I reached out to Rafael several years for repairs on my home. He was responsive and great, so this time I reached out to him again for another roof leak. Big disappointment. The first initial call was great and fast. As the work began, delays started coming up in almost every single process. Before the work began, I mentioned there was a small section of pipe that needed to be redone, and he agreed to do it. As the repair progressed, he didn't address the pipe, and kept telling me someone would be back to do it later on. Work began January 2026, and it is now almost May. Rafael has become super unresponsive, kept scheduling with no shows, and pushing back the repair. Then he just stopped responding altogether. Up to this point the repair still has not been done. ARG Service with Rafael was with an insurance claim. It seems to me like they just don't reply after getting paid. Very unprofessional and irresponsible. Very unprofessional experience. The mold in this case was limited to surface areas, and no leaks or water intrusion were present. Despite this, the contractor made statements directly to the tenant claiming that the work would not be effective unless walls or flooring were removed -- which was never approved and not part of the scope. These comments were inappropriate and should have been discussed with the property owner only. Instead, they undermined the agreed work and caused unnecessary concern for the tenant. This is for the overall experience. They came out right away when I needed the consultation and presented, what I thought, was a good solution to my problem. The estimate was for 5 days of drying, they came, taped the place up, and left. Fast forward, the fans have been in place for almost 2 weeks and they have been near impossible to reach. With a newborn and a 1 year old, we need our kitchen, it would have been better if they returned phone calls or texts regularly instead of 2-3 days later. Also, initially they told us we would have access to the kitchen so we did not move the things we needed.. for a newborn (e.g. sanitizing machines), but when they got there, they taped off the main kitchen and we had no time to grab anything at all. i've had such a long string of mediocre/bad contractors that working with rafael and his team was such a breath of fresh air. he's easy to text with and ask for updates and is very communicative about all details. his team was so accommodating of our "no shoes in the house" rules and not only laid down paper and wore booties, they even mopped up the floor when they were done! i had a small leak in the roof which led to water damage in the wall/ceiling of my primary room. they dried it out over a weekend, fixed the roof, and replastered everything and repainted with the correct paint match. it looks like nothing ever happened, but i can not recommend ARG enough to anyone looking for solid work at a reasonable price. estimates from other people were almost double the cost. thanks rafael! read more

They also ensure that the root cause of the problem was carefully addressed even if it was not part of the paid service, specifically the roof inspection, leak repair, and a re-inspection to ensure the roof is leak-proof. Mario was also flexible and patient with the changes in the mode of payment (Zelle, cashier's check, and cash). Overall, my bathroom looked wider, way nicer, and seamless, and the stress associated with work and payment were less. I had a mold remediation to bathroom project from March 9 to 12, 2026 and it was successfully completed this afternoon. Gabriel with ARG quickly gave me an inspection on the day I entered a request on Yelp on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Rafael Garcia emailed me a quote on February 24, 2026. After 2 more companies did their inspections, I finally decided on February 28, 2026 and approved the quote from ARG Restoration & Construction. Gabriel and Carlos arrived very close to the agreed time in the morning on March 9, 2026. Carlos started working on day one, March 9, 2026 all the way to day four, March 12, 2026. He got some assistance with Emiliano on day two, March 10, 2026 for a brief time - less than one hour in the morning. Carlos has been professional and outstanding in completing the project. He was able to troubleshoot certain issues and was able to find a solution that produced excellent results. Gabriel was also helpful in the initial inspection and provided support via our text messages during these four days. Gabriel also helped me by having Frank come and take out all the trash that accumulated yesterday, March 11, 2026. I am very satisfied with the results and hopefully there will be no more leaks for many decades to come. We had just moved into our home at the beginning of this year and within a couple of weeks, there was a leak in our kitchen! I contacted Raphael and he got Mario to come out and take a look at our kitchen and assess everything while we worked with our home insurance company to get the damages covered. They took care of everything from the mold to demo to asbestos to storage and putting my kitchen back together. The best part was them handling our home insurance as well! I had a leak in my kitchen, when talking to the insurance claim adjuster, they concluded that the damage to my home was minimal. I wasn't happy with their response because my plumber who had stopped the leak, had stated otherwise. The adjuster suggested I call a remediation company and have them give another opinion. That's when I found Rafael on Yelp. He was absolutely incredible from the beginning. He came out and diagnosed the problem which ended up being pretty big and he submitted all required paperwork to the insurance to get my claim approved and paid. The progressive insurance claim adjuster was also fantastic so that really helped a lot. Ricky his worker was excellent and did a great job with the mold cleanup. The issues came when I turned the payment over to Rafael before all the work was fully completed. It also didn't help that he got busy after the LA fires. He stopped being as responsive as in the beginning and ended up leaving quite a bit of details unfinished and just kept giving me the run around about fixing things. Grant it, I'm a bit of a perfectionist but even when I tried to compromise on a lot of little details and when I was understanding of several fixes that had to be made, he still fell short of his final commitments to me and it's disappointing that it ended up being that way. Moral of the story, don't pay until things are completed to your satisfaction and you should be okay. read more

This is a long overdue review. Mario's team rebuilt my water damaged kitchen 8 months ago and replaced the bathtub 4 months ago. They did fantastic jobs on both project. See attached pictures. It's hard to tell which part of the kitchen was rebuilt. The results of the restoration were beyond my expectations. They completed the complex restoration within 2 weeks. Right after the Altadena fires, Rafael came up with a plan to get our house ready to be moved back into with smoke remediation. His staff worked fast and diligently and had my tenants back in within record time. I asked for refund for portion they did not do and Rafael remaining silence. they will promise you but they think they are smart. they do mickey mouse job and when you ask to come back and fix it no response. they did not refund portion they did not do and they refuse to come back to do the rest. also because of their negligence and slow process my insurance premium was doubled. stay away from them. they are headache. Flooring is cracking in kitchen and living room areas Rafael and his staff did. Stay away from this company. They come and charge thousands of dollars for their remediation visits and refuse to fix the root of the issue. My gardener helped me by getting me a $200 sump pump that was working way more efficiently and faster than their machines. ARG charged a few thousand for each visit... makes no sense. Incredible they wouldn't recommend a sump pump in the first place, just shows what they are about. Our situation was very urgent but they would not act as urgently as this required which made more damages for my inner ceiling and also below the house where water was sitting. They only came and to put up their remediation/dehumidifying machines and let them sit there for days (using up tons of energy), and they never got to the root of the issue. My gardener was actually the one to help me by running an errand to Home Depot to buy a sump pump for $200. I told ARG not to come back and still they charged me for work that was not finished, unreasonably high cost for what they presumably did. They just want to come and have you use their machines so they can charge you thousands of dollars each visit. Stay away and get a $200 sump pump. It will save you lots of time and money! Lastly, because of the additional damage that was caused with the inner ceiling I had to pay way more money for the renovations I started with this other company. That other company came the next day and started the repair work immediately, something I had been promised and waited on for months with ARG. Not a pleasant experience! To their offense, everyone I've met is very nice, BUT business is not good. They started some repair work and didn't finish but still charged me full price. Incredible. read more
