Visited Rey Sol Coffee today and I loveeeeeee omg it's so beautiful in there. Also, the food was great. I had the avocado toast and I added extra egg white for more protein. It was yummy. The pickle onions gave it a great touch. I had the cold brew coffee with vanilla cold foam no extra sugars added and it was yummy My partner had the tuna wrap and the caramel macchiato. She loves both. The tuna maybe lacked a little flavor but she said it was great either way we just added some salt The place is very cute and aesthetic. I've tried coming here for a few times but never worked out because it's usually hard to get a table. They have a small seating sections. This place is an order at the counter and first comes first serve seating. It is very casual Ordered the passion fruit lemonade and it was really good. The Iced Latte was good as well. Went in for the first time, service was good despite them not having one of the menu items I wanted. Hot chai was good I felt that it was the perfect amount of chai. Burrata Toast was good although had way too much pesto which I'm sure you could ask to accommodate. The toast was also way too hard but maybe something that can also be advised to toast less. The decor and atmosphere in this place was super vibey! The coffee art on my latte and the way the avocado toast was laid out on the plate were both really cute too, but overall this place is eh. The toast was a bit stale and I didn't really appreciate that the only food menu they seemed to have was the one menu up by where customers order despite there being 7-8 tables where people were sitting. The empanada was Colombian style, but I was disappointed it didn't come with a sauce. It also wasn't extremely flavorful. One of my favorite coffee spots in Ridgewood. Been here a few times to get food or just grab a drink. I like that they have outdoor seating so i can bring the dog, grab a drink and sit outside and enjoy it. They really have an elevated menu with special little garnishes, ice cubes and things that make the drinks special. The other day i tried their specialty lemonade which has cinnamon in it, they actually sell the mix there so you can make it at home. They grind the beans fresh for coffee in a big fancy machine right in front of you inside the sitting area of the shop - its super cool to see. Service is always quick although its a small shop and does get crowded at times. Good local spot though. read more

$14 specialty s'mores latte... sure, I'll try it. The sign said "limited quantity daily" so I'm thinking homemade marshmallows, some sort of limited edition something.... False. What I got was a $14 small cappuccino with no flavor at all, and a store bought marshmallow on the side with a hint of blow torch char. They pass it through a smoke box for some pomp and circumstance, but all in all, it was $10 too much for a bad coffee. Could I assume it was a fluke? Maybe... except for the sign that loosely translates to "many people have this issue and we don't care". Absolutely not worth the hype with so many other amazing shops in town. read more

Been wanting to go here for years and finally got the opportunity! It was very busy on the weekend and the place does not offer a lot of seating or call/online reservations so just be mindful of that or check in and make a reservation in person for a table first and come back later. Their iced coffee is something I highly recommend. I added dulce de leche syrup for flavour. The blend was very delicious and the iced bear was a cute touch Cosmo and Wanda was good but you need to drink it fast otherwise it'll just turn into matcha milk. I would rather get iced lattes here. The avocado toast was really good especially with the poached egg. I tried their beef empanadas and pan de bollo and both were very delicious. If you want to make the trip, you should. It's a cute town and even on a Sunday we found other things to do. read more

Amazing spot. They're very good at what they do. A Colombian place with delicious food and great coffee. They can even personalize coffee grounds to go, and the bags include the name of the farmer who harvested it in Colombia a really special touch. The service is great too, even what they serve it on is very nice and very well thought out. The food is excellent, and the vibes are awesome. It's a cozy little place filled with unique Colombian cultural foods that make it stand out. I would definitely recommend checking it out. read more

I stopped by here post workout to check the place out . A friend of mine recommended it to me so I figured why not give it a try ? It is a very cute spacious cafe with a trendy vibrant vibe. They have a few seats outside but majority of seating is inside . The women working the front are friendly they recommended I get a lavender coffee with honey. It was delicious they had other things such as breakfast food and dessert on the menu as well but I stuck with coffee and i highly recommend this spot and will be coming back to try some of the food as well ! read more

Revisited Rey Sol and was finally able to try to sit indoors. Inside was cute and cozy but could get really busy. Service was quick though and the staff who assisted us that early morning weekend was a delight. For the food, we started off with their arepa with additional mozz and it was a nice appetizer. I got their matcha latte which was good and ordered their burrata salad. I was disappointed that it came in a to-go container though as I wouldve preferred eating from a plate since we were dining in. In fairness the burrata with balsamic was delicious and so was the pesto chicken i added. Luckily the hubster's order of chorizo sandwich was delicious too and it kinda distracted me from that to-go container. Although I enjoyed my first visit better compared to this second one, I may still come back and try other things off the menu. And perhaps I might have to stick to their toasts and sandwiches. read more

Rey Sol is a must visit when in Ridgewood. I love going for their quality coffees and breakfast items. My usual order is the Cortado coffee which comes with an adorable coffee bear ice cube. The pan de bono is excellent. I find myself ordering more than one to take home. Not pictured, but delicious, is the avocado toast. The setup is adorable with lots of pops of color. I was around the area and decided to stop by this place for a quick break. Finding parking is quite easy, although it's street parking. As I entered, I see that they're quite busy. So I ended up seating at the bar stool by the window (not bad, still comfy) the cashier recommended me to try their campesino latte and I ordered the wafflebono as well. Their coffee is quite good, you can really taste it and the campesino flavor is a nice compliment to the latte. The teddy bear ice made out of coffee is a cute and smart idea! Their wafflebono is quite pricey in my opinion ($13) (because I ordered a wafflebono from another coffee shop and it was $10, same concept, this one just have extra jam on it) other than the price, I really liked the wafflebono! I really love the vibe of this place, the decorations are so cute and perfect for catching up with friends or getting your work done. What kind of threw me off a little bit is the customer service. Good coffee and cute little cafe. A bit overpriced imo but that's honestly fine if we didn't have a weird experience with the staff. Went in a group of 6 and waited our turn to put 2 tables together because we all got food and a drink. We were waiting for about 15 minutes once we all got what we ordered and started it eat. About 5 minutes later a waitress came up to us telling us the table was reserved and we needed to leave within the next ten minutes. This was weird because there were multiple tables who have been there longer than us and some who had even finished eating. There was sign saying you can only sit for an hour which was completely understandable. We all felt their actions were rude and frankly a cafe with few seating options should not allow reservations. We ended up leaving after 10 minutes when we were all done eating but I thought this interaction was ridiculous. But on a better note, someone let us hold their puppy! read more

So glad I finally got to check out Rey Sol! My sister and I visited on a Friday afternoon, and found it busier than expected. We went up to order at the counter and each got an Iced Campesino and Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast. The interior was super cute with neon signage, plants, floral wall art, etc. They had some (dog friendly) outdoor seating, so we chose a table out front. The Iced Campesino was so tasty and the teddy bear coffee ice cubes were adorable. We both got a small, which was plenty of coffee, but they also had a 20 oz large option. The presentation of the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast was also beautiful, with a tiny flower on top and dots of balsamic on the large plate. I got eggs Benedict on the pan de sol which was really good- however I don't eat prosciutto and this was an off the menu item so I added guacamole instead. I'm caffeine sensitive but love the taste of coffee so I thought this may be the reason it was strong.
