I ordered what was listed as a *sourdough bagel* through Uber Eats, but what I received was just sourdough bread with cream cheese. Thinking it was a simple mistake, I called to clarify--only to be told that they *don't actually carry sourdough bagels*, and that selecting the "sourdough" option just means they substitute it with bread. This is misleading and not indicated anywhere on the Uber Eats menu. If sourdough bagels aren't available, they shouldn't be listed as an option at all. Duh?

I love the decor with their brick walls and plants coming down the walls. Service was good. I ordered at the register and was given a number to take to a table of our choosing. We had to wait for the drink to be called to grab from the counter and they brought the food to us when it was ready. I tried their mocha with a bagel. Bagel was good however I felt it needed something extra for flavor or more bacon. Their avocado toasts looked really good but they only have an in-house made sourdough bread and I'm not a fan or sourdough. Overall a good experience having breakfast here with friends.

My avocado toast was delicious and latte like heaven. I love coming to Kettle on Grand. Service is great too and they really took the time to make the interior feel inviting.

Seasonal Turkey Cranberry sandwich + Pumpkin Pie Latte

I'm on a mission to try all pumpkin lattes lol. This one was good and rich. I would definitely get it again. The sandwich was different! Homemade bread and it shows! The cranberry was a great addition. I wish there was more in it! I wanted it in every bite. It was definitely the star of the show. It gets really busy here so you know it's a neighborhood favorite. A little warm inside but everyone was enjoying coffee and working on their laptops! It wasn't too loud and no music in the background. Come have a snack and get some work done! Enjoy baby!

Stumbled upon this cute coffee shop while on a trip to Downtown Escondido with my family! They have a great selection of lattes and breakfast/brunch sandwiches. The space itself is really cute, hip, and spacious, too. During my trip, I got the Horchata latte, which was great, the B-toast with avocado, bacon, and egg, and my dad got the sausage and bacon bagel. Everything tasted delicious and the place itself seemed like a cute community gathering spot. Wish I lived closer!

My avocado toast was so delicious. Service was quick, lot of seating options, there is construction going around so may have to park around the block. Will definitely come back if I'm around the area

A go to spot for coffee in Escondido. Food and coffee are solid. I also love the DJ sets they host every month, such a vibe.

    Rock hard açaí

I got the EMC and I added avocado and the cook put a dark brown avocado, and my açai bowl was literally liquid and I kindly let the cashier know that I wasn't happy with either my sandwich or my açai. I only wanted a refund on the açai because I ate the sandwich. They remade my açai, but it was rock hard and with granola when I didn't even want granola I had no option for a refund, and I really felt unheard. My kindness was taken advantage of today. I spent the worst $53 of my life and I tipped and this is how I get discarded. I am upset because I was kind and did not act entitled to a small mistake by the kitchen, but maybe I should've acted mean so I would've at least been taken seriously.

    BLT! Try this :)

Not sure what happened late yesterday with the sandwiches. They were soaking wet on the bottom of each one. Even the one without lettuce and tomato. I believe they add dressing to their sandwiches but it's never been an issue. Each sandwich also didn't have the requested extra mayo (maybe they put extra dressing instead?). I called today to ask if there were any issues with other sandwiches and the manager said no. He said i should have ordered the sandwiches with dressing on the side next time and he couldn't offer to remake them for a future visit (we live 30 min away so it's a far drive). So there's two 12inch uneaten sandwiches oh well. We've ordered many times from them and the staff has always been amazing. Maybe it was placing the order late in day on Easter Sunday but bummer the manager today was dismissive and put blame on us.

When I opened the package I had first thought they got the order wrong and gave me a vegetarian because I saw no meat. I had to open the sandwich and dig through to find the one lame piece of turkey (I didn't check but I hoped the other side of the sandwich had one too). I could barely tell there was cheese on it as the cheese was melted to the turkey which is ok, but I should have to dig that much to check for cheese, also, the avocado is a "spread", not real avocado, I mean, even SUBWAY uses REAL AVOCADOS. The last time I had jimmy johns was when I lived in Oregon 12 years ago, and that sandwich was awesome. Times have changed man and maybe even because it's SoCal, which has made JJs a HUGE disappointment. Also from viewing other reviews, some people agreed about the weakness of amount of meat. On the flip side many people like their sandwiches which must be people that just like to go along with the Joneses or haven't ever had a REAL sandwich. One person even commented that they like the large amount of lettuce in the sandwich?...........LETTUCE??????? Stupid girl, people don't pay for the lettuce, they pay for the good stuff in their sandwich like meat and cheese. The #9 is not worth the $12 it's priced at...for one (or two) pieces of turkey and some diluted-down avocado? NOPE, NO WAY!!! It also appears as they're discouraging eating-in because from picture of the place, they used to have two four-chaired tables and now there's a big open space in the middle of the store with just two small booths and three seats along the window where the plate that covers the pole on the ground, is not screwed in so every time your foot hits it, the metal clanks and makes a loud noise in the place. The area to grab packaged condiments, utensils, napkins, straws, etc., is to the side and kinda behind the register. Like you have to walk right next to the ordering area to grab any, put that stuff where people can grab it and not make it feel like you're taking something you shouldn't be. It's just in a really odd place but it's probably because they want to regulate the amount taken (the condiments and utensils maybe I could see, but with those messy sandwiches, you REALLY need A LOT of napkins.). Are napkins really that much of a cost for your business? Anyways, they didn't have too many people working there but if they had a crowd or large order, they'd probably get so stressed. I think it's because businesses in Cali have to pay that minimum wage of like $20 for restaurants or drive thrus (I'm not sure if it's just one or both), so they adjust everything to where they don't have to hire that many people. If people just get it to go, that's less employees that have to cleanup and restock everything that's in the building. The way these franchises cut costs now, is sad. But anyways if you like or LOVE thin sandwiches lacking the amount of meat and cheese that is appropriate for a decent sandwich, keep going here. For everyone else who is wise with their money, spend it somewhere else!

Sebastian shared that their day starts at 3AM to start making the fresh bagels. (I was voting at around 11ish.) Despite their long day, they were very welcoming. After trying both, my wife made me go back and pick up a jalapeno cream cheese. All three were fantastic. The bagels, cream cheese, and the hospitality is what stood out for me. While I wish I could frequently visit this place to become a "regular customer", Napa is a little too far away. I do recommend people in the area to give this place a visit if you're looking for a bagel. It is definitely a go to spot. I did spy them making a sandwich and they also looked delicious.
