Cute little cafe! It tends to get full pretty easily but good service. Simple food options. Adorable bear-shaped iced coffee! Parking is quite difficult but that's the norm in Ridgewood

Burrata Toast

Went in for the first time, service was good despite them not having one of the menu items I wanted. Hot chai was good I felt that it was the perfect amount of chai. Burrata Toast was good although had way too much pesto which I'm sure you could ask to accommodate. The toast was also way too hard but maybe something that can also be advised to toast less. It is a big meal , you will enjoy it. Seating can be challenging despite having gone on a weekday.

The decor and atmosphere in this place was super vibey! The coffee art on my latte and the way the avocado toast was laid out on the plate were both really cute too, but overall this place is eh. The toast was a bit stale and I didn't really appreciate that the only food menu they seemed to have was the one menu up by where customers order despite there being 7-8 tables where people were sitting. There's another Rey Sol in Morristown I might try, but as far as this location I don't think I'll be back!

So good!

Colombian coffee at its best! Great ambiance, delicious Pan de Bono, very friendly staff - will come again for sure!

Cute little coffee shop in Ridgewood with street parking. Lots of yummy treats, a few savory items and of course...coffee and tea. I got an iced Americano and a beef empanada. The empanada was Colombian style, but I was disappointed it didn't come with a sauce. It also wasn't extremely flavorful. My drink was good, but I didn't see any coffee infused ice cubes, as they advertise. Overall nice shop to sit in or for grab and go.

Very good coffee and chocolate chip muffin as truly excellent. Very small interior. Service was friendly. We went out on a limb to get the $14 s'mores latte that came in a smoke chamber but really wasn't worth the $14. Will be back though for everything else

Translation : "we know it's bad, we just don't care"

$14 specialty s'mores latte... sure, I'll try it. The sign said "limited quantity daily" so I'm thinking homemade marshmallows, some sort of limited edition something.... False. What I got was a $14 small cappuccino with no flavor at all, and a store bought marshmallow on the side with a hint of blow torch char. They pass it through a smoke box for some pomp and circumstance, but all in all, it was $10 too much for a bad coffee. Could I assume it was a fluke? Maybe... except for the sign that loosely translates to "many people have this issue and we don't care". Absolutely not worth the hype with so many other amazing shops in town.

I door dashed it and this muffin was so FRESH! Love how crispy the muffin was on the outside while the inside was super goey. I loved the cream inside as well, super generous meanwhile people often skimp out on this.

Been wanting to go here for years and finally got the opportunity! It was very busy on the weekend and the place does not offer a lot of seating or call/online reservations so just be mindful of that or check in and make a reservation in person for a table first and come back later. Their iced coffee is something I highly recommend. I added dulce de leche syrup for flavour. The blend was very delicious and the iced bear was a cute touch Cosmo and Wanda was good but you need to drink it fast otherwise it'll just turn into matcha milk. I would rather get iced lattes here. The avocado toast was really good especially with the poached egg. I tried their beef empanadas and pan de bollo and both were very delicious. If you want to make the trip, you should. It's a cute town and even on a Sunday we found other things to do.

Pan de Bono

Stopped by for breakfast. The pan de bono was okay its was more grainy than I like. The egg cheese croissant was basic, no special flavor to it besides the piece of snowflake toothpick for decor. The hot chocolate with cacao was very good this is what I would go back for. The service was quick. The ambiance was very cute and small but lots of decor and pretty wall.

I stopped by here post workout to check the place out . A friend of mine recommended it to me so I figured why not give it a try ? It is a very cute spacious cafe with a trendy vibrant vibe. They have a few seats outside but majority of seating is inside . The women working the front are friendly they recommended I get a lavender coffee with honey. It was delicious they had other things such as breakfast food and dessert on the menu as well but I stuck with coffee and i highly recommend this spot and will be coming back to try some of the food as well !

I didn't get to see or experience the ambiance inside but I'm sure it's nice - we were seated outside as eating was our priority! I ordered a matcha, and it tasted a little watered down, but still okay. The main courses made up for it. The steak was phenomenal and the sides had so much flavor that nothing felt like an afterthought. Our waitress also had a fun personality, which added to the experience. I'll definitely be back.

The food was fresh (how did they find a flawless avocado in the middle of winter???) and the flavors delicious. The service was outstanding -- weekend brunch was packed, and they put your name on a list in case you want to walk around town while you're waiting. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!

Omelette was tasty, but nothing special. Presentation was super cute though! Inside was clean and cute. Not many tables, so there may be a wait depending on how busy it is when you come. They offered two little slips to each customer - one for a savory crepe and one for a sweet and you can build you own. Great concept but it would be beneficial if the server confirmed the order because we asked for nutella, banana, strawberry, and ice cream and got 2/4. We were in a rush to leave so forgot to check the receipt to see if we were charged for the others; however it was $48 (w/o tip) for 1 panini, 1 crepe and 1 latte so a bit overpriced for the quality of food, in my opinion. The sandwich and crepe were both just okay, nothing to rave about. The drink was aesthetically pleasing with the iced Bear and tasted great. We asked for whipped cream on the latte but our server forgot that too. She also forgot to provide us water until we asked and it came at the end of the meal.  Outside dining was not optimal as it's right next to the railroad tracks and quite loud. There is a kids play area which I thought was a nice addition to the space, but I do wish it was gated off for the younger kids as it's so close to the road! Overall, I found that it was a bit overrated and underwhelming... there are so many restaurants to choose from in the area that I wouldn't opt to come back here.

We had several servers handling our order. To start, I had a hot tea with honey. The honey was an interesting consistency and was not as thick as expected. Seemed to be a little watery but the taste was good when mixed in my tea. For appetizer, we split the Crispy Ddukbokki which were sweet & spicy crispy rice cakes with a side of a soft boiled egg, topped with everything seasoning. We both really enjoyed the flavor of these rice cakes. For my main course, I had the Rainbow Salad with grilled chicken. The portion was very good and all of the veggies in the salad were super fresh. The presentation was very pretty. Parking can be a bit tricky but luckily we were able to find parking on one of the side streets. Overall a cute little breakfast/brunch place in the Glen Rock downtown. We started with a Rose Latte and Cafe Latte. Both beverages were phenomenal, at the perfect temperature, and in large mugs. The entrees were fantastic: Crispy Ddukbokki (sweet and spicy crispy rice cakes, jammy egg, everything seasoning) and the Egg Breakfast (2 eggs, Turkey Bacon, Toast, Tater-Tots). The Ddukbokki was firm, pleasantly spicy, and that sauce was exquisite. The Egg Breakfast was deliciously seasoned and filling. One thing that I appreciate about Honey Day is, that it takes a fair amount of time for the food to be presented. I don't mind that, at all. Once the food arrives, you could tell that it was all made fresh and with appealing presentations. Honey Day will continue to be a breakfast/brunch top pick and hope everyone enjoys their memorable food.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ PHENOMENAL FOOD!!!!! ++++ Miso Marinated Salmon - Was absolutely delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly, wasn't dry and still moist. The citrus scented wild rice was excellent too. ++++ Truffle Burger - Honestly, one of the BEST burgers I've had in a longggggg, longgggg time. Everything was perfect about it - the caramelized onions, gruyere on top, bacon, truffle aioli, and, of course, the burger itself. The patty was dripppping with juices with every single bite and cooked to medium excellence. Oh, and those truffle fries that came with it? To die for! Loved the thinness of them and there was PLENTY of it to go around. ++++ Kids Macaroni & Cheese with Fruit - Relatively simple, but the creamy kind of mac and cheese. Kids absolutely loved it. The fruits were just grapes and a few little slices of pineapple, which we would have liked a bit more of. ++++ Kids Cheeseburger and Fries - Burger was DEFINITELY, without a doubt cooked well-done. It was a bit on the tiny side, but we still split it between the kids. Once again, fries were fantastic and there was more than enough to share. ++++ Banana-Rama Smoothie - Strawberry, banana goodness. Could definitely tell this was not artificial from the "true" flavor of the smoothie. It wasn't super sweet. + Service was very good throughout the evening. ++++ Food came out shockingly fast and fresh. ++++ Our waiter was friendly, on point and came by to check on us a few times. + Plenty of space inside of the restaurant, including an outdoor-indoor tent that is heated. + Decor was modern and contemporary, very clean inside. + Ambiance for dinner was dark and intimate, which caught me off guard because I thought it would be more casual, but perfect for group gatherings still and casual dine-ins. + PLENTY of parking in the large lot in front and to the side of the restaurant, which is shared within a little strip mall. + They take reservations online. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada! MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Dined from 5:45 - 7:15 PM on a Friday and most of the evening crowd was older and there weren't many families with kids. There were maybe 2-3 families with kids, but they left by 6:15 PM. Most of the groups were groups of 4, seemingly catching up during a nice meal. CONCLUSION -------------------- = I was pleasantly surprised by the experience we had here. I figured this would be a super casual Friday after work/school dinner with the fam, but this turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in North Jersey in a while. Food, service and ambiance here was excellent. Wish they had .5 stars on Yelp because Saddle River Cafe is as close to perfection as it can get at 4.5 stars!
