Took a drive and wanted to grab a coffee I found this place , super cute inside and clean. They recommended the homemade blueberry scone with the jelly . 1000/10 recommend! Cookie butter ice latte was also good with a fresh baked cookie on the lid which I loved . The guava danish was tasty, though it had a little too much guava filling for my liking. I also tried the cinnamon latte. It was good, but next time I'd probably try a different coffee. The mango cake pastry wasn't for me since it was a bit too sweet. Seating is limited, with mostly two-person tables and a few couches. I absolutely love this place. Anytime I'm in the area, this is my go to for quality coffee and a great breakfast sandwich. I love trying all of their lattes, great flavor and the sweet doesn't over power the taste of the actual coffee. I love that balance. I'm in love with the croissant breakfast sandwich, the aioli in it is amazing and the croissant itself is the best I've had. I tried the breakfast burrito and it was good, but I preferred the croissant sandwich over it. I tend to not like not knowing that but I had the flat white. It tasted very good, possibly Colombian blend of sorts. I had been wanting to try this coffee shop for quite a while, and every time I was in the area, I somehow forgot to stop by. I finally made it in, and unfortunately, it wasn't what I had hoped for. I ordered a Honey Lavender Iced Latte, but I couldn't taste any lavender flavor at all. My husband also wasn't a fan of his drink. Sadly, neither of us really enjoyed our coffees, and I don't think it's a place I would go out of my way to revisit. The coffee shop itself is small and in a crowdedshopping center. While the pastries looked delicious, I don't really remember much about the customer service--it just wasn't particularly memorable. First time visiting this restaurant with a group of friends yesterday. Right off the bat there is very limited seating at this shop. The seating and tables were also not maintained, there were cups and dishes and food debris all over several of the tables and no customers were at them. The shop wasn't very busy so I'm not sure why these table weren't cleaned up. We had a group of 6 total, and we had to move tables and chairs together in order for us to sit together. There is only one large table and of course it was already taken. The other areas with couches had such low tables at them that there was no way you could dine there comfortably. We ordered a few different items off the menu but my absolute favorite was the breakfast croissant. I highly recommend it. It had great flavor, it was a complete breakfast and was fresh. The small side of cantaloupe was like a child's portion though. We did go back and order more because we were still hungry so if you're a big eater this place can get pricey. I ordered the toffee decaf iced latte as it was recommended by my friend, but it definitely didn't taste like decaf. It was still super strong so just a heads up if that is something you would be interested in. Overall this place wasn't bad, if you're looking to eat somewhere as a group of 4 or more I'd recommend you go elsewhere. read more

I've brought a few people to Mika's, and everyone has loved it so far! I really dig the vibes of the cafe. The atmosphere is great and while busy, the shop never seems to get too loud or dirty. The food is amazing!! Drinks are just okay, but I'm insanely picky so most people should end up liking them. The people I brought here have loved their drinks (usually lattes of some sort). Service is great and the staff have all been super patient and knowledgable both times I stopped by. Parking is okay. I despise the Nordahl Marketplace parking lot with every fiber of my being but Mika's is def worth it! read more

My wife and I tried Mika's for the first time yesterday and it didn't disappoint. We tried one of their omelettes, along with a prosciutto and burrata on toast. Everything was fresh, along with the fruit it came with. The lattes were equally delicious, and the service was exceptional. The guy Adrian was super nice, and gave me a heads up to try the scones and cookies, which we brought home for later. They were incredible! I am a regular/frequent visitor here..there are many reasons, first and foremost being the great healthy and scrumptious breakfast and lunch options besides its plethora of amazing coffee and tea choices... What makes it stands out to me is the cute space they created with fresh flowers on each table, variety of board games, and ample seating. However, the avocado toast was lacking seasoning and flavor in my personal opinion. I wouldn't recommend the matcha to anyone. It tasted like green milk, which we were kindly given an extra shot of matcha powder for free but it just wasn't good. After a meeting at City Hall, I came here with my mom, who had a doctor's appointment just down the road. We stopped in for lunch and it ended up being the most pleasant surprise. We also shared a pitaya bowl, which was bright, refreshing, and packed with fruit, granola, coconut, and texture. Not overly sweet, just right. What stood out most? The staff. This cafe is hidden away in the Nordahl marketplace off Center Dr! It is small, but has both indoor and outdoor seating. I came here to get some work done and try the matcha. The inside is relaxing as they have couches and tables available. They have fast wifi and the service is friendly. They will bring you your order to the table. I'm so delighted my coworkers and I stumbled upon this place when we craved an avocado toast. Then to find out its near my house was just the cherry on top. Our third, on the other hand, was initially brought the wrong order. I was already half way done when she finally got her smoked salmon avocado toast. It looked amazing and with a generous amount of smoked salmon. By the time we finished, she still hadn't received her pistachio croissant and had to remind them about it. At this point she got her to go. I on the other hand, got my food first and it was absolutely delicious! I'm not a fan of tajin so I didn't eat the melon but the small salad that came with my toast was great. The toast itself was large and filling. The pistachio croissant was a surprise. We didn't expect this cream filled monstrosity. But, boy, am I glad that is what came out. I was already bursting at the seams however, I had to try it and once I started, I couldn't stop. It was so good. I was so impressed with this place that the next day I insisted on my husband and I going there. As for the space itself, I love that there is a small shelving unit filled with games and toys giving both children and adults games to play. I think adds an extra touch of fun. When we were there, it was clearly busy and the tables were not getting cleared. When we sat down, our table was a bit sticky. My initial thought when walking in was HOW CUTE! They definitely have very festive holiday decor in there at the moment. Their staff is also very sweet and helpful! I was accompanied by my friend, instead of just getting coffee we decided to sit down and have breakfast as well. I would suggest coming here with one or two other people max, the space is not huge and the tables fit about two people comfortably. They do have a full kitchen, which is a nice change from the ordinary coffee shop where they can only offer premade meals that they just heat up. They also have a variety of baked goods off to the side that look delicious. I will have to snag something from there next time. The music selection is perfect too. Contemporary, but not annoying, right volume and feel for the place - you could definitely get work done or carry on a normal conversation. There were quite a few customers, yet voices were low and respectful of others. We had pastries today (creme brûlée croissant and banana nut muffin). Both were delicious, moist, flavorful and not overly sweet. And now the coffee! We had a latte and Americano. Both were excellent! Strong, complex flavors on the dark roast of the espresso balanced perfectly with the milk in the latte. Beautiful latte art to top it off. I seriously was reluctant to stir the design away. I can definitely see why this place has five stars. The service was amazing, friendly staff who helped me pick a drink. They recommended a few drinks and I decided on the Mexican mocha. Lattes were beautiful, creamy and the perfect texture. The breakfast was also amazing, very fresh and we ate everything. The portions were perfect and I left very satisfied. They have couches, some small tables, a big table and some games that can be played. This would be a great place to study or just meet up with friends. My only regret is not trying a scone because they looked delicious. I live about 45 minutes away from this place and was only in the area to do a few things but if I'm ever back in San Marcos I will definitely stop here again.
