This was my second experience at a different Copa Vida location. An employee recommended the chai latte over the matcha latte and even gave me a sample to taste...it was GOOD. Apparently they brew the leaves overnight and it's not from concentrate/syrup. The chai is perfectly spiced and lightly sweetened- totally recommend. My boyfriend got a vanilla latte and it was pretty watered down- not creamy at all. Apparently they make their vanilla and lavender in-house, which is a nice touch. This place is fantastic! My wife and I come here regularly for our weekly check-ins to discuss business ideas and plan our week. The atmosphere is both comfortable and spacious, with high ceilings that create an open, airy feeling. The combination of natural light streaming through the windows and the thoughtfully placed indoor lighting adds to the relaxing vibe. For those who prefer to sit outside, there's a nice awning-covered area, and inside, there are plenty of outlets for charging devices. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly and skilled. We love the food, but the coffee is exceptional! The staff already knows us, and the baristas are always on point with their craft. There's one barista who makes my cold brew with sweet foam, and even though I've been told he makes the sweet foam incorrectly, I actually love how much sweeter it is! He often makes a bit of extra sweet foam, which I think is unintentional, but he always shares it with us, which we appreciate. We look forward to our Mondays and/or Tuesdays off so we can come here. Convenient cause it's next to my college but the lattes aren't for me. Perhaps I'll try something different next time as I got an iced mocha and it was not my favorite. What sold me for Copa Vida was that they had Colombian beans for sale and when you are married to a Colombian who loves coffee, you must get her her beans. Also tried the bacon breakfast burrito and it was really tasty. I feel like places try to cheat you when it comes to those but this burrito was a nice size, hearty and had plenty of bacon in it. I met a dear friend here for some much needed girl chit-chatting time and it was unusually quiet. I'm sure this place is bustling during the week when CSUSM students flock to it, but on a quiet Saturday morning it was the perfect place to catch up. I can't comment on the prices since I was treated to a delish decaf pumpkin latte. I loved the little design on top! So cute! I think the order was comparable to the prices at Sbux (two drinks and one pastry). One of the better items they offer is a Shakerato, which is an Italian-style shaken espresso. The staff are as nice as can be expected, and interior design of the place is very pretty. I got a mocha and it was 6.50 alright cool I see some guys outside with for here cups that look like a normal size and I even see a branded cup for hot drinks next to the register next to the cold ones.
