She is a wizard with scissors: I leave feeling amazing, I wash my hair and it looks amazing, and the grow out (I am terrible about getting regular cuts) is amazing. (Quick disclaimer: when my hair grows out I only count 3-4 months after I get it cut.) I came in just before Christmas and showed Regina some photos of Maisie Peters's bob and a couple French bobs and she suggested going a half inch to an inch longer than my inspiration photos (because of my hair texture) and she was right! BUYER BEWARE!!! I'm going to have to give the first one-star review. After going through a bad breakup... I wanted to do something nice for myself and change my look. I showed her an idea of what I wanted (hair color w/shadow cap) & took it from one of her client's pics. But she damaged my hair so bad, it's been such a nightmare that I felt like I was breaking up all over again! Since her hair dye job, everytime I take a shower and it gets wet, it reverts back to that tangled teased state, and I cant run my fingers through it to wash my hair. It becomes a giant knotted mess that I need to brush wet otherwise it will dry into a knotted mess. I don't understand how someone who does coloring for a living can mess up this bad. Especially after repeatedly saying she "has Asian clients & knows Asian hair." I've had to pay more $$$ to correct & create the shadowcap she didn't make initially. She could've said (based on her experience with Asian hair) that we can only go so light/ that it should've been done in stages. But she assured me she worked with "Asian hair". You had but one job... If I did this at my job as a programmer...which basically means setting servers on fire, I'd be fired. Since this appointment, I've had to do a $85 tone and cut & tried a $150 keratin treatment (the wet mop of photos is still AFTER my efforts). This has been an expensive nightmare. I found her off Instagram, and we all know how fake and staged that social media site can be. It seemed as if she was punishing me for being caught in a late doctor appt despite my giving her advanced notice. She quoted me at one rate @ $250 over text and it ended up being $100+ more for the photos and videos you will see below. BEWARE. I've been seeing Regina for about a year-and-a-half. I bring her gifts regularly, and tip her over 30%. I believe in taking care of the people that take care of you. She usually does a pretty good job with color, sometimes it's hit or miss, but her cuts are really sloppy. I'm a pretty chill person so whatever, because I figure it'll grow out. In one and a half years, I've only asked her to redo my hair once because it was literally like orange. On several occasions it ended up darker and more brassy than I wanted, but I told her no big deal we'll fix it next time. That's the kind of person I am. The straw that broke the camel's back - the last time I came in a month ago, I told her I wanted to go blonde for the summer. She didn't process the bleach long enough and tried to overcompensate with Ash toner. Looks bad, really bad. Green bad. I left the salon darker and more brassy than when I came.And the cut was sloppy and uneven on both sides. She had clients waiting and I didn't want to say anything in front of them out of courtesy. You're welcome Regina. But when I got home I text her as politely as possible and said, girl we got to fix my hair, I wanted to go blonde. Her response was irritated, as if I had offended her. ? I scheduled headshots that I still haven't done because she said she couldn't fit me in... including all the days that she worked(!). You just don't treat clients like that. Now it's been a month - she friggin ghosted me! And left me with bad hair! I've gotten to know her personality, and I knew that if I didn't basically kiss her butt she would blow me off. When she got back I didn't hear from her. I reached out several times, only getting vague responses. Then when I told her look Regina it's been 3 weeks, I'm wearing my hair in a ponytail everyday, I need to get this fixed - finally I hear from her, but she's irritated and she writes me this long text about how she's trying to work with me. Lol. After that, no response. So basically she took 300, left me with bad hair and ruined our relationship. Oh! And then she told me to wash my hair and dish soap a couple of times. ?? No way am I doing that! Plus, she's hard to get ahold of, doesn't have an online booker, and doesn't respond via text for days... Really frustrating. And the most frustrating part is, she cancels and reschedules last minute. It doesn't really matter to me, there are plenty of hairdressers. But Fullerton is a small town then I hope word gets around about how unreliable she is. Edit: Regina, I'm a chill person, not overly emotional and I tell facts. As my all my texts show that - I was cool, way too cool to you. Do not lie about how many times you've done my hair. We have had one redo in one and a half years, while you've moved to 4 different Salons... You tell me who's got the personal problems. read more

I'm the worst client who is always asking her last minute to take me and she is so accommodating and always finds a time that works for us both! I have come to her with specific visions, as well as "please do whatever you want, just help me" demands and she has used pure magic to make my hair look amazing every single time! Regina as a stylist is very nice. She asks the right questions, actually listens, and gives her personal and professional opinion. As a first time client, she made me feel comfortable right away and enjoyed my time while getting my hair done. My cut- I have wavy/curly hair. I have always had it cut, dyed and blow dried which is nice, but I was ready to embrace my curls and wanted her opinion on it. Also, I was concerned, because I just had a baby and I am losing a lot of hair to the point that I went in with no bangs (that's how much hair I've lost). Anyhow, she complimented my curls and was excited to give me a recommended cut that would bring my curls out more AND get this, give me some bangs again! End result- I walked out with super cute shaggy bangs and my curls looking super cute and bouncy plus she also gave it a fuller look (cuz you know the hair loss thing) Oh! And what impressed me too was that she used a leave in conditioner ONLY, which to be honest, at the moment I was thinking "this is not gonna work" I was wrong! So now, i realized, i have curly hair that does not require a lot of hair product to bring out my curls! Listen, Regina knows what she is doing, gives you advice along the way and shows you how to style it so you can replicate it at home. Regina is amazing! I went for a balayage and a trim and was so happy with my hair after! The cut was great and really felt flattering with the face framing layers and the color was everything I wanted. It's really been a while since I've felt really good after getting my hair done (I only get my hair done and trimmed once a year and have real hair anxiety). And as a great icing on the cake, she is so so sweet, great to talk with, and makes you feel at home. She's also very considerate and sweet even when I was almost 30 mins late. I went in with a "balyage" gone wrong from another salon and a really bad cut. My hair was very dry and damaged. Regina was able to help get me to a better color and cut my hair. She knows how to work with my very thick and black hair, and blends the balayage well for it to look well as it grows out. The best part of her work is that my hair does not feel damaged at all! How important is it to get a stylist that can produce the same look for you over and over again? I mean, if I really love a haircut, more likely than not I will want to get it again so I can keep the look longer. I love that she is consistent with her quality in cuts and coloring so I don't get a surprise when I walk out the door. 3. She doesn't try to give me an "asian" hair cut. My worst nightmare was going into a salon and getting that asian looking haircut, like I just stepped off the plane. It doesn't work on me and why give it to me when I didn't ask for it? 4. Bonus - Regina is super nice, humble and easy to talk to. She makes your hair visit an easy experience. She only sees one client at a time, unlike busy salons where stylists try to multitask while they're waiting for your color to set in. Color and cut appointments can take a long time, so it's nice that she's 100% there for your appointment during that time so that you can get in and out as quickly as possible and not have to wait for 3 other people to get their haircut so you can get yours washed and on your way. I wanted a modern shag and researched lots of stylists on Instagram before finding Regina. I was honestly nervous since this was my first time seeing her and I was wanting a big change. She's extremely knowledgeable, especially about bleaching asian hair (no orange/brassy colors here), and her stories are interesting! Doesn't feel like you're there for hours. I don't usually write reviews, but for The service I received from Regina I just had to. First of all-- before I even received any service, I contacted Regina and addressed with her some concerns that I had with my thin hair. She contacted me almost immediately, reassuring me that if I wanted to dye my hair, she would take care of it. And I quote, "don't be afraid of the bleach, be afraid of the person with the bleach." With my worries and concern of how bleach would affect my fair hair she offered giving me a color consultation with my hair cut! As soon as I go in we address the problem with my hair. Lack of consistent hair cuts, thinning due to breakage, and product leftover from shampoo. What I needed to do was cut off about 3 inches of hair and BOY WAS I TERRIFIED. I decided to keep it together and trust Regi- she gave me her professional advice which I highly appreciated. I put my trust in her and allowed her to cut my hair to my shoulders with some layers. It looks AMAZING. It's so much healthier, cleaner, thicker, and weighs so much less. She even gave me tips on how to add volume to my hair! All I can say is WOW. I can't wait to come back to dye my hair with her! Such a caring person who truly goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with the results! Would recommend to anybody. read more

If I could give 6 stars to Regi, I would. She is a hair goddess and can do literally anything you want. Every time I come to her, I always leave in awe of my luscious new locks. She loves a challenge so don't be afraid to show her a picture of a daring new look. Because chances are she's going to go above and beyond of what you want. She's so sweet and really takes her time. Make sure to give yourself some extra time during the day for your appointment because she's definitely a perfectionist.
