Cool and urban, clean and minimalistic coffee shop in the RSF plaza. its definitely off the bitten path, probably known only by locals because of its location. The coffee shop is located at Cielo Village plaza. The whole plaza is perched on the hill overlooking Del Dios road and Santa Fe valley preserve. Invita offers light breakfast options like chia pudding, baked goods and a few breakfast sandwiches. I believe they also serve lunch to go options. Staff was nice and polite, prices are average for the neighborhood. Large latte is $5.50 similar pricing to Starbucks but with better quality coffee :) If you are in the area, stop by and check this place out.

Excellent coffee and great ambiance. One of the best authentic Italian coffee shops in San Diego. Quality of service is top notch. I wish they closed a bit later than 2pm on Saturdays.

Mediocre coffee at premium prices. Don't even bother with their food unless you're desperate. Service and ambiance were fine.

Our friendly advice: if you're stopping by for coffee and pastries, you may want to consider getting your coffee elsewhere until the pastry quality improves.

They advertise "100% natural smoothies," which is the main reason we stopped in. We ordered a 4 berry smoothie, and what we got was basically a cup packed with ice, filled with water, and topped off with a little organic juice. It was extremely watered down and not even close to what you'd expect from a real smoothie. Normally I would say something and give them a chance to fix it, but the employee's attitude made that feel pointless. She had zero personality and seemed almost annoyed that we even ordered--like it was an inconvenience. It felt like she knew the product wasn't good and didn't care at all. Pretty frustrating overall, especially when the advertising sets a completely different expectation.

So we checked Yelp for the next best thing nearby and found the "Sunny Side Kitchen". I'm not a vegetarian, but my Vegan Panini (with a pickle slice and fresh fruit cup on the side) was wonderful. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

It's a cute, casual mom and pop breakfast/lunch joint that specializes in paninis and salads. The restaurant is tiny inside. They have a few tables for dining in but they are really close together. I would say it would be best to pick up and to go. You can order at the counter but it seems most people use the QR code on the table to order online. Our paninis were good and I enjoyed the seasoned cheese herb crunch on the sourdough but the food is overpriced. A full panini is $18-23 and comes only with a tiny sample sized cup of fruit. The drinks are $6. The panini also had minimal chicken and filling so most of my bites were of bread. For those prices, I would expect at least a decent side such as a salad or chips. Also the service is minimal where you order online, you bus your own plates, and when asked for water I get a tiny cup for dining in- so asking for tip on top of these prices (over $25 per person) is hard to justify especially in Escondido.

We tried a few, but our favorite was Paris(fruity black tea with vanilla and caramel flavors, and a hint of lemony Bergamot). One of my friends who lives in the area had been here before and had suggested it for the outing. Located in an almost hidden little shopping center in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, it had gorgeous decor, especially all decked out for the holidays. We were seated at one of the outdoor patio tables, which was very pleasant on a beautiful warm day. We all had their special Christmas high tea, which came with a generous array of food that went above and beyond a normal tea service. There was a starter soup course (roasted winter vegetable soup, very delicious), then we got a massive tower with 5 different savory items, scones, and 6 different desserts. Needlessly to say, we were beyond stuffed by the end, even after opting to take most of the desserts to go. The tea selection was very nice as well--I just opted for the English Breakfast, in keeping with my preference for picking the most coffee-like tea. Our server did an amazing job, even though it seemed like she was the only one serving the entire packed place! My friends and I had a wonderful time, and I'd love to come back again.

[Parking]: Free private parking lot with plenty of available spots. [Reservation & Price]: Our party booked an advanced one-hour reservation session on the website from 4 PM to 5 PM on a Saturday. The price is $20 + $0.51 booking fee per adult (ages 16+) for a one-hour session. [Experience]: Our party checked in at the front counter and hung out in the waiting area. The waiting area sells various pug merchandise and also has a touchscreen pinball machine. There is a unisex restroom available. Once our party stepped into a separate pink & clean room, the staff went over instructions on how to handle the pugs. Visitors are allowed to pick up the pugs but cannot carry them while standing. Any pug wearing a pink bandana is available for adoption. Each of us received few free treats to start, but additional treats like pupccino (a small pup cup), sausage treats, or fruit cups are available for purchase. The staff was friendly and was playing fun & energetic background music during the pug session. Our party didn't stay for the entire hour and left around the 45-minute mark because we had a dinner plan afterward. [Conclusion]: Our party had fun playing with the pugs and took plenty of photos. The beginning can be a bit chaotic and goofy as the pugs storm out of the entrance to the music Who Let the Dogs Out. Some of the dogs get a bit too excited and pee on something a minute or two out of the gate. Eventually things can settle down if you have the right people in your group, and they find a spot to curl up together on the different beds available or on your lap. They give you a couple treats to give the pugs, but those go quick. If you want to give them anymore you'll need to purchase them with a staff member who will offer you some options about halfway through. The group in the hour before me was having a birthday party for a toddler. I thought that was a creative idea. Another person seemed to have brought her own pug to socialize with the other pugs there. They seem like a very social breed and were very friendly. Overall a fun memorable experience for those who like dogs.
