    Avocado Toast
    Kate B.

The decor and atmosphere in this place was super vibey! The coffee art on my latte and the way the avocado toast was laid out on the plate were both really cute too, but overall this place is eh. The toast was a bit stale and I didn't really appreciate that the only food menu they seemed to have was the one menu up by where customers order despite there being 7-8 tables where people were sitting. There's another Rey Sol in Morristown I might try, but as far as this location I don't think I'll be back!

Colombian coffee at its best! Great ambiance, delicious Pan de Bono, very friendly staff - will come again for sure!

Cute little coffee shop in Ridgewood with street parking. Lots of yummy treats, a few savory items and of course...coffee and tea. I got an iced Americano and a beef empanada. The empanada was Colombian style, but I was disappointed it didn't come with a sauce. It also wasn't extremely flavorful. My drink was good, but I didn't see any coffee infused ice cubes, as they advertise. Overall nice shop to sit in or for grab and go.

Very good coffee and chocolate chip muffin as truly excellent. Very small interior. Service was friendly. We went out on a limb to get the $14 s'mores latte that came in a smoke chamber but really wasn't worth the $14. Will be back though for everything else

Translation : "we know it's bad, we just don't care"

$14 specialty s'mores latte... sure, I'll try it. The sign said "limited quantity daily" so I'm thinking homemade marshmallows, some sort of limited edition something.... False. What I got was a $14 small cappuccino with no flavor at all, and a store bought marshmallow on the side with a hint of blow torch char. They pass it through a smoke box for some pomp and circumstance, but all in all, it was $10 too much for a bad coffee. Could I assume it was a fluke? Maybe... except for the sign that loosely translates to "many people have this issue and we don't care". Absolutely not worth the hype with so many other amazing shops in town.

I door dashed it and this muffin was so FRESH! Love how crispy the muffin was on the outside while the inside was super goey. I loved the cream inside as well, super generous meanwhile people often skimp out on this.

Been wanting to go here for years and finally got the opportunity! It was very busy on the weekend and the place does not offer a lot of seating or call/online reservations so just be mindful of that or check in and make a reservation in person for a table first and come back later. Their iced coffee is something I highly recommend. I added dulce de leche syrup for flavour. The blend was very delicious and the iced bear was a cute touch Cosmo and Wanda was good but you need to drink it fast otherwise it'll just turn into matcha milk. I would rather get iced lattes here. The avocado toast was really good especially with the poached egg. I tried their beef empanadas and pan de bollo and both were very delicious. If you want to make the trip, you should. It's a cute town and even on a Sunday we found other things to do.

    Pan de Bono

Stopped by for breakfast. The pan de bono was okay its was more grainy than I like. The egg cheese croissant was basic, no special flavor to it besides the piece of snowflake toothpick for decor. The hot chocolate with cacao was very good this is what I would go back for. The service was quick. The ambiance was very cute and small but lots of decor and pretty wall.

I stopped by here post workout to check the place out . A friend of mine recommended it to me so I figured why not give it a try ? It is a very cute spacious cafe with a trendy vibrant vibe. They have a few seats outside but majority of seating is inside . The women working the front are friendly they recommended I get a lavender coffee with honey. It was delicious they had other things such as breakfast food and dessert on the menu as well but I stuck with coffee and i highly recommend this spot and will be coming back to try some of the food as well !

    Cortado and Pan de Bono

Rey Sol is a must visit when in Ridgewood. I love going for their quality coffees and breakfast items. My usual order is the Cortado coffee which comes with an adorable coffee bear ice cube. The pan de bono is excellent. I find myself ordering more than one to take home. Not pictured, but delicious, is the avocado toast. The setup is adorable with lots of pops of color. There is available seating, but the weekends can become packed. The staff is helpful and friendly. Consider visiting Rey Sol for your next coffee fix!

Went to try to get some work done but it was a bit busy and the only spot available was by the window. The space was a bit too small to do work but I ended up staying until a table was available. They serve pastries, sandwiches and cute drinks. Honestly, I was influenced by the teddy bear ice shape and the ice is made of espresso so the latte wasn't at any point watered down. Would return, especially since Ridgewood is such a cute little town!

Revisited Rey Sol and was finally able to try to sit indoors. Inside was cute and cozy but could get really busy. Service was quick though and the staff who assisted us that early morning weekend was a delight. For the food, we started off with their arepa with additional mozz and it was a nice appetizer. I got their matcha latte which was good and ordered their burrata salad. I was disappointed that it came in a to-go container though as I wouldve preferred eating from a plate since we were dining in. In fairness the burrata with balsamic was delicious and so was the pesto chicken i added. Luckily the hubster's order of chorizo sandwich was delicious too and it kinda distracted me from that to-go container. Although I enjoyed my first visit better compared to this second one, I may still come back and try other things off the menu. And perhaps I might have to stick to their toasts and sandwiches.

Highly suggest skipping it here. Burnt coffee, not helpful staff and way too overpriced. Head to Haus coffee instead.

It's a small space with just a few tables. Since we didn't live in the area we opted to sit and eat. While we waited several people came into get takeout or pickup. There was just the chef and the server. Both were nice and helpful. We ordered the Korean BBQ Ribs and the Southern Ribs. Hubby liked the Korean and I preferred the Southern. But both were good, I just found the Southern saucier and more tender. The NYC XXX Bacon was amazing!!! Love love love so juicy and tender with a touch of spicy. Korean Slaw was another fav that we ordered an extra to take home. Collard Greens were not bad, a little spicy. Cornbread was way too dry... hubby was fine with it. We enjoyed our meal very much. Will come back to try other items.

They are trying to figure out a new donut supplier, so it'll be off for a while. However, the owner was heading out for an errand, and offered to buy doughnuts ad-hoc if I still wanted the chonut and I took him up on it! What service. Chonut: he got a Paris Baguette maple donut, which was a good level of sweetness. It wasn't warmed up at all and the bottom donut got really soggy, so I wonder how it would compare to their normal donut. I loved the combination of sweetness and savory - I'd get this again to see what a full potential donut sandwich could look like. Cholander Fries: we ordered this while waiting, and a solid appetizer with lots of flavors. We got the BBQ Sampler box, and they allowed us to replace the 2 ribs with pork belly instead. The pork belly was the standout - it's both very crispy and fatty. They also gave us a gochujang glaze sauce because they said it paired well with the pork belly, and it did! The brisket was good too and certainly benefited from the sauces available, as well as the pork shoulder. I thought the Mac and cheese was standard but the kimchi slaw wasn't refreshing although interesting.

As you indulge, remember to stretch the cheese as long and as far as you can - shoot for the moon! You won't go wrong with whichever style burger you choose. The black & bleu was piled with bleu cheese crumbles. You won't see the patty on the cali burger, but don't be deceived because it's packed with avocado, bacon and other flavorful toppings. You'll definitely need two hands to devour these bad boys! French fries are always the number one backbone to any hamburger plate. I explored the original fries, and for a small upcharge , I also tried the sweet potato fries. It was sweet variation from the common potato. To finish off the meal, I slurped a mint chocolate milkshake. Unlike the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, this fourth flavor is not available all year round. The shake has a perfect thickness and texture. And the dessert drink toppings are simple, but satisfying. And if you aren't in the mood for typical burger and fries, the diverse menu also offers breakfast, Greek, and vegan options. I did order a couple of rice bowls, but somehow they were not included, and I don't think I was charged for them so since they would've been for next week, I'm not going to worry about it.. We definitely have enough food for leftovers. I particularly love the eggplant Parmesan because it is thin and cheesy and delicious. We both both enjoyed the crispy fried shrimp, which was everything fried shrimp should be, crispy on the outside and sweet on the inside. The shrimp franchise was a nice compliment With butter and wine taste. Honestly, this is a wonderful dinner to take home. We always get enough food for extra because leftovers are also . Frank is always wonderful with getting the orders. The staff are always polite and professional. We also got some grandma's cookies, that if you're Italian, you know the little cookies with the white icing and the sprinkles. My grandmother used to make them so I really enjoyed them. We have ordered from them before, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, and some other food. Also, if you get the chance, try their sausage and peppers because the sausage is absolutely delicious once again another wonderful meal. I love cooking, but I also love the chance to just sit back, eat delicious food and not touch a frying pan or baking dish. By the way, I could make eggplant Parmesan if I want to, but couldn't read the shrimp dishes so good so my thought is why due to work and buy all those little ingredients that make it special when I can go to Best Of Everything if you never have you do have to try them.
