Such a cute spot. They have pastries, beverages, and parking! I can't tell if today was special, but they also had empanadas. I was able to try the beef empanada and it comes with this herbaceous dipping sauce too. The barista was so kind. If I'm in the area, I would definitely come back.

    Açaí Bowl

This place is quickly becoming my favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Their Mocha Mexicana is on point- but their latest addition, the Açaí bowl, is next level. Would absolutely recommend!

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

Their granola is also one of the best granolas I've had at an acai place. They can get pretty busy though, expect up to a 30 minute wait on a busy day. I can tell he tries to remember every face that comes in and he was kind enough to remedy the situation today when I was waiting for it and one of the other workers didn't know it was for me and put it in the fridge. I will continue coming back to support this business! They are consistent with their bowls and smoothies too which is great!

Let's start with the good. Flavor? Solid. Peanut butter showed up like a starter, not a bench player. Ingredients were fresh, clean, and legit. Now the audit. The ratios on the large made mixing feel like a CrossFit session. I was excavating toppings only to discover a thick reserve of untouched açaí at the bottom. Structurally ambitious. Practically challenging. Professional recommendation: Order the medium. Better balance. Better blend. Less archaeological digging. The base leaned a little heavy for my personal preference -- not bad, just dense. Some people like that. I prefer flow. Now... the headline. The Staff!! 6/5. I don't hand those out casually. Friendly. Fast. Honest. Elite banter. The kind of service that makes you want to become a regular immediately. Would I go back? For the bowl? Yes. For the staff? Immediately. Rating 3.8 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown Taste: 4/5 Ingredients: 4/5 Ratios: 3/5 Service: 6/5 Vibes: 5/5 Current Status: Medium over Large Lesson Learned: Size matters. Mix wisely. -- The Açaí Guy

The store is small with decent seating, but we opted to sit outside in their little dining area. The staff are nice and prices were decent. I shared an açaí bowl and turkey sandwich with a friend and we were both so stuffed at the end! I also got a smoothie and it was very refreshing. The turkey sandwich came with a side of fruit and it was all sweet and fresh. Everything just felt so fresh and delicious and I will definitely come back!

I called yesterday and they told me he had already left for the day, and I called this morning and after a bit I was able to get ahold of him. He kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain to him what actually happened. He was rude and condescending during the call. I explained to him that when I tried to exchange the mango smoothies for an actual agua Fresca that I had actually initially ordered and paid for, that his employee took them and refunded me before he explained to me that he was going to refund me. I was trying to exchange 2 of the 3 I had bought and paid for. But the employee took them and tossed them into the trash behind the counter before he told me he wouldn't sell me anything else and kicked me out. At the same time, my son was outside with the drink he decided to keep and we didn't try to exchange. When the employee kicked me out I told him I was trying to buy others, but he wouldn't let me, told me to get out, so I left and told him I'd be leaving a review. For some reason he refunded me all 3 aguas ($15). I never asked for any of that, he just did it. It seemed that the owner and the employee both had an issue with the fact that my son kept the drink that he had outside. I'm really not sure what they expected me to do after I was kicked out. Did they want me to take it from him and throw it away? This has all been a very strange set of interactions. Luckily Señor Mangos and Anakin's aren't too far away. I can head there and order sugarless agua frescas and have never had an issue the dozens of times we've been there, either with the service of the taste. They are delicious and always so kind. If I were you, I'd steer clear of this place and go elsewhere.

I placed an order ahead of time and showed up about 25 minutes later thinking it would be ready. When I checked in, a younger employee told me it would be another 10 minutes. Annoying, but okay. The parking situation around here is already a nightmare, so I really wasn't thrilled about having to stand around waiting even longer. Well, those 10 minutes turned into 25. During that time, I watched multiple people walk in, place orders after I had already checked in, and receive their food before me. The crazy part? It wasn't even busy. There was no line out the door, no rush, no obvious reason for such a ridiculous delay. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.
