Awesome place! My daughter and I walking by decided to stop for apps and a drink. We were greeted by an awesome bartender (I got her name but lost the receipt I wrote it down on) Megan I think? Drinks were awesome cold and perfect! The food was delicious probably best chicken tenders we've had. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders with sidewinder fries MUST ORDER their sidewinder Fries. I just had Motz sticks they were delicious didn't have any freezer type flavor tasted fresh and the cheese was perfect amount lots!!! We will be returning next month when we are back in OR.

We stopped here on Christmas Eve to unwind after our family get together. Rennies has been serving the University of Oregon area since 1981, rich in history this is a must stop when visiting the U of O. It is in a converted house and is located on the western edge of campus and just a block from the University of Oregon Bookstore. It is right across the street from the School of Business. They have an outdoor patio both upstairs and on the ground floor. It was not too busy as expected on Christmas Eve and we had the opportunity to interact with the General Manager. Although we only stopped in for drinks, he shared they were making some changes to the menu so the pics I took may not be totally accurate in the near future. The menu looks really good, we wish we weren't so full or we would have tried something! Dad had a coffee, mom had water, my wife had a rum and coke and I had an IPA. We hung out for a little while and checked the place out, I also won $50 playing video lottery. It was really cool to experience and something that has been part of the college scene here for about 40 years. Wishing them another 40 years of success!

Tater tots and hot wings

I just turned 21 this summer and have frequented Rennie's ever since. So far, I've tried Rennie's lemonade, tequila sunrise, their hot wings, mushroom burger, and tater tots. Everything I got there was pretty good. The lemonade and tequila sunrise are both a little expensive but because both drinks got me buzzed, it was worth the price. Drinks both tasted really good as well and were consistent through the multiple times I've ordered them. Their hot wings and burger tasted alright, was expensive for average food so I probably won't be ordering them again. The tater tots were really good, however, and also served in a large portion so I definitely recommend getting those. Overall my trips to Rennie's have all been pleasant and it is a great place to chill with your friends before or after a night out.

Food prices have gone up everywhere and The Wild Duck has not only raised their prices but now made everything a side. Want a burger? The fries are extra. Soft drinks and iced tea are an astounding $5. And today's meal was probably the worst I have had at a restaurant. Tried their Hawaiian plate lunch. The Kahlua pork was decent but a very small portion. The chicken Katsu was more breading than chicken and dry. The tiny scoops of rice were not hot and the macaroni salad was greasy to the point of wanting to call in the EPA. It more like a plate snack than a plate lunch. The server was pleasant enough but did not provide adequate service. It took forever to get our drinks (it was not busy) and then just dropped off the stack of checks at the end of the table. Add in the automatic 18% service charge (tip) and 3% charge for using a credit card and you have the picture of a bad experience.

Today I reached out to this local spot to see if they would have the fights on and allow cigars on…read morethe patio. They were soo prompt to respond, which I was pleasantly surprised. Mind you the reason I remembered this local place is during our recent Ice storm they kept heaters going and food for those who needed it and shelter. I wanted to go spend my money somewhere that definitely deserves it! When we got there they were so kind, the place is sooo clean and has everything! We were able to sit on the patio and watch the UFC fights, have food and drinks. We ended up staying for hours we liked it so much. The owner stopped by and was very kind and so friendly. ALSO their pretzel.. you have to get!! I'm a pretzel person and obviously a foodie; best one I've ever had!!!! With the beer cheese sauce with just a hint of spice! This place is so current with tons of screens everywhere, lots of games to play, all different sorts of seating, a full bar, the list goes on. I would highly recommend. Plus a huge thank you for giving back to the community when people needed it most! I will be back!! Tomorrow I do know they're hosting the Super Bowl!

Big City Gaming and Home Team Kitchen- 4 stars…read more Big City Gaming is a Sports Bar in Eugene. I went here on the 4th of July which is hella less annoying than 4th of July in the Mission in SF aka my hood. So my beloved Lotus Garden aka vegan Chinese food that is fab that I would frequent in the day when in lived in Eugene was closed on the 4th despite their website saying they were open and walked there to find out they only are currently doing take out. Damn like Kendrick Lamar So I walk back to Big City Gaming and the friendly bartender tells me that they have an all vegetarian menu even though it isn't pure veg aka they have non veg too. It's all good baby, baby. I am starving after walking heaps in the hard sun like Eddie Vedder. So I get some water and check out the all veg menu. Upon the bartender's suggestion I go with the jackfruit tacos. They were quite alright aka two corn tortillas filled with generous portions of fajita style grilled jackfruit, topped with cabbage, pico de gallo and our signature avocado crema sauce sprinkled with queso fresco. I decided to add vegan crema and non-dairy cheese for a buck. It hit the spot. I did feel like a fish out of water with all the screens showing baseball as basketball is my jam. I am a huge Warriors fan and sad we lost Donte yet he is going to the Knicks. Cool atmosphere with screens for sports and games such as shooting basketballs in the hoop etc. Recommended for sports night!

I ordered the Country Fried Steak with poached eggs and gravy on the side (because I planned on taking half home and wanted to preserve the breading on the steak). The panko coating on the steak had me intrigued, but it was great! The hashbrowns were pretty tasty, although they could have been crispier. The biscuit was decent, but the flavor of the gravy and the steak brought it all together. The quality reminded me of another sports bar here in Bend that has really good breakfast/brunch foods. I can't really speak to the other dishes but my wife and daughter were very happy with their French Toast and Waffle. I'd def stop back in if I was in the area.

Started with beers and a southwest egg roll order. We ordered because the server said it is running about 30 minutes for orders. The egg rolls came out and they were good. Really nice sports bar with a lot of tv options.
