Trask is a one-man bicycle repair heaven. :- ) Responsive--it took him a couple of visits and he always came when he said he would, and called in advance to let me know he was on his way. Soooo experienced (he's been fine-tuning bicycles since 1994)--he can fix ANY bike (mine was a stationary one, NOT Peloton, which he really took apart and put back together!). He comes RIGHT to your house (even in the time of COVID, when he was completely masked up). And his prices are PHENOMENALLY low. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give him a 15. Trask is awesome! I'd been looking for a mobile bike service on the Eastside, but couldn't find one. I noticed the reviews for Trask Fredrickson (Revolution Bikes) and decided to call. He drove all the way to Redmond/Bellevue from N. Seattle to pick up my bike on a weeknight and returned it three days later, fixed up and ready to ride! In total, he charged $75. It shifts much better now, and he replace the plastic cover over the chain, which had cracked. GREAT service, and I would not hesitate to utilize their services again. I didn't have much experience at this shop, but what little I had was not that great. I went in to get a small product for a friend in NY who asked me as it was not sold at any shops near her. I called first and asked and they told me, "Yes, we carry those" but were not sure if they had the specific one I wanted. I went ahead and made the trip....looked around the store and found after asking somebody that they didn't have any in stock at the moment. It would have been nice if the person on phone had even checked that much before telling me he had them. Then he gave me a card and asked me to email him so he could order the ones I wanted next time he placed orders. I took card and emailed him that same day or the next. I never got a response, so I waited about a month and emailed him to ask if they had ever come in. Never got a response. Emailed again about 2 weeks later. Still never got a response. Don't think I'll be back. I found them at the only other bike shop in the area that carried them. read more

Trask was more than amazing. He's an engineer (literally) who could almost tell exactly what services are needed with my bikes as soon as he did some field inspections. $200 bikes feel like $1000 bikes after he tuned them. Prices are great, and I'll likely revisit this business once I need more bicycle maintenance services. read more

This rating is for bicycles, though they do snowboards also. Three stars is a Yelp rating of "A-OK", and this place is not quite that. It's close, but not quite. It's more of a "Meh. I've experienced better", but two stars seems too low, so I give them a benefit-of-the-doubt three stars. They currently charge $15 per quarter hour, which is reasonable. There is usually only one staff person available and service is first-come-first-served. You can look at the 20 or so bikes on display or play foosball while you wait. There's a number of shops south of there you can walk to if the wait is long (it usually is not). The staff are helpful and nice and friendly, once you get their attention (usually they're servicing a bike or talking on the phone). There is not much "hey, I'll be with you in a moment" recognition, and the phone is more important than customers in the store. There certainly is no "do you need some chain oil or tire levers" add-on sales push. They seem to expect you to know why you're there and what you need. There is no arrogance in the air, which is nice. This is not a race pro shop and there's nothing fancy about it. There is no small talk or salesmanship either. Fixing bikes is their gig, and they happen to sell bikes and parts too. If you know what you want, and it's a typical part or service, they likely have it or can do it for a good price. If you don't know what you want, you can ask and not feel put down. But you gotta ask or they'll ignore you. read more

I checked around all my local bike shops in Bothell/Woodinville area and decided to go with Revolution Cycles to get both my Cannondale Supersix and my Specialized Tarmac road bikes serviced. Trask was top notch and went out of his way to accommodate me during a very busy time. He was professional, efficient and did an excellent, thorough job. His prices were very reasonable (25-30% less than most quotes I received) and he provided add-on services as requested for nominal cost (replaced worn cables, handlebar re-taped etc). Trask was great and walked me through all the services he performed and made sure every detail was inspected and covered. Without question I recommend Trask and Revolution Cycles. I have now found my new "go to" for servicing my bikes. Thank you very much Trask! I would give you six stars if they would allow it. read more

You have a decision to make as you consider your baby blue Chuck Taylors which are flatteringly attached to your unflatteringly spread eagle legs, as you have long since given up stopping your pedals from their near supersonic rotation: do you aim for the stopped cars knowing certain concussion and bone crushing awaits or do you swerve into oncoming traffic risking death for an ambulatory future? Those naked handlebars, shining as brightly as your white knuckles in the Seattle summer sun, hold no answers, no breaks, and no shifters. Your flat pedals, if they have even managed to stay attached to your cranks at this RMP, no help in keeping your feet anchored. You close your eyes, and remember your friend's last suggestion before you purchased this bike: "Dude, you should totally check with Revolution Cycles before you buy this eff'er. They'll set you up with something that's hip and safe, instead of this death trap. At least let Trask, the owner, check out this bike before you do anything stupid." "Anything stupid," you repeat under your breath as you run the red light at the bottom of the hill, fly through the intersection, and begin to loose speed. "I'll check them out right after I get out of jail for killing that other bike guy. He's so fired." [No, really, I love this place. Revolution Cycles fixed up my custom-built bike when I was too frustrated to do the work myself. Their prices were estimated well and reasonable. They worked with my strange home-built bike and didn't make me feel bad for not wanting to do some of the simple work myself. I'll be going back exclusively... these guys are fantastic.] read more

Honest people... if you don't know much about bikes they tell you what work needs (and does not need) to be done. When I took mine in for a tune up the owner asked some questions, then recommended the CHEAPEST tune-up package. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Prices are reasonable, and the wait time is great. Gregg's is always backed up (esp. summer), revolutions has it done in like a minute... or a day, depending. Had my bike tuned up here last week. Very courteous and friendly. Had a special for February and the price was very reasonable. Bike was finished right on time and that was important to me. Have not had much of a chance to ride, so I can't comment on the work done, as yet. read more

My rear tire's tube had somehow popped while I was riding, and I took in the tire and they fixed it (new tube and labor) for ten bucks. Great deal! They were friendly and helpful, and I will definitely go back for more! read more

Excellent work! I've been placed my cycle in the balcony (outdoor) at my friend's apartment for almost a year since I was abroad. The weather in Seattle has tortured it heavily. Finally I decided to bring it back and had it repaired. At the first place I went to the shop where I bought it. They told me that I had to take it back, wait for two weeks and PUSH the cycle back to them for the scheduled repair. Although the price was tolerable, the waiting seemed frustrating. Then I googled and found Revolution Cycles. The free pick-up and delivery was so attractive. I called him at 4:30pm and he arrived at around 5:40pm. The price was very reasonable (replacement for the chain+tune-up+clean+labor=$85). I checked with other few shops and their prices were just sky high (tune-up for $270 in one place, robber). Most amazingly, he finished and delivered it back at 9:50pm! The rusted chain was changed into a brand new one and other weather-beaten parts were all cleaned and polished well. My girlfriend ran the test ride twice and everything worked smoothly. NO MORE WAITING FOR BUS! read more

Great, small shop. Like the comfortable vibe, not at all pretentious like some places I have been to. My fiance and I know next to nothing about bike repair, but he has had to start riding to work at 2:00 a.m. since the buses don't run early enough for him to get to his job as a baker. One early morning, total catastrophe occurred (pieces fell off the derailleur on his ride in) but we took the bike in that night and he fixed it for us in under 30 minutes, and less than $40, including a new bike light and quick tune-up.
