Stumbled upon this spot while walking around the neighborhood and I'm so glad I decided to stop in. The space is super cute and surprisingly spacious, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. It clearly seems to be a popular place for working or studying. The latte was excellent, and the food options looked really good as well. I'd highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Really cute coffee spot with available street parking! I went here because I wanted to find a new place that was quiet where I could get some work done. The inside was decorated very nicely and gave a cozy, plant, modern vibe. I really liked the ambiance upon walking in. The coffee here was pretty decent, just a bit overpriced but taking into account that I stayed for a few hours working - not bad. The workers were all very friendly and the tables were all cleaned. They do have limited outlets here, which was a little inconvenient, but overall I had a great experience and will be coming back!

Quaint and earthy shop in Normal Heights with a chill vibe that seems perfect for a study session or hangout with friends. I tried the beef sandwich on gluten free bread. The bread was delicious and didn't fall apart which is extra special for gluten free bread. Overall the sandwich left something to be desired. The beef wasn't particularly flavorful and for a $16 sandwich I was disappointed in the size since I was still hungry afterwards. I appreciate all the allergen friendly menu items but this one didn't quite hit the mark for me.

Specialty coffee shop with emphasis on cacao and alternative caffeinated drinks. Great for vegans and those with eclectic palates. Not your normal coffee shop but great for those looking for earthy flavors and hard to get chaga teas. It's not for everyone's palate, but great to try! I feel like I'm in Bali walking into this shop. Great place to chill and be in your vibes. My recommendations Adaptogen cacao

Cute coffee/elixer shop, stopped in after yoga down the block on a Sunday morning. There were a lot of people hanging out inside, lots of places to sit. When I left I think I also saw a whole backyard/patio area. Got a espresso latte with the maple vanilla syrup which was perfect and not too sweet. Also pretty decent price even with almond milk and the syrup!

Have you ever walked into a space and instantly fell in love? I will this exactly what happened. We were greeted by a beautiful smile behind the counter. She ordered everything she suggested: Lox toast and Hot Cacao Flight with the homemade marshmallows. Interior was decorated so creatively. I just wanted to grab my laptop and work there all day. We opted for an outdoor table for sunshine and fresh air. The Cacao Flight was delivered within 5 minutes and the Lox toast followed shortly after. Since the flight was piping hot, we started with the toast. The crusty bread was perfect. The ratio of Lox was to bread was on point. After we devoured the toast we sipped on the Cacao flight. I love how each was so different. My favorite was the Moonlight which was on the bitter side. My friend liked the Aphrodisiac. That honey marshmallow elevated the experience. What I loved most about the flight was it wasn't sweet. I tend to not order hot cocoa because of how sugary it tends to be. We really enjoy everything about this place. Great vibes all around. Definitely returning soon and regularly!

Absolutely cute spot. Everything about here screams calming, good energy, healing with a splash of hippie. It's a spot I would come back to work and vibe out at. It's on the corner of Adams so lots of foot traffic but I came on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and it was only a quarter full with people working, chatting, and even one person taking a nap on the sofa. There's a back patio area if you prefer to soak up the sun. There's also a small table in the window seal. Tons of plants draped all over the place. Some are decoration and some are for sale. The front counter is right there as you enter and the menu is a little off to the right. There are a handful of coffee options and I would say the majority of the items available are mood boasters or drinks to help you focus. They don't say which ones are which and so I had to ask about each one. I went with the Golden Drinking Cacao (V) which had... Ecuadorian cacao, coconut milk, ginger, turmeric, and date sugar. I thought about adding a shot of espresso but decided not to. I think the drink was interesting. A little bitter because of the cacao but the other notes came through clearly. Overall, didn't really hit but also I was in the mood for caffeine so I was bound to be disappointed. Although I think the drink was meh (mostly because I was there for caffeine) I absolutely would come back because the vibes were off the charts. Can't wait for my next work from home day so I can cozy on up here

We tried the cacao tasting flight and tried each of their flavors: aphrodisiac cacao, adaptogen, cacao, golden cacao, mind + body cacao, moon balance cacao, and Mexican sol cacao. I added marshmallows, which was homemade, for an extra charge. My favorite was the aphrodisiac, which had cacao from Ecuador, dates, maca, and damiana. It was rich and not too sweet. This is such a cozy shop- I'll have to come back to try some of their savory offerings.

I was so impressed the moment I walked into Maya Moon. The space is warm, welcoming, and cozy. I love the aesthetic of the place. The friendly workers match its chill vibe. The cacao is amazing. Food is fresh. I ordered the frozen hot chocolate. It's super rich, sweet, but not too sweet. I loved it. I also got to try a sample of soul club and mind + body. Both were tasty. I'd order those drinks again. My mind felt so clear and focused after. They definitely use high quality cacao here & have created great drinks from them. I'll have to come back to try their desserts! There's seating outside and inside. I came on a holiday and most seats were taken inside. So I sat at the bar. Loved getting to chat with the baristas during my visit. This is an awesome place work, study, and chill.

It's not everyday you find a cafe specializing in cacao drinks that stays open late. I love that you can get a decadent, caffeine-free option for when you want to get out of the house and chat in the evening after dinner. I had the mind + body cacao and added marshmallows. Marshmallows are the *fancy* kind and it's a whopping $2 per order, and the cacao drinks are $8 so it is a spendy little treat. But the cacao is high quality and rich, basically a non-sweet drinking chocolate. I also do think the honey marshmallows are worth it. My husband had the aphrodisiac cacao, and honestly I preferred his so much more over mine. I normally like floral flavors, but the lavender was way too overwhelming in the mind + body drink and it had a gritty texture. I think florals in food should be more balanced and not so in-your-face. The aphrodisiac cacao is pleasant all the way through. The cafe is actually pretty big, and at night they bring candles over to the tables and dim the lights, which was nice. I would most likely revisit.

Maya Moon is a unique gem in San Diego, offering energizing and mood boosting cacao drinks in addition to yummy food and treats. Their drinking chocolate goes far beyond the hot cacao you grew up with, it has less sugar and it's much healthier for you. The service is always lovely and they have a big outdoor patio to hang out in as well. The cafe makes me feel like I'm at a travelers cafe it Guatemala, I love it. The steak sandwich was a standout for us!

Amazing vibes. I feel so zen in here due to the skylight, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, and plethora of plants. My go to is a matcha latte with a shot of espresso or if I'm hungry, the lox toast. Love love love this place!!! I am a regular.

Paid $43 for two tiny sandwiches and a smaller than average drink. Was courteous enough to leave a tip and my total was $50. Come here only if you're okay with being financially extorted for mediocre drinks and dissatisfying overpriced food. Complete mistake wandering in here.

The price is $20 + $0.51 booking fee per adult (ages 16+) for a one-hour session. [Experience]: Our party checked in at the front counter and hung out in the waiting area. The waiting area sells various pug merchandise and also has a touchscreen pinball machine. There is a unisex restroom available. Any pug wearing a pink bandana is available for adoption. Each of us received few free treats to start, but additional treats like pupccino (a small pup cup), sausage treats, or fruit cups are available for purchase. The staff was friendly and was playing fun & energetic background music during the pug session. Our party didn't stay for the entire hour and left around the 45-minute mark because we had a dinner plan afterward. [Conclusion]: Our party had fun playing with the pugs and took plenty of photos. It was a fun and Instagrammable experience & I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who's visiting the Escondido area.

Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

Most cafes/lounges are in shopping centers and do not have the luxury of such a cool feature. I love how secure the facility is by having multiple doors to keep the cats safe and from getting outside. You can tell that the owners carefully thought out their space and the thing I appreciate the most is that you do not smell the litter boxes. I have been to a couple of cafes that smelled horribly and this is coming from someone that not only has a cat sanctuary in ATX, but I have had cats my entire life and you never smell litter box in my home or in my facility. Whiskers and Wine is a great place to unwind and spend time with beautiful kitties in need of a fur-ever home. I understand that some people do not get the concept of a cat cafe, but in order for them to provide such an incredible service to animals, they still have to pay the bills to house and feed the cats. The biggest take away is that cage free facilities are much better for the cats than when they are kept in cages at the local shelter or other animal rescues. Thank you for a great time and for all that you do to help cats in need!
