I hired EDI to move a small one bedroom apartment for today. I told them I needed 4 wardrobe boxes. They confirmed. But they showed up without the wardrobe boxes. I asked them to either bring wardrobe boxes to finish the move or to provide a small discount. The owner, George, refused. He said he had already given me a discount, which was not true. He then said that I either have to pay full price or he would instruct his guys to unload the truck and send his guys home. So they unloaded the truck and now I have to find a replacement. The workers were very nice and polite. I even tipped them, but I would never recommend George or EDI. In response to George's comment: First, I would appreciate it if you would edit your post and remove my city. It's not appropriate to post where I live. Second, your truck did not have racks inside. Your workers only offered two options: (1) lay my clothing down inside a cardboard box, or (2) to rig a rope from one end of the truck to the next and let my clothing hang on the rope. Nobody mentioned a speed pack, and I don't know what that is. Third, I did not insist on a discount. My first request was that you have somebody drive down and deliver the wardrobe boxes, or at least the missing pieces. You refused. I then asked for a small discount because it was going to take time and money in order for me to finish moving the rest of the items that were supposed to go inside the wardrobe boxes. Finally, it's misleading to claim that you offered me a discounted price. $125 was never mentioned. It's not listed on your website and it's not mentioned in your craigslist ad. Your first and only quote was $110. read more

first move with them was great no problems. 2nd move terrible experience and they damaged my property and will not answer my calls or give me their insurance info to file a claim. they said they had a new guy who was training and thats why my furniture and screen door was damage. its been 5 months and george the owner wont do anything to help or retuen calls. the other guy jt came to my house to look at stuff but didnt seem well and keeps saying hell come over to fix things but then never shows up. so sad bc i had such a good experience the 1st time. now i have a couch that is broken and a screen door that is scratched amd damaged. if anyone knows an attorney or how to file an insurance claim please let me know. george is very unprofessional if something goes wrong or he has to fix something dont go here for your move!!!!! read more

Moving companies are one of those businesses that run the full spectrum that you not only never know what you're going to get but oftentimes price does not equate quality (I'll never forget workers from one of the largest brands stealing my prized baseball card collection). So, when I come across a moving company that is both reasonably priced and top notched, I'm both impressed and appreciative. Where do i begin. I spoke to a representative a month before moving asking how soon to book. Representative told me they do same day moves all the time not to worry. I spoke to the representative a couple more times to follow up to make sure we were good to move August 1st. Again no problem, spoke to him again the 29th and all of a sudden it became "we cant move you on the Saturday the 1st but we can move you sunday the 2nd". Out of options last minute i agreed to it. Only to get a call back Thursday saying they cant do it because the trucks are going into service. Way to cancel last minute. I used these guys twice, once moving into and then out of an apartment. The first time they did a good job. 2 guys / 6 hours finished everything. The second time was a train wreck from the very beginning. I specifically asked for extra blankets. 20 minutes into wrapping my furniture they realized they did not bring enough blankets. 90 minutes into the job they have to unwrap some of my furniture to get the blankets for the rest of my furniture. So in addition to not having all of my furniture fully protected I have to pay for the extra time to have them wrap and unwrap some of my stuff. The workers clearly understood they were getting paid by the hour and intended to make a day out of the job no matter what. For this second move I had them bring 3 workers but it took them 8 hours. Yes you read that right. This went from a 12 man hour job to a 24 man hour job with the exact same furniture and a shorter travel trip. read more
