I had the sewer back up into my home and flooded a big part of the first floor. This house is a rental. It was stressful to deal with this problem 3000 miles away. The world restoration staff were very helpful and cordial and to the point. They open a appointment as soon as possible, identified the problem and the next day all was taken care off: they removed the wet wall and baseboards, they had to remove a bathroom cabinet too. They place the fans and covered the working area perfectly, They kept me informed step by step about the drying process. I was very thankful for the diligence and attentiveness to what needed to be done. I was very happy with their job and I feel they went out of their way to make sure they were providing a good service, communicating by email and phone. These guys truly did a fantastic job on my house! They always say no job too big. But what about no job too small? Well, that was our situation. Our home's 2nd floor furnace/forced air unit had a pretty good leak. There ended up being a puddle of water within the framing and subfloor under the unit. But the issue came when the water found its way into our guest bedroom closet which had drywall and plush carpeting. This closest was only 20 square feet. So it wasn't a huge restoration. But that didn't stop them from not giving us the best service possible. Jim and his crew were super professional from the time I made the initial call to the moment I received a follow up email thanking me for choosing their services. I was very hesitant to have repairs done during COVID and with a toddler running around. These guys were very professional, clean and neat! We had a demo done - dry wall removal and they set up a work area that kept everything away and secluded during the demolition process (see photo attachment). They cleaned up very nicely and even mopped my floor at the end. I have never had such clean work done. I usually have to do some cleaning of my own after the work is done. I also called the supervisors to rave about what a well done job these guys did. They made sure to even put all the baby-proof outlet covers back. I can't recommend these guys enough. For one, their communication is absolutely on point. I dealt with at least 3 other companies and it was like pulling teeth just trying to get a quote, and many never even got back to me after several follow-up attempts. Not to mention they were the only ones who really seemed like they knew what they were talking about. I would especially recommend these guys if insurance won't cover you - dealing with the insurance oriented companies is a bit out of their wheelhouse and you'll navigate a very tangled web trying to get any type of service from them. World Restoration was able to come out to survey the water damage I had due to a leaky fridge hose that, unbeknownst to me, was leaking under my kitchen floorboards for quite some time, causing mold and mushrooms to spawn, and they got a quote out to me that very same day. Very professional from beginning to end, and since I was working from home at the same time, I really appreciated Keith's extremely accurate time estimates as to when they would arrive so that I could make sure I was available to grab the door. I had forgotten to mention a few days into the demolition process that water had leaked under my carpet a bit and I asked if they could check that as well - no problem at all, they lifted up the carpet, removed the bit of mold that was there, and disinfected it properly. Went to Yelp and called two places. Of the 3 World Restoration was the best. Best = On time, professional and straightforward. No BS. They came out with in 30-40 minutes after my call and didn't try to sell me. They told me what the issue was, what needed to be done vs. what the other companies said and quoted me a price 61% less than companies. He spent a ton of time explaining to me what was needed and what wasn't. IF you need a restoration company, I'd call these guys first. They were straight forward, honest and fair. My insurance company denied the bid so cost was important as was doing it right. I'd rather spend the money to get it done correctly but I need to know the people doing the job are honest and good. We had mold and mushroom growing on the wall of one of the bathrooms due to a suspected leak. Jim came out and identified possible causes. What really impressed me is the fact that instead of trying to push us to go through them to do the work, he asked how old my house was and after finding that it was only 2 years old, informed me that I should go through the builder to get it fixed for free since it is still under the 10 year warranty. I actually didn't even realize that anything in the walls were still under warranty for 10 years under CA law. He was super honest and helpful and full of class. We had a leak in the laundry room that spread to the kitchen behind the fridge, out to the counter by the stove. It was our 3rd leak within a year and a half (yes, leak #3), 2 previous contractors. We called World Restoration and they came out within the hour. Assessed the damage, immediately started tearing out the cabs and got down to business of drying the wood before mold started. They traced the leak back to behind the walls and fixed it, along with drying the walls (took a long 5 days with a blower and de-humidifier) AND replaced/repaired the wet cabinets and wood when it was all dry. It was all very well done, very professional. Not once got the feel of them pitching a sale. Everything was laid out plain and simple. My house had a mold situation, which made me quite ill. And thanks to Yelpers, I found Jim and he and his crew remediated the moldy areas and my house became a better place to live! The whole situation was quite distressing, as I had to get the mold inspectors test the house and coordinate the remediation and post remediation tests, which lasted over 2 weeks (this didn't include the rebuilding part). Jim was very knowledgeable and honest, and even caught an active leak of the powder room toilet. The crew was polite and professional. Even mold inspectors praised the quality of work they did. In addition to the quality work, their quote was reasonable. The whole mold remediation can be very expensive, but knowing that working with a good group of people made me feel better. World Restoration responded quickly and offered a very reasonable price compared to another big advertised restoration company. I found fungus and mushrooms growing up through my bamboo floors. I called World Restoration and Jim (the owner) was at my house within an hour. I then had a plumber and an irrigation guy come out to try and determine where the moisture was coming from and they couldn't figure it out. World Restoration determined the root of the problem and brought out heavy duty equipment to help us address the issue ASAP. About two years ago Jim and his crew performed some work on our kitchen. It took about a week and the only hiccup in the process was that the baseboard samples were misplaced/lost by the guys referred by Jim. A couple of calls to Jim and the samples were returned. After paying in cash, we parted ways in good terms (or so we thought). Fast forward to August 2018, we had to call them for a different water damage. Imagine our surprise when we were told that we are blacklisted and being denied service because of "the negative experience"!! Them losing our only samples make us (homeowners) the bad guys??!!!
