Excellent bartender - the drinks here punch way above their weight for the price. I'd come back anytime for that! Of the dishes we got, the apps and dessert were best. I felt my gnocchi ate on the greasy side, as well as my wife's salmon. Flavor wise, everything was pretty spot on tho. If they tighten up a little bit, this would be an easy 5 star.

Omg the new tapas menu. Come and get it!!! Chef Felipe has outdone himself again. The new tapa menu features 9 delicious options at affordable prices. Perfect for a drink and bite. Love this place!!!

Pistachio martini (front) and espresso martini (back) - this is after a few sips, they always come filled to the rim!

Updating my review yet again because I can't say enough good things about this place. Brandon, the bartender, is what makes this place so good. He makes the best cocktails and is such a pleasure to talk to. He can make any drink and always remembers what we typically order.

    Inside

Food tasted great but service was a bit slow even though we were at the restaurant early and there were only two other tables. It took a good 10-15 minutes for basic appetizer. Don't expect much of ambiance.

What an extraordinary experience! From the ambiance , the exquisite food and the exceptional service . If your ever in Winthrop, MA , this restaurant is a must ! The attention to detail was unlike no other . The craftsmanship of the art work within the restaurant was beautiful. They were conversation starters and a pleasure to view . The owner and artist is a magnificent talent and so humble in the explanation of his pieces. The bartender was knowledgeable and professional. His expertise in cocktails was memorable. He also took such good care of us The must try cocktail was the pistachio martini Unbelievable!!! Hats off to the chef because all the plates were wonderful and had a beautiful presentation . The attention to detail in this establishment is 5 stars !!!! Thank you guys for a fabulous evening !!

Without a doubt one of our favorite restaurants of all time. Incredible flavors and the bartender Brandon is superior. We go a lot because it is always a great time. The owner also is a carpenter and his creations are all over the restaurant and are so unique and fascinating.

Good local restaurant here and no complaints . We had the pigs ears , calamari , fries and the burger as to go and we enjoy it pretty much . Crispy pig ears and good fries. Next time we will try the main entree when we have a chance to sit down.

Thickest, most seasoned, and most delicious Clam Chowder I've ever had. I wanted a second one but knew we had more on our tour to enjoy so I had to resist. In one of my photos attached, the spoon stands straight up in the mug! Incredible! The other food getting served around us looked great too. Definitely adding this to our "come back to" list when we visit Boston again.

Our plan was to sit outside at a table on their SIDEWALK area with my 10lb dog in her stroller, but the hostess said, with an attitude, no dogs allowed in the patio area. Patio area? My mom was hungry so we opted to get a bowl of chowder to go and we put our name down at the restaurant next door who was UBER dog friendly and even gave my girl a dog bone when we checked in, and lots of pets. Anyways the clam chowder should be renamed to dill chowder because dang, why so much! And hardly any clam, mostly potatoes. Not a fan of the policy or the chowder, would not recommend

We tried 4 different types and every single one tasted super fresh, clean, and just really high quality. You can tell they know what they're doing here, even the way they shuck it is nice and clean, no shell pieces or anything. Their menu actually has like 10+ kinds of oysters, highly selective and premium. I really wish we had more time (and stomach space) to try more. But we already had like 3 dinners planned that night lol so this was more like a "stop by and eat as much oysters as possible" situation. Honestly I'm pretty sure the other food here is just as good, based on what I saw on other tables. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston.

(I'm certain the staff are aware that many of their diners express shock, once the price is disclosed...) Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....

The sangria was okay and the crab rangoon dip was exactly what I expected, but the squid ink tagliatelle surprisingly impressed me. The pasta itself had a nice flavor, making me wonder if they source it from somewhere or just prepare it well enough to mask its box origins. I hadn't even been that hungry, but it was genuinely so good that I cleaned the plate. Wowowow. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a low-light, wood-heavy interior featuring a mix of table, booth, and bar seating. It's the perfect ambience for a date night. A cute thing to note is the box of free English breakfast tea bags at the door, which I thought was charming and oh-so Boston.

Provisions delivered a memorable dining experience with thoughtful wine pairings and warm,…read moreattentive service from start to finish. I selected their "Dine Out Boston" prix fire menu. The course began with the charred octopus appetizer, which was easily one of the highlights of the night. The octopus had a beautifully crispy, charred exterior while remaining soft and juicy inside. It was coated in an aromatic, slightly sweet glaze that reminded me of balsamic, adding depth without overpowering the dish. The daikon brought a subtle sweetness with hints of soy and sugar that balanced everything nicely. The greens were slightly dry and a bit overcooked, but still a pleasant addition overall. Generous portion and very well executed. I also got to try the smoked fish croquettes which were another standout. Shaped almost like crispy potato balls, they had the perfect crunch on the outside and a creamy, soft filling inside. The fish flavor was light and delicate, not overly "fishy", making them incredibly enjoyable and well-balanced. For wine, I had an Austrian Grüner selection that was sweet and crisp, yet smooth. It paired beautifully with the octopus, enhancing the glaze and balancing the char. I had to get another glass of this after my entire meal. The prosciutto-wrapped cod was visually stunning - vibrant, colorful, and thoughtfully plated with fingerling potatoes, slices of chorizo, and a bright orange confit beneath the fish. While the presentation and portion size were great, this entrée fell a bit short in flavor. The cod itself was tender and juicy, but it needed some seasoning. The prosciutto created a slightly dry crust, and a steak knife was necessary to cut through it comfortably. The confit and vegetables leaned a little too tangy and overpowered the dish. I found the fingerlings ame chorizo to be slightly over-salted, and while the chorizo had good flavor, I felt that there were too many overpowering flavors coming through. Overall, this wasn't my favorite dish of the night, though the wine paired with it was excellent. Dessert completely redeemed the experience. The mascarpone berry cake was sweet, spongy, and moist with a warm center. It was topped with a citrusy vanilla whipped cream and fresh strawberries, which added brightness and balance. Absolutely delicious. The Moscato-like dessert wine - lightly bubbly, fruity, soft, and sweet - paired perfectly and elevated the cake even more. Overall, Provisions shines in its appetizers, wine pairings, and exceptional service (thank you, Katie!). While the cod entrée didn't quite meet my expectations, the experience as a whole was enjoyable and thoughtfully curated. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate well-executed small plates and expertly paired wines!

Your options, and your experience, will be limited. It would not surprise me if the "kitchen" were composed of a small grill, a panini grill, a microwave, and a refrigerator. After we sat down, it took a couple of minutes for one of the waitresses to visit our table. By then we had decided what to eat and drink. They only have Sam on tap, and everything else, including Sam Seasonal, is in bottles - or so they say. Since we wanted drafts, we ordered Sam - we actually got Sam Summer (so... win). BUT... as soon as we finished giving our waitress our drink order, we paused to begin our dinner order, and she walked away without even checking with us. The rest of the evening, the other waitress too, (MUCH) better care of us. The buffalo chicken fingers appetizer was okay, as was my panini. The lasagna was obviously microwaved. Everything was ok, nothing more. I wish there had been more of a pub or lounge atmosphere to the place.
