My skin crawled when the plumber told us we had a leak and possibly mold. Didn't hesitate to call Ready Restore to come check it out. They did a really CLEAN and HONEST job. First off, Larry communicated clearly what he was looking for and what steps he would take to troubleshoot. He layed out the best and worst case scenarios so I knew what to expect. He removed the toilet and then cut out the back wall to locate the leak. He found mold there and checked both adjacent walls (luckily he said we didn't need to get the adjacent wall treated). After cleaning the mold out, he let me know what was needed to finish the drying of walls. While he was working, he showed me how another wall (directly across) appeared to have mold as well (from 15 years of kids splashing shower water). Sure enough, he found a section with mold and cleaned it out too. We had an incredibly good experience with Ready Restore. Namely, Larry Byun. Prior to finding Ready Restore I was well researched to ensure we were using the right company for our mold issue. Larry was extremely thorough during his inspection, adding value in areas that wouldn't even impact his scope of work or business. He set the bar HIGH, even for my very Type A and detail oriented personality. Unfortunately, we tested positive for asbestos. Since abatement was required I wasn't able to use Ready Restore for the mold remediation. To which I was SO disappointed because I felt that Larry and his team would have done an exceptional job based on his quality work ethic to that point. Larry went above and beyond for us, even taking calls with the new environmental companies we were gathering estimates from. When the new environmental companies (that had could handle both asbestos and mold issues) were trying to give him the mold part of the business, I overheard him on the phone with them multiple times saying he just wanted what was best for us. He could have easily worked out a deal with them to still do the mold remediation even though the asbestos companies can handle mold as well, but he cared more about doing what was right for the customer instead of just getting a deal (it would have cost us significantly more money if two separate companies did the work). He even noted that we should immediately discontinue using our HVAC due to the nature of spreading mold, and also have it inspected by a company who works with HVAC/mold issues. After having a third party inspection done it turns out we did have mold in our HVAC and had that addressed appropriately as well. These details are so important as a consumer to know you're potentially hiring a company with people that really care. read more

We identified a leak behind our dishwasher which appeared to have been happening for some time. Our plumber came in and addressed the leak and recommended that we hire someone to take care of the mold. Ready Restore OC responded within minutes and we scheduled a consultation with Larry. We also got consultations and quotes from a few other companies as well but Larry took the most time to gauge how widespread the damage was in the initial visit. We were on the fence on who to hire at first since we wanted the job to be done as fast as possible and the other companies offered both the mold remediation as well as the repair. But my gut kept telling me to go with Larry if I wanted the job to be done right and I'm glad that I did. Larry and his crew remediated the area in a day and was careful to save as many parts of the cabinet as possible. Other companies weren't very confident that the countertop could be saved but Larry was able to do the job without damaging it. They were very careful with covering the floors when entering the house and made sure to clean up everything before leaving. Larry literally came by almost every single day to check whether everything has dried. I appreciate the patience because it took a lot longer than expected and Larry advised to have a plumber come in just to make sure there is no other leak source. Larry arrived on time every single time which is uncommon with my previous experiences with contractors. Even after the job is done, he offered to come by to check the moisture level again after my plumber comes by before we rebuild. My husband and i came up with this brilliant idea to buy investment properties to rent out while the property values go up... Not to bore you with details but lets just say it's a lot harder than you think. And of course, we run into what we think should be a little "touch up paint" in our garage which turned out to be MOLD from leaking pipes behind the wall. I looked and spoke with a bunch of people before I decided to contact Ready Restore. Emily who is absolutely just wonderful answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns and had her people come out to be right away. Within a few hours, 3 guys showed up at our investment property: Daniel, Harry, and Jose. They knew right away what was going on, how to contact my homeowners insurance company so i don't have to pay out of pocket, and how to fix the issue. I was very skeptical at first because i thought they were "working things up" to try to bill me for a huge invoice but they even helped me out so i didnt even have to pay and all of the bills were covered by the insurance company! I wish I took better pictures but you see the first picture with a bunch of dirty marks on top of the garage? It wasnt that bad until we started working on it which explains the blue tape and etc., but it really just looked like some dark marks that we needed touch up paint. As you can see from the rest of the garage, we needed to repaint the garage so this wasn't surprising but as you can seee from the second picture, it was actually water leaking from the pipes above it which made those marks which turned out to be mold. The pipers above it was connected to the toilet and it was actually the toilet that was leaking! Because we had to get insurance involved, we had to wait for their approval and everything but as soon as we got the approval, the guys came back and fixed everything right away. And just to top it all off, they even asked if they could go around the house to look for other potential issues and sure enough, our washer had a leak! They looked around the fridge, the washer & dryer, the dish washer, etc. Pictures 3 - 5 are the leaks that they detected but because it was detected not too long after the leak, there wasnt much water damage so no mold but they were also able to fix this without me having to pay a penny out of pocket! Turns out to be a leak from the washer that was getting into the livingroom but getting into the walls but they were able to detect it in time so they stopped the leak and placed their drying equipment for a few days and they were able to fix everything before the damage got worse. While Daniel and Jose were fixing the garage leak and all, I thanked Harry for all of their help (especially because i didnt have to pay anything) and wished them good luck since it looked like it's a new company that they started. Harry explained to me how him or his cousin or his family ran this same business in Texas and that they've been doing it for a long time and that they opened up this business in California so that they're technically not new to the industry but that they're a new company. Or something like that. Couldnt quite understand him too well with his lisp but it's always very refreshing to run into an honest family ran business who works hard and just does the best they can to help you save money while providing excellent work and customer service. I expected this place to have 10,000+ reviews only to come to remember that we are in southern california and it hardly ever rains so it would make sense that they wouldnt have too many reviews. Plus, they are very new (although the people that helped me have a lot of experience) which explains why they only have a few reviews but everyone appears to have had an amazing experience like myself! Would give them 10 stars if i could. A few months ago when it started raining, our roof started leaking very slowly and the rain got inside (without our knowledge). By the time we found little drops of rain here and there, we found water damage along with some mold. Called around a bunch of places and while we did get other lower quotes, i did not trust those lower quotes (prices were mininmally different). I had a feeling this place would do a good job except they did an AMAZING job. I first called the number i found on Yelp and spoke with a very nice young lady named Emily. She was so very helpful, polite, and repsonsive. She didn't know much about the whole process but she directed me to the people who were at my house within a few hours. We explained our concerns and two gentleman named Lawrence and Earl inspected our house thoroughly and even looked in areas and places we would have never even expected! They pulled our fridge out of the place it was sitting in (which was on the opposite end of the house) and they found mold behind the fridge!
