Hours on Yelp do not reflect accurate closure. They close at 3pm, instead of the stated 2pm Monday - Friday. What a hidden GEM!! Why has this place not popped up for me whenever I look for 'coffee' or 'study spots'?! Cargo cafe is nestled in the center of the Irvine group business building and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (both shaded and not). This cafe is an excellent space to study, catch up, take business meetings, and all the above. They serve food, smoothies, coffee/tea, Matcha, and açai bowls. I had the chicken pesto sandwich, which was actually pretty good and the peanut butter cold brew cold foam, which was fantastic. The service is great, the space is very clean and there are restrooms available inside the building. Parking is validated for two hours and the view that you have is peaceful and tranquil. I thought this place was going to be better because the Tic Tok video made it seem inviting. I thought why not go check it out. It is located in Mission Valley in a big office building. Once you drive in, you need to take a ticket and get it validated. It allows you to be here for up to two hours so it's plenty of time. My Mom and I ventured out and once we got there, it was smaller than I thought . The pond next to it was nice and relaxing but we ended up eating inside. I ordered an Açaí bowl which was good but not fabulous. It was overly sweet. My Mom just ordered a bagel and tea. It is a cafe that caters to the business people that work here. Was picking something up in the office next door and stumbled upon Cafe Cargo at Center Side on a Tuesday morning, and let me tell you, it set the perfect tone for my day. The place was sparkling clean, and the vibe was chill from the moment I walked in. Old school Drake was filling the air, making it feel like the kind of place you'd want to relax at and let time slow down. A great pause to my hectic moment The staff was super friendly, which always adds a nice touch. The drink menu is posted on the wall or there are paper copies which made the process clear and straightforward. The place is located in a huge office building and they got a ton of options. Parking ain't easy. You have to pay to gain access to the lot. They've got everything from standard brews to some creative coffee-espresso blends that looked absolutely delicious. I decided to keep it simple with a cold brew, but I'm definitely eyeing those specialty drinks for next time. It's a small space with a few tables, and they also have a bunch of pastries and meals to go. It's got that cozy, low-key energy that makes you want to come back. I absolutely love this place when I visited last I got an iced latte and I thought it was absolutely perfect. The staff there are so friendly their Brazilian so I was able to practice my Portuguese. They were very nice and helpful and patient while I figured out my order since it was my first time and getting to the place is really easy. They have a two hour free parking for guests and I absolutely love the back end where they have the fountain and there's water there's food trucks. It's in a commercial building for businesses so you'll see a lot of people on their lunch if we go around noon but the place itself is cute small the staff is really friendly and the coffee is really good. Highly recommend it. It's such a little hole in the wall, you can't even you don't realize it's there when you're driving but when you look it up on TikTok or on yelp, you'll find it. read more

You get an hour of free parking in the visitor lot and Cargo Cafe can validate your parking ticket so you can stay longer if you need to :) This place is on the lower right ground level of the building and has a sleek and simple aesthetic. It being inside the business building it has the perks of being next to this manmade beautiful pond. It almost feels like you're at a resort enjoying the view and vibes! This cute pond makes it a perfect place to either sit back and relax, or to sit and study! Yes. If you're looking for a coffee shop to study, def consider this place! Lastly, but most importantly, the coffee and service are also good! Alejandro helped me out and gave me the scoop about parking validation. Ambiance at this location is fantastic! Friendly staff and great music playing inside low enough for conversation to still take place. And an outdoor space that is the ultimate escape amongst a busy workday. I got the PB solo cold brew and if you're a peanut butter lover too, you'll love it! I also got the pesto egg sandwich and added bacon and it was enough to fill me up with a little leftover for a mid morning snack break. Highly recommend this spot! This particular Cargo Cafe is located at the Centerside Building in Mission Valley. When you park in the guest parking lot, you get 1 hour free, which is more than enough time to grab and drink and bit here. I had a good cortado and a fantastic soyrizo breakfast empanada from a local vendor. The cortado was good with a rich coffee flavor and a good smoothness. It just was a little heavy on the foam, not common with a cortado. Like said, the empanada was great. The filling was quite delicious. They soyrizo was scrambled in with a very good amount of eggs, which made the empanada shine. The crust of the empanada was very good, too. It was crisp in the right places and had a good softness in the right places. The service was upbeat and friendly. They offer breakfast burritos, paninis, smoothies, and salads, too. Not to mention avocado toast and specialty seasonal beverages. There's a good amount of inside seating and a lot of outside seating. It is a very nice place. read more

This hidden gem has great indoor and outdoor seating. The salads are large and look gorgeous (I haven't tried them, just saw them in the gold section). I got an iced honey cinnamon latte and an oat milk latte. The drinks came out quickly. It's a little out of the way for me, so I'm not sure I'll come back, but I recommend it. read more

We visited it in Feb 2026 and there were no prices posted anywhere nor was there any price listing available; we were told to ask at the register when ordering, which was not a good practice. Also, we went because the outdoor pictures looked lovely and peaceful--however, be aware of significant traffic noise in the outside seating area as the I-8 is near the property. read more

They don't validate parking but if you grab and go it's free under like 10 minutes , I say that because that's how long I stayed in the parking was free. Plenty of places to sit inside and outside and it's such a cool vibe . The outside seating has a little pond which is nice to look at. They also have breakfast and lunch food items but I did not try any of those as they were out of breakfast sandwiches by the time I arrived.
