I'm so thankful for the way this outage was handled and so glad I chose Larson Air Conditioning to this day to handle my home comfort needs. The previous contractor found some Freon oil near the compressor and told my son he needed a whole new unit. Turns out it was from a previous repair and the unit had a full charge of freon which indicated it was not low on Freon due to a leak. The service call was $80 instead of a new unit. We were so excited to get the Local Roots AC & Plumbing letter in the mail and find that our old friends, Chris & Stacia Hays are back in the HVAC business - and just in the nick of time! Our AC unit went out last Tuesday and I immediately called Local Roots. A tech was at our house within 30 minutes. Ideal, our tech, was incredibly friendly & polite and let us know our options - we could do a band-aid fix on our 16-year-old Trane, or replace it. We opted to replace it, and the AC install happened the very next day. Local Roots was right on time, and kept us updated throughout every step of the way. All the techs we worked with, Ideal, Denny, & Zak, were very knowledgeable and trustworthy. What a relief it is to have them back. Needed to replace bathroom faucet. As I tried to turn off water supply, shutoff valves old and corroded and broke and spraying water. Shut of water supply to house and called Local Roots at 11:30 AM on Friday. Was told they could get a plumber there sometime after 2 PM. Notified me at 2:30 he was on the way. Matthew arrived sometime after 3. He provided an estimate and started working. Ran into issues with water supply lines being cut too short by previous work and needed to solder on extensions. Finished up around 7 PM. And honored original estimate even though more work required he didn't know about. He was very personable and explained details as the work progressed. Another company had come out a few months ago and quoted me to recharge my systems, install surge protectors, replace my caps, and install drain line shut off switches. I had a feeling their prices were high so I gave Local Roots a call. David was professional and courteous. He explained everything he thought was needed and what he thought wasn't. They did not hesitate to help and did a phenomenal job all around. I don't leave reviews usually but I'm tired of crappy customer service and excuses. This is not a tenant situation by any means.

Then Jorge and Jeandro came in and put in the real work--about 10 hours fixing issues that dated back over 50 years.
