[Parking]: Free private parking lot with plenty of available spots. [Reservation & Price]: Our party booked an advanced one-hour reservation session on the website from 4 PM to 5 PM on a Saturday. The price is $20 + $0.51 booking fee per adult (ages 16+) for a one-hour session. [Experience]: Our party checked in at the front counter and hung out in the waiting area. The waiting area sells various pug merchandise and also has a touchscreen pinball machine. There is a unisex restroom available. Once our party stepped into a separate pink & clean room, the staff went over instructions on how to handle the pugs. Visitors are allowed to pick up the pugs but cannot carry them while standing. Any pug wearing a pink bandana is available for adoption. Each of us received few free treats to start, but additional treats like pupccino (a small pup cup), sausage treats, or fruit cups are available for purchase. The staff was friendly and was playing fun & energetic background music during the pug session. Our party didn't stay for the entire hour and left around the 45-minute mark because we had a dinner plan afterward. [Conclusion]: Our party had fun playing with the pugs and took plenty of photos. What an amazing experience! My 10 year old is obsessed with pugs and has been looking forward to this trip for months. It was everything he ever hoped for. We did 2 sessions across 2 different days and both had 16 pugs to interact with. The first session happened to be just our family of 5 so we got lots of education from the great staff who helped with training tricks. The second was with 10 other people but plenty of pugs to go around! The run out was the best part. Getting the treats and the pugacinno are a must and really add to the experience. We do wish they had some more merchandise and pug items in the gift shop to commemorate the trip. read more

Had a pugerful (wonderful) time! So many resident pugs and a few adoptable ones. We did the adult pug experience, but we did see the puppies from the other side of the glass. The staff really cares for them. Some pugs know tricks and lovee to cuddle. The hour flew by really fast. They do ask if you want to purchase treats during the sessions at around 4$ per cup which isnt bad, but they also mentioned free training treats they gave to us at beginning of the session, we did not receive/give these to the dogs. PUGS!!! My favorite breed ever. I've always dreamed of owning a pug (and hopefully I will soon). So my sis knew this was a must-visit for my bachelorette weekend. Reserving your spot was smooth and easy via their website. It's $30 per person and you get one hour to mingle, pet, snuggle and even feed treats (at a small additional fee) to these adorable adult sized pugs. We booked a 12pm time slot on Friday and we ended up to be the only group (4 of us total) there. It felt so special to only have just myself and my girls with a room full of adorable furry puggies..like it was a private session! One big room and there's toys you can play fetch with. I'll tell you this...these pugs are VERY food driven so they'll only be concerned what kind of food/treat you have in your hands versus what toy you are holding. There's always going to be supervision by their employees. They're all so friendly and will answer any questions you may have or help you take plenty of pics. I don't think they serve any beverages. And unfortunately the day we were there, there's no bathroom available. Yes, they'll provide hand sanitizer and wet wipes but still...it just feels better washing your hands with good ol water & soap. I was so happy to come visit Cuppa Pug in person! I had seen their Instagram posts several times after a friend showed me, and my friend in Europe had recently visited that location. Steven completely surprised me and brought me here on a recent Sunday. I was so shocked and happy! I saw staff arrive and start bringing them in. I was happy to know that they do not live at the facility itself. I have also heard that some dogs are up for adoption. We once had a Pug named Dewey, our only puppy of all the dogs we had, and he was such a treat. He was so unique, fun and full of life. We lost him in 2019 and miss him terribly. It was so nice to come here and be in Pug heaven for an hour. One of my favorite parts was seeing them bulldoze through the gate in the beginning and to watch a herd of Pugs running around the facility. They came and plopped on several laps, Steven included. They had fawn pugs, black pugs, multi colored pugs, pug mixes, and even a pug puppy! If you know Pugs, you know they like to eat, much more than a lot of breeds. So, I am pretty sure since they know the routine, they were already looking for people with food so I was not getting Pug love initially. The staff will ask if you would like to purchase a Puggachinno, sausages, or strawberries for only $3 a cup. It is limited to one cup per person, so these very hungry dogs don't over eat too much throughout the day with all the visitors. The staff also will take your payment there and bring the food to you so you don't have to leave the Pugs for a minute. As the orders started coming in, the Pugs followed the staff around like Pig-Pen's dusty cloud in the Peanuts gang! It was a crack up. So needless to say, as people were feeding them they were most likely to have the whole herd. We knew our time was coming. I ordered a cup of sausages (hot dogs) and Steven ordered a Puggachinno. We must have had about fifteen Pugs (Literally!) climbing all over us front and center, behind us, and everything. I had one climbing on my shoulder and many more pawing at me. I almost lost my cup of hot dogs at one point! Tip: I suggest wearing long sleeves. I did not and I came home with some scratches from the eager hungry pug puppies. We played around with them once everyone had their turn of donating food, and they mellowed out. They even had a mini ball pit. The staff is on top of cleaning up after the pugs, and helping with everyone during their visit. You can tell the pugs are happy and receive a great deal of care. My child loves pugs!!! We lost, due to geriatric age, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel a little over a year ago and while my kid's and I loved her and miss her immensely- my son also has adored pugs much of his life. Is it the size or maybe or the squishy face? I honestly don't know. So when I was asked me when I could make time to visit at least one or two places he'd like to go - I was on it. I made a whole day of everything for him which I know he appreciated. The facility was clean and it was apparent that all the pugs and or mixed pugs are happy, healthy, and well-kept. My friend loves pugs and I thought I'd surprise her for her birthday with a visit to our first Pug Cafe in San Diego! To those with other pugs or dogs, this place does give discount if you bring your own. The owner of this place owns all the pugs and these pugs are well socialized and taken care of. Before entering in there's an area of where you can purchase drinks/snacks. I didn't get a chance to ask what they had because the entrance of check in was crowded with people. Once our check in time starts, we just confirm our names. There wasn't too much people so it seemed like everyone got their chance to interact with the dogs. Also there's also a smaller area where you get to meet and socialize with the dogs/puppies privately but this is a different price range. Before entering the space, we're given instructions of how to interact with the dogs and a safe way to do so. I like how the space is large enough for the dogs to run around. So you can just sit anywhere and hope the dogs will want to come to you. Once we were seated in a spot we like, we were all given tiny pieces of carrots for when the dogs get released to the open space. These dogs are very much food driven, so highly suggest ordering some pup snacks or pup cup to attract them even more. One thing we didn't get to do was purchase the pup snacks/cup. They do give us an option while inside if we wanted to purchase but we skipped it. Some would still approach you though but don't expect them to stay chilling with you long. There were a few that were very chill, could be because they might've had enough interaction before and just wanted to relax. And if there was a dog you wanted to hold, the owner and staffs would be gladly kind enough to get the dog for you to hold and play with. But again just don't expect the dogs to want to stay still for long. Lol. However you can move around to find a better spot to attract them. Such a cute spot for pug/dog lovers! I'm in puggie paradise!!! :) I got to live out my puggie paradise dream when I visited Cuppa Pug. I first found out about this place on TikTok, and I was going to go to SoCal for my solo trip so I made it a point to come visit here. Booking was very easy online on their website. There were plenty of pugs to interact with the small group that I was in with during my time slot which I chose 4pm, if I remember correctly. The pugs were super cute, and get very energetic when there is food present. My favorite pug was Pickles as he was such a sweet and cuddly baby. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking was pretty easy as there is a parking lot outside the building. I absolutely love the pink decor and the different items in the room. We got to see a puggie riding the beautiful car. We found this gym on Instagram earlier this year. It has been on our bucket list. We finally had some time during a fall break, and drove down to the area to experience. Scheduling was pretty easy and done. Online ahead of time, I really enjoy that you can see how many people are going to be in the group, so you can try to be in a group with a lot of people, so it's very social. Or you can try and be with almost no Buddy. The staff was really professional, polite, and really passionate about what they do. The owners were present and also equally kind and helpful. They're working on really making the café aspect of it bigger parts, however, it wasn't really set up so much when we were there. We definitely plan to return again and have told so many people about this place. Their mission is really fantastic and I wish them continued success. read more

Very nice people and made my time there extra enjoyable! It was very clean (as clean as it gets) and well managed. It was an hour for $30 and at 45 minutes they offer treats for the pugs ranging from $2-4. Make sure to book online ahead of time! I booked the day of but thats because I chose a day and time with a bunch of open slots. Easy parking as there's a parking lot right next to the building. This was an amazingly cute experience. After perusing things to do in the San Diego area for a quick day trip I recalled seeing Cuppa Pug opening (the first in America) and decided to make reservations for my wife and myself for opening. For 12 years we had a pug and he was a barrel of fun. Quirky personality, a ball of energy and that cute portly body and snorting. Unfortunately for us he passed away several years back in 2019 but I wanted to be able to be present with this fun loving breed again and Cuppa Pug was just the cure for that. These pugs are well cared for and so happy to be in this setting. As we pulled in early after our nearly 2 hour drive from Anaheim and sat in the lot we watched as the staff carried the pugs into the building prior to opening and each was as adorable as the last. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout and you will be presented the opportunity to purchase a small pup cup or other assorted treats such as sausages or strawberries for the grumble of pugs that await. As soon as these are in your hand you are the center of attention and the star of the party as the 20ish pugs swarm you like crazy and its a cool experience. Due to this, I do recommend wearing long sleeves so you are not clawed as they are extremely happy and hyper during this as expected and its always just better t be safe. The experience to me was fun and worth the price and seeing the look on my wife's face when we pulled in and she realized where my surprise day trip was made it all the better. We will definitely tell our friends with pugs about this place and will for sure be back again down the line. I wish them great and continued success here in Escondido and as they begin to open their other new locations in Texas and Las Vegas. This is the place to go for a pug pick me up! Recently losing my two pugs my husband and I attended Cupid pug while vacationing in San Diego. He said it was like attending a pug concert. CuppaPug was definitely a cute and fun experience--being around so many pugs is hard not to enjoy. However, I do think the overall experience could be improved. It felt overcrowded, and limiting the number of guests per session would make it much more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, but about 10 minutes of the session was spent explaining rules and instructions, which I think should be done before the one-hour time starts. The same goes for taking snack orders for the dogs--it cuts into the time you're actually there to interact with them. The dogs are very treat-driven, which makes sense, but it also means if you don't buy treats, they're less likely to stay with you and instead gravitate toward others who have them. On top of that, a staff member (possibly the owner or manager) was walking around shaking treats to move the dogs from person to person, which made the interactions feel less natural. At the end, there was no warning that time was almost up--no "5-minute notice." The door was simply opened, the dogs were taken away, and the session ended abruptly. Overall, while it was a fun idea and the pugs are adorable, the experience didn't quite feel worth the price. read more

You pay for entry for 1 hour. $15 if you bring a dog, $30 if no dog and student discount if you have. Then when you are inside, you can buy soda drinks for humans, I think there is no coffee. It cost $4 for sausage for the dogs, $2 puppaccino, and they give you carrot for free included in your entry. There was one more treat, I forgot what you can buy. The number of pugs appearing varies but today it was 15 pugs on Saturday at 4pm. I didn't expect 25-30 humans to be there. The pugs were so nice and friendly. The space itself? Big, shiny, and new. We booked the first slot of the day, which, fun fact, means maximum pug chaos. It was really cute how the owners knew each of their names and quirks. One of the workers even took the time to tell us the history and fun facts about some of the pugs, which made the whole experience feel even more personal and special. So. Much. Fun! We were in the first time slot to play with the puppies. Lots of bouncing, leaping, rolling, chewing on shoelaces, face kisses, tackling each other, wonderful chaos. There were six adults mostly sitting the floor. Then six 15 week old puppies played around and on us for an hour. We basically laughed the whole time. The staff is very hands-on making sure no puppies played too hard and cleaning up the occasional mess. The pups were very well behaved, mostly potty trained and beyond adorable. While the pugs are cute and the family enjoyed interacting with them, the website is rather misleading. The location in San Diego does not have food or drinks when we went. It was only to see the pugs and you paid $30 which is quite a lot for one hour. While the dogs come around, they seem to like one of the male handlers's more and they tended to follow him, so it made it hard to interact with all the pugs. I like that they help rescues and they're helping the dogs, but hopefully they will expand their services because what's misleading as I said, as we thought there would be coffee and things we could buy when we went and they had nothing. read more
