Very good experience. The server was attentive without being overbearing. My daughter had the deviled eggs and pork belly bites. She enjoyed the eggs but stated the bites were not good as they were cold. I had the prime rib, which I had to send back because it was cold and tough. The did a remake and it was better when it came back. We both had martinis, which were decent. I appreciated how they addressed the prime rib. We did not speak about the pork bites so cannot comment on that. read more

We stopped here without a reservation on the same weekend as the Magnificent Mile light parade and got seated really quickly. We had fast and efficient service and the place was decorated nicely for the holidays. We had burgers and the mahi mahi sandwich both with their shoestring fries. The first dinner during my last visit to CHI in 2023! This time I took my mom there. We shared a pork chop, spatzel mac and cheese and charred broccoli--yes, the pork chop was large enough to share! Everything was delicious. I especially love the pork chop because it was super tender and juicy, pink and soft inside while crispy and salty outside. perhaps the best pork chop cook to medium. My mom likes it too and it was gone in no time haha. The spatzel mac and cheese was just traditional Mac and cheese cooked using spatzel. The spatzel was more chewy than usual mac, definitely great as a side. It would be perfect of the sauce on charred broccoli was warm. Service and vibe was also fantastic. When the front desk saw that we had four big luggage, she seated us at a table where we could put all our belongings easily. So in general this was a great dining experience! read more

Came by for dinner with some colleagues and the food did not disappoint! Ordered oysters to start and debated between east vs. west coast oysters and our server recommended getting a mix. The east coast oysters were the clear winner! We all decided on getting the prime rib with baked potato. Though it wasn't a pretty looking piece of meat, it was tender and perfectly cooked. The loaded baked potato was superb as well. Our server seemed to be MIA at the end though when I was hoping to get another glass of sparkling wine, and finally waved him down. The absolute BEST fish sandwich I've ever eaten!!! The Brussels are so delicious... the way they combine the flavor with the bacon and jalapeño is genius. The fries where nicely season and fresh. The service was great and swift. Loved the vibe of the restaurant and they were able to accommodate us without any pushback. I really wanted to return before my trip ended but wasn't able to. First of all -- the service was just wonderful. I do not recall the name of the first server (a young man) who took such good care of us last Saturday but I know Carolina B did last night. Both were very attentive without over doing it. And the food? I am picky. I will admit it. The food was delicious with every bite. The server was extremely supportive with my tweaking my salad and combining two on the menu while removing the meat and cheese. Delicious! My spouse also simply inhaled the fish special of the day as well. We sat outside for both meals and found the setting both comfortable and charming. Truly our go to place in the city. Unpretentious, reasonably priced and consistently excellent food and service.

Food was great, service attentive, decor nice and contemporary. The place has everything going for it, except 3.5% 'Administrative fee' inconspicuously added to my bill. It took a conversation with the boss lady to get it removed. The manager blamed it on the "corporate team", like participating in a corporate scam makes you less of a crook - one must make a deal with their conscience somehow. As for corporate owners, i.e., Messrs. Doug Dunlay, Michael Dunlay, Derek Rettell, and Josh Rutherford - shame on you. If you cannot make enough money, be honest and rise prices explicitly. These gentlemen claim combined 110 years of experience to the restaurant industry, why not use it? Advertising $100 menu item and charging $103.5 is fraud. read more

Great steakhouse w/ a nice atmosphere. I was w/ a group of 8 and we were seated by the windows. We had the guacamole and chips to start. I had ordered the ribeye (medium) w/ a loaded baked potato (no cheese), w/ a side of asparagus. The asparagus was enough to share w/ 2 others. The food was cooked perfectly and was delicious! Remington is always a good go to! It's located on Michigan Ave so if you're roaming around Michigan or visiting the beam and you get hungry.....no worries, stop by I promise you won't regret it. The ambience is always so nice. It's an upscale vibe work great prices on the menu. There also have a patio area which I love. This night we sat at the bar. The bartender was amazing....per usual. He with on top of things. Anytime I needed something he was right there to assist. I got the drink "Purple Rain" and hunnnnnny let me tell you. It's tasty but also get the job done! We were nearly the only guests here on a Sunday at 11am which was surprising because the atmosphere was nice, the staff were kind, and the food was good. I had the crab cakes entree and it was well prepared and a large serving. Ambiance and service here is nice but we had multiple issues with the food. The west coast oysters they served me were bad! They fell apart off the shell with a milky slimy white substance, it was disgusting. The GM January came to see them and comped the item from the bill but the entire plate of oysters was bad and I can't believe they weren't more apologetic for serving bad oysters, I pray I don't get food poisoning from the one I attempted to eat read more

What a great meal! Abraham was such an attentive and amazing server for our large group. Every meal was consistently fantastic!

Had a lovely meal here just the other night. They were kind enough to seat us even though we arrived just after seating had concluded for the night. We sat with a perfect view of the park, which combined with the tasteful holiday decorations just made for the perfect dinner ambiance. We ordered drinks and a spinach dip appetizer. It had a crispy cheese shell on top that went perfectly with the creamy dip and warm tortillas. For entrees we ordered the filet with au poivre sauce and a loaded baked potato. My GF had the roasted half chicken with mashed potatoes. We shared a side of crispy Brussels sprouts. They might have actually upstaged the main dishes they were so good. They were served with bacon and vinegar and were absolutely addictive. The steak was prepared my requested rare and was delicious. The chicken entree looked lovely and was tasted fantastic. Came here for their restaurant week lunch as it's right across the street from Art institute of Chicago. The decor was old school and it was dark in the restaurant. The service was not bad but slow given there were not many customers at the time. The lunch came with 3 courses for $25. The food came in large portion but had really heavy taste and were very salty. Their fries were thinly cut in case it matters. Desserts were ridiculously sweet...we liked our tuna poke. The steak was tender. I had lunch and had the Restaurant Week special. The sliders are by far the best sliders I've ever had. The Remington's salad was fresh and so full of flavor. Another must try is there carrot cake. This. Burger. Is. EVERYTHING. It was SO GOOD. It was pretty large and super tasty. It came with a black angus beef patty medium-well, sharp cheddar, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. For the first night of my stay in Chicago, I was looking for a place to grab dinner that was within walking distance from Millennium Park and had great reviews, and that is how I found this place! Upon entering, the staff was attentive and guided my mom and me to our table (which faced the busy street with plenty of views for people to watch). The server served us water immediately, and we got our drink order in less than one minute. Given that the restaurant was not busy yet for dinner time, in less than 10 minutes, the dinner crowd started to pick up in this restaurant. The ambiance of this place was inviting and cozy. There were still Christmas decorations here and there in the restaurant, which added to the pleasant atmosphere of the place. I ordered a gimlet and their house burger, which was super delicious and juicy with the perfectly cooked burger meat (I ordered medium rare), and my mom ordered their fish of the day option. She also enjoyed her meal and finished everything except for the last bit of her fries. We ordered a skillet-baked cookie topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was the perfect dessert to end a delicious meal. My mom and I enjoyed our time here for dinner, and I highly recommend this place if you are ever in Chicago. read more

Over the summer of 2023 Kelly and I popped in here for lunch while enjoying a downtown staycation. It was an inspired choice. The lunch menu is the dinner menu, which is a bit of a drawback as there isn't much light fare, but there are sandwiches, and one of them, i'm pleased to say, is amazing. The au jus roast beef sandwich is the bomb! The tender roast beef may be the best in the city. The fries are of the skinny McDonald's variety and are also superb. Its a must order and worth a trip for that alone. The cocktails are extremely well made and the wine list has a couple affordable rose options for a sunny summer afternoon. Bravo! read more

We are in town visiting, and stopped in to Remington's for lunch. Everything was so good! The food was delicious, fast, and obviously fresh. The ambiance of the bar area was lovely as well. What really made our lunch incredible though was our server, Aby. She was friendly, gave great suggestions, and was so attentive.
