My sister came to ColorByMileydy in Brea after struggling with uneven tones and damage from previous coloring. She has Asian hair, which can be difficult to lift and blend, but Mileydy truly understands how to work with dark hair safely while keeping it healthy. She transformed her hair into a soft, elegant, dimensional chocolate balayage that looks natural and expensive. The appointment took time because she focuses on hair integrity and precision, and the results were absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a balayage specialist for Asian hair in OC, she is the expert to see! read more

I can honestly say this was one of the best hair experiences I've ever had. For the first time, I truly felt listened to--not just what I wanted, but also what I didn't want. Mileydy took the time to evaluate my hair in a way that felt so thoughtful, considering my skin tone, face shape, and overall style. My color came out absolutely beautiful and so flattering, and the cut is hands down the best I've ever had. The attention to detail really amazed me. I actually found Mileydy by chance on Google and fell in love with her work on Instagram, and now I feel so lucky that I chose her. I walked out feeling heard, understood, and genuinely happy with my hair. I couldn't recommend her more. read more

I've been going to Mileydy for 13 years! She's been with me through what feels like my entire hair journey. While I don't live in the Valley anymore (where we first met), she's now in the OC! She's worth the commute, but I'm so happy she's close to me again! I hadn't seen her in a little bit because I had a baby and of course being a new mom your priorities shift. This visit she totally transformed my hair and gave me a new bout of confidence! Thank you, Mileydy! I feel so beautiful! read more

Mileydy is now located in Pasadena! I found Color by Mileydy on Yelp and reached out to her via text with my current hair and inspiration for an initial consult prior to scheduling. She was very helpful and responded to me right away! Scheduling was very convenient through her website. I was lucky and got a weekend appointment. Upon arrival, she evaluated my current hair and conditions. She was super knowledgeable and gave me an in-depth explanation of my hair condition and discussed color expectations based on my hair's natural colors. I came in wanting a low maintenance balayage and she delivered exactly that! A golden mushroom balayage! There is a parking lot in the back of the salon and tons of 2 hour street parking available! Salon is also super clean and cute. read more

I got a mushroom/ash balayage on my virgin Asian straight hair, and Mileyday absolutely nailed it. From the moment I sat in her chair, I felt like everything she said resonated with me...she really understood my hair type, what was possible, and what would look best. I trusted her completely, and not once did I feel unsure or nervous. She has so much experience and keeps it real, which I really appreciated. If you want it done right the first time, go see her. Her assistant Cindy was also amazing and attentive. They work together so well, like a perfect team. The final result turned out seamless, classy, and super elegant. I couldn't stop looking at it. Honestly, one of the best salon experiences I've ever had. read more

I think I found my girl. A little backstory, I used to get balayages for nearly 6-7 years until the last 2-3 years when I decided to go darker. But because I was still trying to figure out what I wanted, I ended up having different hair colors and styles from multiple different people. Everyone was good, but Mileydy is hands down the most knowledgeable of everyone and the first person to give me her professional opinion on what would look good on me and what color was realistic on me - all while still considering what I wanted. I appreciate her feedback and she educated me on my hair about things I didn't even know. Currently, we are in the process of prepping my hair for my wedding and I couldn't ask for a better person. Highly recommend checking her out. read more

Haven't colored my hair in 10 years! She did an amazing job making sure my hair is still healthy even after a perm!

Came to Mileydy for a balayage and it came out amazing, natural, and healthy! Definitely recommend!

So rude. She arrived late at my appointment and talked to me like I was an idiot repeating herself several times. I had talked to her over the phone, drove all the way to get my hair done and walked away without getting anything done because in her words " she was afraid" to do my hair. That's ok if you don't wanna take a client, but there is no reason to be rude and unkind. Wasted my time and was pretty much called stupid. read more

I went to Mileydy for the first time today for a balayage and was thoroughly impressed with her expertise. I came to Mileydy with a plan to just cover all my hair back to black since another salon completely butchered my "balayage" and I thought there was no other way to fix it without multiple color correcting sessions and a lot of $$$$. She presented different options to ensure I came out with something I was happy with. Instead of just resorting to dying it black, which would have made it difficult to return to a lighter shade in the future, I let her do her magic and she was able to save my hair. I wish we took before and after pictures because it's definitely a miracle to me lol. And she even managed to do it within the original appointment time with no delays! I'm so glad I chose to trust her because I'm now in love with my hair again. She is REALLY knowledgeable on dealing with Asian hair and her work speaks for itself. She explained every single process for all options and answered all my questions, without pushing anything and ultimately leaving it up to me which route I wanted to go with.
