Built my own burger --sautéed mushroom, sautéed onion, Swiss, bacon, garlic mayo

This was probably the worst burger I've ever had in my life. The bacon was gross, everything was under seasoned and soggy. It felt like I was being punished for ordering it The fries are also gross. The only good in the order was "The DC" chicken sandwich my partner got so we do recommend that at least. All in all I will not be ordering from here again. I've had much better experiences at Burger King down the street and for less money!

Best dive bar I've ever been to. The service is so quick, food is amazing, and prices are so cheap! They rotate their draft beers regularly and always have food specials. I highly recommended coming here if you're in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Renegades is a great local spot to East Boston! They food is just what you'd expect, classic bar bites and food. I went with the chicken Caesar wrap and panko chicken dressed in BBQ sauce which were both delicious. They also have a fun spin on tater tots that are stuffed and again delicious! This place is always great vibes and everyone is always friendly. Must try!!

Stopped in as I waited for a friends arrival at Logan. I always try to find a pub when I'm in Boston. And Renegade's didn't disappoint. Great neighborhood bar. The corn beef Reuben was unbelievably tender. Made this trip perfect.

Cool little dive bar near Boston Logan where you can hear some good tunes and enjoy a tasty beverage. Chicken sandwich was on Point and bartender was very kind and accommodating. Only reason for 4 stars is they close at 1AM. Would be prefect if they went a little longer (2AM). Cheers!

Fun locals bar that's not far from some of the airport hotels. Low key with good bartenders and a good selection of local beers on tap. The "mystery shot" was fun too, but I probably just got lucky

Stopped to grab a bite and for my son to get a drink before dropping off the rental car. We surprisingly found parking right in front. Came in, seat yourself. The waiter/bartender was handling the front himself and he was on top of it! He got us waters while we looked over the menu. My son ordered the DC which is a buttermilk chicken sandwich with a side of onion rings and he couldn't stop talking about how good the onion rings were. They were thin, red onions with a light coating. I had the Ladder 21 burger with onion rings. Delicious and juicy burger and the fried jalapeños knocked it out! Great prices, great food, great service!!!

This dive bar is so popular that it's often hard to get seated. However, the food is really cheap and the salads are surprisingly good.

The place was hyped up online but when we got there, it was not what we expected and just went right back to AT O'Keeffe's for dinner! Although I don't eat burgers cause they are too filling, I ordered the smash burger. It was delicious! The calamari was so perfect! Best I've ever had. We also ordered the chicken wings and had to try the fish and chips. Everything was amazing. The only thing we didn't really go for was the clam chowder. Even though it was more authentic then some other places we had it at for our Boston chowder marathon, the potatoes were cut too big and it wasn't as thick and creamy as we like. Again, Thank You Darius for being such a great server! We appreciate the quick service and attention - from 5 hungry girls on Friday night!

The guys at the bar were really nice and food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the fish sandwich and upgraded my fries to truffle fries. My sandwich was yummy, with a good size fish fillet. I'm sure it's great, I should have ordered the talked about Chicken sandwich or burger. lol Next time!

The walls tell stories, the lighting is comfortably dim, and the place feels genuinely lived-in rather than styled for Instagram. It's the sort of space that invites lingering, conversation, and a pint or two more than you planned. The food is solid if not exceptional, hitting the marks you expect from a Boston institution of its kind. You won't find inventive plating or culinary surprises here, but that's not what JJ Foley's is about. It's a place that trades innovation for consistency, which in itself has value. The main drawback comes when the place fills up. Service becomes noticeably strained, and something as simple as getting a drink refill can take long enough to test your patience. When it's quieter, the staff are friendly and attentive, but at peak hours the experience slides from cozy to crowded. Still, JJ Foley's endures not because it's perfect, but because it knows exactly what it is: an honest, old Boston pub that's still standing tall while others try to chase trends. It's imperfect, familiar, and worth the visit.
