Eduardo Clark, the REEis salesman, came to our house to discuss the Trane equipment appropriate for our house in January. He followed up several times as we waited for the factory to catch up with their orders as they suffered from production and material shortages (much as other mfgs. suffered this year). Once the material became available, removing our old heat pump and air handler and installing the new equipment happened quickly and professionally. REEis followed up after the installation to make sure everything was operating as expected and answer any outstanding questions. I work in the industry, I've had a lot of experience with mechanical contractors, and I can say REEIs is definitely a cut above. I recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

I have used REEIS before and had a great experience from them on a home energy audit. However, my last experience was bad and I will not use REEIS again nor would I recommend them. I had REEIS perform the second part of a $149 service agreement for a general AC checkup. Everything was fine until the REEIS HVAC tech showed up. When he came, the system was working fine. After he left, the system was not working at all. The REEIS tech said I needed 3lbs of R22 refrigerant at $150 per pound or $450 total not including labor. I had a home warranty agreement so I let them handle it. The HVAC tech from the home warranty company fixed the problem. He said the compressor was disconnected from the start capacitor, which explains why the AC was not working. He also said the refrigerant level was fine. This was a week ago and the system still works fine. I told a manager at REEIS about this. My beef with REEIS is they never did anything to reconcile what happened. I almost spent at minimum $450 for work that was not needed, and I felt at least they should offer to come out and speak to me and let me know why the HVAC tech evaluated the problem the way he did. Instead i heard nothing. So I will not use REEIS again nor will I recommend them to anyone. I am not saying all the techs are bad, but this was not a good experience for me. read more

Dennis arrive within the promised time frame to perform our A/C maintenance. He was polite, friendly and professional. He explained what he was going to do as part of his service and then presented us with a detailed list of his findings when he was finished. He recommended a couple of items that needed attention, which I already thought there might be issues with these items. We had them perform an energy audit in 2013. They told us about all the money we would save by having them perform various services. We agreed. Well, it's been 7 years and there has been very little difference in our cooling/heating bills. ....Certainly NOT worth the $2,500+ we paid. The biggest issue is that these dopes SEALED all the vents/grills in our house (13) with some type of cement to the ductwork & walls ....and we cannot remove them. We discovered this last year when we wanted to have our air ducts cleaned & the cleaning technicians could not remove the vents/grills from the walls. The ONLY way these can be removed is to cut up the drywall and destroy the vent & ductwork to remove them, to do all 13, will cost us a couple thousand dollars for the removal and repair. I know 2 other people these clowns did this too as well. For those of you that had any work done with your air vents/grills being removed by them...check & see if you can remove them, Betcha they cemented the vents/grills like they did mine. Good luck removing them! Would I recommend them?...HELL NO. read more

I have used REEis for the last 2 years for both heating and A/C. They are extremely reliable, efficient and friendly.

If you want to throw your money down the toilet, call REEIS, bc that's exactly what you'll be doing. We spent over 7k with them, following ALL of their recommendations on our house, based upon their $99 assessment. A year later and guess what? Our bills are exactly the same. In fact, we recently had an A/C contractor at the house and not only did REEIS install everything wrong, the contractor said the amount of insulation they put in our house is nothing above standard. In addition, when they first made their recommendations to us - they did so without ever having anyone even *check* the state of our 2 A/C units. In other words, they want to mainly sell you on insulation and home upgrades bc that's where they make their money. Meanwhile, your A/C units are on the brink, making any home upgrade a moot point. PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THOSE RADIO ADS. Take it from me - call someone else - ANYONE else, for that matter. If you want to truly make your home more energy efficient - you NEED people who know what they're doing. REEIS does not. We wasted SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS - and with no benefit to us whatsoever. We are beyond upset, and have absolutely no recourse. read more

I had them do an Energy Audit at my daughter's house. They were prompt and courteous. They checked the front door for leaks and also the pressure from the air vents; even checked the HVAC, insulation in the attic and leaks in the ducts. They found the pressure coming from the vents and front door were okay , except the ducts from the HVAC were not duct taped. The auditor showed me pictures and also recommended that I should have: Seal duct around the air handler Insulation be increased to R38 Insulate the scuttle lid Install shade screens on the windows. All the work was completed in one day except for the shade screens that came a week later. We'll see what her electric bill is like in the next several months. read more

This summer my upstairs AC blew out. There was another company who came out 3 times to try and fix it but it kept tripping our circuit breaker. The company suggested I contact a company who specializes in the type of units we have, TRANE. So I called REEIS. I went with Reeis because they were Rosie on the house recommended. I went ahead and ordered their $99 dollar home energy audit. I was pleased with the home audit, they were thorough and on time. We had a very hot bedroom and they recommended that we get a new transfer box, vent and insulation in the Attic along with some other minor things for around $3,000.00. The man who came and explained the audit to me, provided me the quote and the reports said he would call me on Thursday to discuss financing and what we wanted to do. I have to this day (2 months later) not heard from him regarding those repairs. After the audit we noticed the HVAC unit that is in the house upstairs was making a loud noise. We called and asked if it was related to the audit (naturally they said no). I had a repair man come out and look at what was causing the loud noise. He removed the motor to see if that was the problem and it was not. He then climbed into the unit and looked up in the the duct work and there was a large piece of insulation (about 3ft. x 2ft) blocking half the duct work. Yureka the problem of a hot room (the issue we were quoted 3k to fix) was solved. I was so thankful that he saved me so much money. However during the climbing into the unit I noticed that the unit moved a little and that the condensation drain line was now leaking. I pointed this out the the technician and he wiggled it back into place and it seemed to do the trick. 1.5 days later on Saturday morning I woke up to find the ceiling below the unit was not soaked in water and beginning to fall down. I thought that if I called Reeis that they would take care of it for me since there was not problem before they came and after he left there was a problem. I felt that this was clearly something they caused or at the very least made worse. I called the on call Reeis desk, they send out someone, and he fixed the leak for me and said they would be calling me to fix the ceiling by Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and I heard nothing. So I called and this is where things got bad. The manager told me that the tech had told him that he notice the leak and told me that it was not properly installed and what it would cost to fix it. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I argued on the phone (a conference call with the tech and the manager) for a while when the manager told me that he believes his tech and that it is not their fault and that he thought I was not being honest. After making the argument that the customer should always be considered right ( Don't call me a layer) and that they need to fix what they broke he very reluctantly agreed to have someone come out and fix the drywall. I will not go with Reeis for any reason ever again and I do not recommend them for anything. I'm just glad that I didn't spend 3k to fix a problem that cost me in the end $175.00 to fix. read more

He explained to me the importance of having my AC serviced every year to prolong the life of it. He didn't come into my home just to sell me parts that were unnecessary but explained to me some things that would need to be cleaned/replaced in the near future. I was having issues with my a/c so I googled complies and called Reeis. They offered to come out and do an energy audit. I had never heard of this before but decided to schedule it. When the technician arrived, I had a lot of questions for him, as I was not at all familiar with an energy audit. He was very knowledgable and explained the process to me in great detail. I felt comfortable that I was in good hands. I found out that I could, I fact, save some money on my bills. If you are looking for a company that delivers on what they promise, REEis does. Several areas of our home were not cooling as well as the rest of the home even after replacing the older heat pump with a new 4 ton unit. The south end remained nearly 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. Did some research and decided to call REEis to have them check it out. Within a couple of days Eduardo came by and started the inspection inside and outside the home. The house is constructed with Integra block and known for outstanding insulation quality, dual pane windows with sunscreens where needed met every energy saving requirement. Then he spent the next 90 minutes crawling through the attic and documenting and photographing everything up there. When he returned, spent a few minutes loading everything into his laptop and proceeded to show us from air handler to the other end of what was up there. What a mess it was. All of the duct work was made of un-insulated hard pipe, terribly undersized, and individual duct work shared by several rooms. Our 4 ton unit was only able to distribute 700 cubic feet of air per minute for a unit designed to move 1,600 cfa per minute. First we paid the $99 for a complete home energy audit which will provide substantial rebates from SRP for the project. REEis replaced all of the duct work, re-insulated the attic, relocated and added several vents as well as an additional return. Every employee involved in the project was very respectful, always came when they said they would be, and cleaned up everyday. My home has never been more comfortable and we are seeing the energy savings already. Highly professional staff from front to back. Project was completed on time and on budget as promised. One more thing, during Eduardo's attic venture he took a photo of a clothes dryer vent that had been improperly installed and was kinked trapping lint. I later went up there for a look and couldn't believe what I saw. He told us not to worry, they'll fix that while they are up there and they did. Probably saved us from a potential fire. This story begins in May of 2014. We had the Energy Audit done which confirmed many of our concerns. The house needed the handler moved into the attic, a complete air duct makeover and we had all bat insulation replace. We signed on for a big job. We were told that before moving the air handler it would be completely disassembled and cleaned. " Like having a brand new system". Problems- 1. The Job took a full week which would have been fine if they would have done everything we paid for. 2. New problem. Our air handler died. Because we had so many problem we receive 3 free maintenance check-ups. They came out and stated the reason we are having this issue is because the system is so dirty, Wait. What about the like NEW!! They looked at the contract it did not state to clean the unit. In a nut shell, Energy audit "good". Don't trust what you hear. They have good Salesman Integrity "Bad" get EVERYTHING in writing. Unless you plan on going into the attic to check the work, Demand pictures of the completed tasks. We did not pay them until we got everything we paid for. This took 3 weeks. Our recommendation would be to find someone else! read more

I used Reeis for the $99 energy evaluation. At first things were very professional and impressive. Everything went downhill from there. We paid $20,000 for reconfiguring our whole ventilation system.....which really needed it. But throughout the work week, I noticed a lot of issues....such as leaving the house unlocked while no one was there including Reeis. I gave them my cell phone number too...in case they wanted to leave. I work 10 minutes away. Also, at the end of the day, they would go over what they completed that day. Several times, the work was not completed as was itemized on our bill. The reasons given were that the space in the attic was too small, so they opted out of doing parts of the job. Not sure about how others feel about this....but when the evaluator went through everything, he knew what this house looked like and the dimensions. If it was too difficult, don't bid the job. We argued with both owners for several weeks after the job was compete and finally got some of the money refunded for work not done. There were some other issues, but all got resolved with us calling and reminding them to complete jobs as paid for. The story doesn't stop there....we had a few bad rains....Reeis had had to cut the roof for additional ducting. It leaking everywhere they cut....and stained our ceilings. When we asked them to fix....their answer was...."we aren't roofers". Well, don't cut my roof....if you are not responsible for it!!! After many more weeks, they finally did refund the money we paid for a professional roofer to fix. The whole thing was very stressful on our family and life. My children were hardest effected....not really allowed to use the Reeis name in the house. I would not be surprised if my daughter put a review of them on here. If you hire Reeis.....be very careful and watch everything they do. For most people, this kind of work is too loud and dirty to stay home....but at a minimum, make them tell you the work that is completed each day and check your itemized statement. I am still not convinced that the work they did is that good. Also rethinking if the Rosie on the House list is to be trusted. read more

Last December (2011) I contacted REEis to give me an Energy Checkup. They were prompt to get back to me and schedule an appointment in order to help me get the rebates and credits that would expire at the beginning of the year. They came out, did a thorough check of my home. I mean they went in the attic, took photos to show me and blocked vents and doors to check A/C returns and checked for hot spots in the home. They then went back to the office and sent me a written evaluation on what could be done to help me save energy (cut electric bill). When I spoke to them they were not pushy or tried to over sell me anything. We discussed what I could do and also what I could't afford to do at the time, but perhaps later. I went with a revised quote and they set an appointment for the next week. These were a different crew and they were polite and efficient. They blew new insulation in my attic (25 year old home), and sealed duct work. They took pictures to show me what they had done. I had recessed lighting and they were apparently overheating with all the new insulation, so I called them and they came out and put 'tents' around all the lights in the attic and solved the problem. About a month ago, a light in a bathroom in another part of the house was doing the same thing. I also noticed when up in the attic (I use it for storage) that some of the old tape from previous attempts to fix the leaks was pretty much a mess around the return. REEis doesn't use tape but rather a type of sealant? so this was not their error. So I called Andre and he set up an appointment for someone to come out and take a look to make sure there were not leaks. The two men came, went up, took photos and fixed both the light issue (with another 'tent' and more sealant. They removed the old tape. I highly recommend REEis. Their commitment to great service was evident. I hope you have an opportunity to use them. read more

When I called, I was told that that check "really wouldn't help" and that I needed the $99 audit. Since they also said on the radio that someone could come right away, I agreed to schedule an appointment, but the scheduler could only arrange one in a few weeks. We hired REEis on 2013 to do efficiency improvements to our home. They did an ok job then even though we had to call them back since the first guy had not done a good job but they redid it and it was ok, paid north of 4K and we did not get any energy savings according to our monthly bills. Anyway, fast forward to August 2014--What a mess, horrible company, don't hire them. keep reading. Our AC failed last Tuesday (sep 2, 2014). One of our kids is disabled, in a wheelchair, so we needed to act fast. So since we had worked with REEis last summer we called them again. They sent a guy in. He told us he thought it was out of freon. He injected freon. He charged us 300 bucks for it. Then he said it was not lack of freon, your compressor is shot. Well, if you need to fix it it will be $2,700 but we will credit you the $300 bucks (now we know if the compressor is shot then an expert knows that freon won't help--we did not know this last week obviously). We say, give me tonight to think about it. Next morning my wife calls the company to tell them that we decided to go forward. The guy on the other side of the line (we think it was the owner's son) started acting in a very condescending manner, really nasty, and told us: if you had decided yesterday then we can go and replace the unit now but since you didn't then you have to go to the back of the queue, bad luck. My wife explained about my son, the wheelchair, that he sleeps downstairs, where the unit failed, the sense of urgency. The guy on the REEis side started acting in an even more nasty way, as if he was enjoying, sadistically, our suffering. We decided to go with other company. The new company promptly came the same afternoon and replaced the unit. The new company found it very strange that REEis had put freon in when the compressor was shot. They said, anybody that knows basic ac knows when the compressor is shot thus neon won't do any good. We think REEIs did this to have a captive customer having spent $300 bucks. Well, they did no know us. We are NEVER EVER going back to REEis and will make sure our extensive virtual and brick and mortar friends know about it as well as you. Now you guys know. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Purchased a new build 2 years 3 months ago. REEis was the installer. Our builder had a 2 yr warranty so we were informed that we would have to pay for labor costs only but that the parts should still be covered for 5 yrs. I have this in writing from our builder. They told me to call and verify. So that is exactly what I did. The lady on the phone looked up my address and confirmed that we would indeed have to pay for the labor but the parts were covered still. She said the earliest available appointment was a week out. I said that is fine. On the day of the appointment I had heard nothing from them and our scheduled time was 3-5pm. I called at 4pm to ensure they were still coming and the lady told me that he was on his way that he should have called me. But he didn't. The guy shows up at 4:25pm but does not get out of his car until after 4:30pm. My husband was waiting outside to greet him as we have a dog. The guy approached my husband and says " hi, in order for me to look at your house it will be $79.95" . My husband was super confused by the amazing customer greeting. He then pulled me out to talk to the man. In which he told me the same thing. Just to look at the unit it would cost $79.95 and then If anything was wrong with it we would be responsible for the parts. We told him to call back whoever told him that information because that was not what I was told. I also went inside to grab my phone and call back the office as well. To my surprise the office closed at 4:30pm. It was 4:37pm. The guy came back from his truck and said the same thing again that we would be responsible for all costs to fix the problem. We asked him to call his supervisor so we could speak to them and he told us no the office is closed. We asked if there was a cell phone that he could call because we had been waiting 1 week for the fix! He said no. Then he proceeded to say if you want to wait and call tomorrow you can do that. I am beyond disgusted and disgraced with the customer service I have received. It gets better... after he left I left a voicemail for the office to call me back and guess what. No one called me back. It appears they only want money and they don't want to provide the customer with good service. We have had to replace a motor on our unit in the first year and have a service called for the vents not blowing. Now 2 yrs 3 months after the installment we are having zoning issues. Something tells me their work is not to be trusted. Best part about this all is this same issue I am having now has happen to multiple people in my same development as I reached out on Facebook for some advice and help. People over the initial warranty just like I was had theirs replaced at no charge. Interesting to say the least. read more

I most definitely would not recommend this company to anyone! When I initially contacted this company to do a home inspection, our main concern was our daughter's bedroom. It was continually hot, and also wanted to see if we could make improvements to our home to make it more energy efficient. The first thing out of the person's mouth was asking about our a/c unit! I should have not pursued my intent from this moment forward because this statement was telling me they want to sell us an a/c unit. I should have went with my gut instinct, but also thought it would be a good idea to get everything checked out to make "possible" changes in the future. If they found our unit was efficient enough, we wouldn't replace it until it stopped working. Well, guess what? When the tech came to our home, he came unprepared and also didn't have answers to questions we had asked that would pertain to his job! My husband witnessed him sticking a probe in our ductwork and did not make the repairs. Upon his completion, I noticed our home was cold. For me, that's unusual because I'm usually warm. I checked the thermostat, and it had been lowered to 74 degrees. This is NOT what we had it set at. We left our home for approximately an hour, and noticed our home was getting warm. I checked the thermostat again. It was now reading 78 degrees and still running, so I shut the a/c unit off. I immediately tried to contact the tech. He would not answer his phone. It went straight to an answering system. I left two messages with no response. There is no where on REEis' website for emergency calls! They are in the a/c business, and don't have an emergency number?! We contacted our a/c guy. He came out immediately to inspect the potential damage (which I find coincidental upon the REEis tech's departure). Our a/c unit was running fine until this tech came in to our home, and then shortly after he left, had a problem. Our a/c guy found the a/c unit's compressor was short to ground. Basically our compressor was shot! My husband and I find this is not by coincidence this occurred! We went Sat., Sun. (Mother's Day) with no a/c! I spoke with the general manager, David. I addressed my concerns, and he arranged for a tech and himself (only upon my insistence) to come out to access the damage. When they came out, the tech made the repairs to the ductwork, but as far as the a/c failure, they took no responsibility for! They said because of the age of our unit, and the "shoddy" work of our a/c person caused this to happen?! This so-called general manager was not professional whatsoever! He was very rude! My husband finally heard enough of his belligerence, and told him to leave. I cannot believe this has happened to us! It's not a coincidence this happened and want to be reimbursed for damages incurred by his tech! He had done something, and is wiping his hands of it! The entire company is! I will be addressing my concerns to the registrar of contractors and also the BBB. We have a business ourselves and know if there is a problem, we try to rectify it. Not to anger the customer even more! We know how important it is as a business to keep in good standing with both of these agencies. This company obviously doesn't care! They DO have complaints filed against them. I wish I had done my homework before hiring this company. I never thought this would "ever" happen to us! It just shows you, you can't trust anyone! read more

Don't waste your money. Call someone else. We have more problems now than before we started with REEiS. Now one of our vents is constantly blowing fiberglass from the attic. They made a hole in our bedroom roof and repainted it, but it doesn't match so it looks like the roof had a previous leak which it has not. They also damaged the opening to the attic and never repaired it. We called them and emailed them to fix these problems and we were ignored. So we spent thousands of dollars and are no better for it. read more

Terrible sales man came to my home and did a pathetic "Energy Audit" what a sorry excuse for a salesman and company. You would think for all the money they spend advertising they would have half way decent sales reps who were knowledgable and friendly! This guy came in to my home thought he was the whole bag of chips and was a complete imbecile throughout the "Audit" totally knocking my house and being a jerk. I will not put his name in this review but I am completely in shock how bad he was and rude! I will never use REEis again and will share my experience with everyone I know. I would recommend you stay clear of this company unless you want to be insulted and lied to on your dime. I did not want him to even give me an estimate I could not believe the way he talked down to me as if I live in a shack that needed to be demolished, but he did anyway obviously I politely declined and called for a second opinion with a hands down more professional and honest company and big shocker almost half the price of REEis. Very disgusted in REEis I really had high hopes for this company, who knows maybe they have decent sales reps but the one I was sent was the worst of the worst!! read more

Excellent service. Eduardo came to our home to present options for our HVAC system. He gave us all options and explained the differences and complete costs. Absolutely no pressure to go with higher prices units. Once we decided on the right system for us, Eduardo helped with payment options. He arranged installation at our convinence. He even arranged for two crews to come out so they could complete the job in one day instead of two. Crews arrived on time, introduced themselves, and explained what they were going to do. They even told us when they were going to lunch, and were back in only 20 minutes. They completed the job in one day, as promised. One day later we had a problem with one of the units going on. Of course is was Friday, 5:00 in the afternoon. I contacted Eduardo and he sent a serviceman out to our house within 60 minutes. He quickly resolved the issue, and we were back up and running. I have been in the valley for 35 years, and have dealt with quite a few HVAC people, but have never had such good service as given by REEis HVAC and Eduardo are number one. read more

I have a new Trane Heat Pump unit, had ducts checked and sealed, and various tests performed to make sure my home is balanced and efficient. I had REEis come out to do an audit. My concern was that rooms on one side of the house were colder (winter) & hotter (summer) than the other side. It was explained that the duct work needed to be rerouted as most of the air was going to one side of the house, and also suggested putting in a return in the master bedroom. Also needed to update insulation, which I knew about. Some damage was done to the ceiling and walls, as well as them causing the light fixture from one bedroom to fall and break. They did come out and fix all with no problems, but still having problems with the cold rooms tho. After spending over $3k, I would hope this problem was taken care of. I normally set my thermostat on 68, but had to bump it up to 70 AFTER the work was complete to be comfortable in the kitchen and living room areas. I did not have the problems others did regarding contact and having them come out. But would like to have my house equally heated after spending all that money. read more
