicious; so tender and buttery. They also had a variety of mustards to try. The beer selection was great and we enjoyed both our beers. Came here before the Blink 182 concert and it was a great spot for a group of six! We shared a few beers - I got a good Dewey IPA then a grapefruit radler. My husband and I shared a platter of four sausages that came with sauerkraut and we subbed in German potato salad (greasy but tasty - lots of bacon). The cheddar brat was best! Starting with the food, I normally do not eat when I drink as it typically makes me feel sick (weird, I know). However, everyone was ordering food and the rosemary chicken caught my eye. The chicken was juicy and seasoned/cooked just right along with delicious mashed potatoes. The kitchen is also visible on the way to and from the bathrooms and it looked very clean. So, leading with a positive. The food, the beer, the service, all amazing! I love this place to pregame for Broncos games! The CATCH!! They have an amazing upstairs area that is so fun! Cool bar and lots of space! They won't open it on game days! They allow hours long waits for customers downstairs and have all this great space available . Every time I have asked why: "the manager says so" or "I don't know". I've asked to speak to management and there is never one available. I just called in to get a party of 14 in (11/16/24) for tomorrow and was told sorry no room. I asked about upstairs, won't be open, don't know why. This is more of a GERMAN-INSPIRED place, rather than a real German restaurant. The giant pretzel was hard & dry, with burnt on bottom (even tasted "smoky" burnt, with thick mildly-spicy gelatinous cheese sauce. The best item was salad with light tangy sweet vinaigrette dressing, but the toasted croutons bread was also inedible (so hard), fries were very crunchy (2nd best item). Curry wurst was pretty good with the mildly (VERY mild) spicy sweet sauce on top. Salmon, the wurst, & sauerkraut were bland. The wings were just drenched in mild Tabasco sauce, edible but not the best & nothing special. The burger was decent size with generous fries, but nothing spectacular. Service was good, we were greeted within minutes, got orders in & our food timely. The interior decor is German-inspired, pretty neat. This place is ok, but wont be on our list to go again. I've been to Germany twice, and been to Oktoberfest twice. While this certainly isn't Germany, its definitely got the look and feel of some of the German beer halls I've visited. I was here for a company sponsored event, so everything was free, but I'd definitely visit on my own dime! Friendly staff, and fun German ambience! Lots of beers on tap, some unique cocktails to pick from, and all the assorted foods were great! My husband and I went today after he read reviews saying they had great schnitzel. Well, we started with the pretzel, which was good but salt wasn't evenly distributed and the cheese fondue was thin. We tried the pork schnitzel with apple slaw, mashed potatoes and spatzle. The pretzel breading was a lot like an egg breading, which is not good on pork schnitzel! The lemon caper sauce was also a little strange. The spatzle is different with Parmesan cheese, ok tasting. We also got the apple strudel which was partially warmed, and flavor wasn't bad but could definitely use improvement. This was our first time here. It appeared that they had a lack of servers because service was slow, and they did not seat people, even though they had empty tables.
