Good Spot Tried Casey's last night after someone recommended it. It is a small, casual, clean, neighborhood restaurant and the crowd seemed liked regulars. Although I heard the steak tips were great, we ordered a pizza which was very good. The waiter was polite and friendly and told us they had a DJ there some evenings and once in a while a band will entertain. The prices are fair. Come here every few weeks on Wednesday to have pizza, wings and beer with a sports group. Service is always friendly and top notch. Fiddlehead on tap. We always have a good time. The game of the day (baseball, hockey, basketball) is always on and a bunch of regulars are there. Not too loud though for us to have a good conversation. read more

Did not realize this was a bar! it was a Friday night and a friend and I was looking for a place to dine in, it was around 8. We walked in and sat down, server came, brought us a menu and ID us, I gave him my ID, my friend said he's not drinking, so the server start us off with drinks, he got a coke and I got water. I had the pleasure of having my 50th birthday party at Casey's this past weekend. Booking the space and putting a menu together for 30+ people was very seamless. Michael (Owner) was great planning everything for the party. When we arrived I was in contact with Fitzy. He executed the delivery of all the food we ordered and everything we ordered came out perfectly. Plenty of food for everyone and got many compliments from the guests who attended the event. I would definitely recommend Casey's when looking for a place to have an event. Michael and his staff did an amazing job from start to finish. If I want to get drunk and eat some bar food in East Somerville, this is the spot. The chicken fingers are the best-big strips of actual chicken, not processed parts. I also liked the nachos we ordered-they were topped with delicious beef chili, cheese, and were very generous in portion size. The chili here is really good too, and you can't beat it-a bowl of chili with cheddar cheese is a whopping $4. I'll be back for that during the cold weather-nothing beats a bowl of chili on a cold day. The pizza is really good here too-nice and greasy if you need something to soak up your beer. Cocktails are reasonably priced and the staff is really friendly. They recently did some renovating and the place looks much nicer than it did before. They usually play classic rock, which I appreciate. Casey's also participates in the East Somerville Main Streets Two for Tuesdays promotion, and you can get two appetizers for the price of one when that is running. They also are very active with the local community and East Somerville Main Streets and clean ups, which is great. read more

Went here on Sunday to watch the Pats after two other bars up the street were at capacity. Glad we ended up here since this place was quiet but jovial and had the best steak tips I've had this side of Broadway. Ya heard!? They were better than The Pub and better than On the Hill. Yep. I do think the rice is better at On the Hill though. Our server was nice and it was definitely crowded and he was a bit slow at a few times but still a great server. I sipped on four Cranberry, Soda Water and Limes throughout the afternoon and had a great time. Bonus points for the bathroom being very clean! I big bonus. Casey's is what a neighborhood bar should be. It's divey-ish but looks like it has been renovated within the past few years - and that's a good thing. Gansett on tap - and cheap - makes me happy -- as do the DAMN fine steak tips. Also give you a free bowl of freshly popped popcorn to pair with your drink. Friendly (without being TOO friendly) bartenders. It's kind of an older crowd, the food and beer is cheap and REAL good, and there's plenty of room to hang out along the bar, get a table in the back, or enjoy a Sox game by yourself. Check out Bob's tips and compliment Bob on how good they taste. He's an older gentleman who wears a Red Sox hat and is cooking seven nights a week at the place. They've got about 15 varieties on tap and the price is right. Bud and Bud Light are $2.50 for a 16 ounce and $3 for a 20 ounce, and premiums range from $3-4. Perfect place to hang out and get a bite to eat!!! My boyfriend and I are definitely pub feel/dive type goers when it comes to bars and restaurants. We always enjoy sitting at the bar because we worry about how the service will be when there isn't a lot of wait staff. Although there was not a stool available at the bar at Casey's we did not have to wait for anything! One waiter handled the whole crowded pub area flawlessly. He checked on us multiple times to how are good was or if he could get us more drinks. Additionally the food was amazing! We both got steak tips; they were marinated perfectly and literally melted in your mouth. The manager even stopped by to ask if we were pleased with everything. I heart this bar. Admittedly, Casey's is not much to look at, but what it lacks in decor it makes up for with cheap beer and awesome bar food. The pizza is surprisingly delicious and the steak tips are some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The crowd is a bit older, especially during the week, but on the weekends the younger crowd rolls in. The staff is always really friendly and the service from Billy the bartender is a fan favorite. I don't recommend Casey's if you are looking for an upscale place to wine and dine, but if it's cheap beer and food that you crave-- it can't be beat. I just didn't get it as the staff seemed oblivious to the customers (us) I didn't see any mention of steak tips much less a menu. It was bigger than I expected, as half the place is set up as a standard bar, with the other half set up with long tables and a few TV screens for sports and karaoke. This place is just awful. Went there on a Saturday because our airbnb was around the corner. Really loud music (think Rick Astley) with a bunch of patrons dancing around. But it was all fine until two Hispanic guys who were minding their own business were escorted out, with some racist middle aged lady at the bar shouting after them "Mexico? El Salvador?" I asked her what her problem was and her friend-- some old guy-- told me to go fuck myself. Charming. Then at the end we were treated to a bizarre scene of the uniformed cops who were hanging out in the bar earlier offering to give rides home to their buddies in the cruiser. Weird place. read more

Casey's has the BEST bar food around. The steak tips are amazing, delicious burgers, they even have a pretty good pizza. This is a traditional Blue collar bar, with cheap pitchers of beers and a low key atmosphere. The only Problem I have with Casey's is that the Owner can be a jerk. He's friendly if he knows you, but if you're under 40 and not a regular he could care less about your business.
