I recently had a water leak in my kitchen, bathroom and closet and needless to say I was overwhelmed when I heard I had to "pack-out" everything on the 1st floor of my home . Armando and crew showed up earlier than expected(that was fine with me because it was a 100 degree day) they arrived with more than enough boxes,paper and blankets to protect 3 glass tables and other valuables They were professional and worked as a unit to pack up everything in my living room and kitchen including taking out the refrigerator and stove . I am enthusiastically writing a review for Emergency Packing Service and their outstanding field representative Mario. We recently suffered water damage in our kitchen and the kitchen tile must be removed and all appliances removed from the kitchen to the garage. Mario and his outstanding crew should great empathy for our appliances and treated them as they were their own. The appliances are bubble wrapped in the garage awaiting completion of the kitchen remodel . When the remodel is complete Mario will bring the crew back and reinstall all the appliances back to our new kitchen. Getting to know Mario was a source of great relief for our family and we could not recommend his services any higher than the 10 that I am giving them. read more

I write this review with a heavy heart because I believe all companies deserve a second chance to make things right if there has been an issue. However, after almost 1 year of interacting with RestoPlus, the issues have only worsened. I and several of my neighbors suffered severe water damage from Hurricane Hillary last year and RestoPlus was quickly on site soliciting services. In retrospect, I was under a lot of stress from just having lost my home and I should have taken time to look into this company and ask more questions. The owner Dara was very nice and reassuring. He told me that moving me out, storage for 1 year, and moving me back in would all be included. He did not give me a price...I should have pushed...but he said he would work with my insurance and that his company NEVER "goes after" the home owners. He did, however, ask me how much homeowners insurance I had for belongings (I should not have told him). Long story short. They sent an invoice to my insurance company for close to $55,000, yes that is 55K. I had never heard of such a thing. Why would anyone pay 55K to move and store belongings instead of just buying all new stuff?? Also, as a reference, I have a 930sq ft apartment with only 1 bed/bath so I do not have that much stuff. I quickly called Dara and he told me not to worry that this is how it works with insurance companies. He said Businesses have to high ball insurance in order to get paid. Ultimately, Resto and my insurance agreed on a price together and Resto was paid. This should have been the end of it. But for the last several months, they have emailed me and called me multiple times telling me I have a balance. I have spoken to multiple people at Resto and none of them seem to know what is going on. I was even told at one point from one of them that i should sue the roofers (roofers were working on the building at the time of the storm and did not protect the roof from water intrusion) in order to be able to pay Resto. I finally thought I had everything cleared up in March 2024 and was given a zero balance due invoice. But today I got a call telling me that I have a balance of $25,000 for storage costs. My year is up this month and my apartment is finally almost completely repaired (the entire apartment had to be demolished and rebuilt) so I thought they were calling me to explain I would need to pay storage moving forward if I didn't move out my stuff. Instead, they told me that I owe Resto storage costs from September 2023 to Aug 2024. The person I spoke to Jenny couldn't even break down the costs for me. She couldn't tell me the monthly storage rate until I pressed. She finally said it costs $767.50/month. I explained if you multiply $767.50 by 11, that comes to $8,442.50. She then said "oh no that's not what I meant, I meant it costs about $2,000/month." Another amount I find hard to believe. Every business needs to make money and is driven by profit, of course. But this company is on a level that is fraudulent. They appear to just throw out numbers and see how much they can get. There is no logic or business ethics here. I told them that I am not paying anything and I asked for my storage key so I can assume it over as I do not trust them. But, I called the storage facility and was told my stuff is not there anymore. They told me it was taken out in April 2024. I don't know where my belongings are and I'm waiting for Resto to call me back. My neighbors had negative experiences with Resto as well, and one reported them to the business bureau. I will be reporting them too. If you're reading this to decide if you should hire them or not, please be careful. I'm not saying you will have the same experience as i did. I acknowledge my circumstances were very unique. But what I can say is that this company does not operate with any sort of ethical or moral compass and will look for any possible way to get more money from you and wear you down until you give in. And if you're in a vulnerable position and need emergency moving services, do not use Resto. I think the majority of their profits come from situations like these where they prey on those in a desperate state. Take your time to breathe and look at multiple companies. read more

Mario, Brayan, and Diego did an outstanding job moving me back home and they will do the same for you! Their level of hard work and commitment is commendable. I did not need to do anything because they knew exactly where things belonged from pics from company and where I lived. Next, to ensure all my items in kitchen were unpacked, they stayed late on a Friday night to make sure all my boxes were done. That was such a touching action that I will never forget especially because it is not typical. Thank you Mario for making that happen and you will always be remembered. In addition, they cared for my stuff as if it was their own, very carefully. Their character was beyond my belief: professional, honest, intelligent, helpful, caring, kind, supportive, and ensured moving back home was going to be an easy process for me. It definitely was one of the best crews I have ever used to move and they made it so easy!!!! Finally, they communicated exceptionally well, and lessen the stress from moving back home. From the first phone call, to the wave goodbye after the guys loaded up all of our belongings, they were top notch. Marissa was always attentive, never left me hanging and continued to keep me in the loop on the progress of this project. Then when Mario and his crew showed up today, I could not have handpicked a better set of guys to pack up our things and take them to a temporary warehouse while the work is being done, I'm afraid Mario's crew members names slipped by me but PLEASE, whoever these guys report to needs to know you are extremely well represented by these men. Only good thing about this company is the movers. They Handel your items with care and include you every step of the way to assure you are comfortable, your items are not tossed around and broken and Mario who was lead man on my project was very professional . Outside of that way overpriced for plan old moving services wasnt told restoration services like cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing my furniture would be an additional charge even though that's why they were hired to began with, shouldn't have gone on the name only . Next time will research a company that does provide restoration services as a reason for taking on your project. Otherwise grab a few friends and rent a moving van ! I just came out of the hospital and am confined to a wheelchair for the next few months. So when the Resto Plus Contents team under the direction of Jesse Garcia and David D. arrived to return my belongings which I hadn't seen for six weeks, I had some extra needs I was hoping could be addressed when it came to placing things in a manner that would make it easier to reach things and keep open space clear for my maneuvering around in my chair. It was a team of 5 and they brought all my things without a hint of damage on them (the way they'd packed them was very attentive to protecting the items). They put all my kitchen things (plates, cutlery, the dish rack, my cookbooks), exactly as I wanted them, extremely neatly. I was quite impressed because it was a woman who had packed my kitchen things out but these guys were experts at making my kitchen supplied and accessible, everything clean and ready for use. David D. made an especial effort helping me set up my computers again, with which I earn my living, and although I was quite particular about having all the wires "just so" (so I can access them easily) he listened closely and worked with me to get everything just right. And then because I can't do it now that I'm wheelchair bound they did a final vacuuming of my rug for me and left my living space looking and feeling way better than it did when these things had been packed out. Jesse Garcia and David D's superlative team included Johnny B., Victor R. and Armando P. These friendly, capable people helped make my home, which I had just returned to from the hospital, a work and living space that meets all of my needs. And they did it all with a smile! read more
