Super easy and quick place to get your keys copied. Came here on a Tuesday afternoon and got two copies of my two house keys for $12 in total. The employee at the counter was helpful and friendly, letting me know that I didn't even need to take the keys off my key ring. He took 2 min max to copy both keys and I was soon out the door! They give you your keys on a key ring, which is convenient. Rex also sells all sorts of door locks, combination locks, keychains, bottle opener key rings, etc. Heads up, they have a sign that says that if your key says "DO NOT DUPLICATE" and you're trying to get it copied, they aren't able to do so unless you bring a note of authorization on official letterhead. read more

So for all of my lock and key needs, I always come to Rex Key instead. They get the job done right in no time. Key copies are done on the spot with great conversation (and they carry hard to find key blanks). If I have to call out one of their employees to drill out a lock on-site, they come with expertise and familiarity with our locks so they can get the job done fast. I trust what they're doing. I've used Rex Key a number of times as the authorized locksmith for my HOA building's Primus security keys and they've always been reliable and professional. They even have on-call emergency service on the weekends which I've used and the lady who answers the phone is always really responsive and knows how to direct any type of problem. I wanted to write this review because I had yet another tricky lock problem today that they were able to come through for me on. I have a locking Thule cargo box on my van and unfortunately broke my only flimsy Thule key off inside the Thule lock making the carrier non-operational. After much Googling I found a lot of horror stories about this happening a lot (Thule get your act together and make decently thick keys for your locking carriers) and many having to resort to drilling the lock cylinder out to replace it. After ordering and waiting for new replacement lock cylinder and a "release key" directly from Thule I called up Rex Key who recommended that I just swing by with the carrier. They immediately went to work using tiny tools to pry the key fragment out of the lock while I waited. It ended up being quite tricky with the lock pins not letting go of the key fragment but the stubbornness of the job just seemed to motivate them even more. I was very grateful that they would dedicate so much time without any kind of appointment. They managed to fish the broken key out of the lock, make new useable duplicates of the Thule key just by the reference number on the old broken key, and then oil everything up like new. The thing locks and operates now smoother than I have ever seen it and I didn't even need the new Thule cylinder or release key I had ordered online, they are just backups now. I really appreciated the amount of time they spent on this for me and they charged a lot less then what I was expecting for the time. If you have any kind of locking cargo carrier, rack mount, bike rack, etc, especially made by Thule, treat that key delicately and keep the lock well lubricated. If the key breaks off in the lock as it has done for so many others (I still curse your name, Thule of Sweden, however you say your name), take it to Rex, they'll sort it out for you! Geoff really saved our collective a**! So, we recently bought a used 2009 Toyota Camry. It had one working key and one that had been mummified by scotch tape. After peeling away the tape, I discovered to my delight that the circuit board inside was still working! I ordered a replacement from a website, and when it arrived, all we needed to do was get the blank blade cut. Or so we thought! Turns out, as we were telling this story, Geoff recognized that the new fob would NOT work. Why? Well, each fob has a transmitter that tells the car that the true key is present. Without that, the Camry would not have started, and I would have had what amounts to a Valet Key. Geoff swapped out the unregistered fob transmitter for the old one, and the Camry started right up! We had been having trouble with the lock to our front door. It became extremely difficult to get the door to open after turning the key in the lock. A few times I was worried that I would not be able to get into my house. I called another locksmith to come out to the house. When they arrived, they couldn't identify the problem and wasn't listening to me when I explained how difficult it was to open the door. He left without any resolution. These guys are the best in the business. I always get nervous when I go to Home Depot or ACE Hardware to copy keys because they often do a sloppy job or don't have the key blank. I've had issues in the past where the copy didn't work at all or I had to jiggle the key for it to work. I've never had this issue at Rex Key.
