If you're looking for AC installation and you are looking for a Carrier brand look no more. Start off with DANETTE who was completed honest with pricing and if you have any questions she'll be the one to ask. I thoroughly had numerous quotes and salespeople coming to my house. Each salesperson would beat the other contractors quotes. Danette is the one who informed me to always look at the model numbers they are quoting you with. If you don't go with Coolzone if there's anything you read about this is read the description of work but the model number and see what they are trying to give you. These companies are trying to sell you the cheaper brand Example a new build carrier ac. It's a carrier but a new build brand, basically cheaper but if you want a true Carrier brand go off the carrier website and make sure you tell them you want the model number off the website. Anyways with Danette's information and honestly showed integrity. If you're liking Danette quotes and information then Dakota will follow up to do a walk around to see if there's any final touches before installation who is very knowledgeable and professional. No matter how expensive you buy a brand Trane Carrier or whatever the single most important thing in your investment is the INSTALLATION. The morning of installation Josh, Tom , and Tylor showed up on time and very professional and will always stop what they're doing to answer your questions. These guys showed up Approximately 730ish in the morning and stayed all the way until 730 at night to make sure the installation was superb. They would have stayed longer if I or customer wouldn't be happy. I'm a customer who likes small business contractors cuz these bigger ones have to make there money back from tv ads and commercials. I am surprised at the amount of great reviews for this company. My experience was the complete opposite. I called Cool Zone because they were authorized to perform warranty repairs on my ac system. The tech found that the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. He confirmed the unit was still under a parts warranty so my cost would be the labor and new freon that was recommended. He quoted $3,300 for 4 hours of labor! Then said if i purchased a maintenance plan that covered 2 visits for both of my units it would be cheaper at just under $3,100. What? That doesn't make sense. You Buy a service plan and pay less ?!! I expect that the "maintenance" is not intended to take care of the units but to give them 2 more opportunities to overcharge for additional services. I was told they would check availability of the compressor and his office would call me the next day. I was charged a $89 diagnostic fee. I told him his office told me the fee would be waived for repairs over $300. It was obvious to me that he had no intention of sharing this policy with me and said he would discount the repair bill after the work was done. I heard nothing more from them. It has been 2 days. After looking into his price I was told by 2 different companies that the quote was at the high end of the range for a unit that was NOT under warranty. I did not share this quote with either of these companies until after they priced the repair. Both told me the same thing and both quotes were competitive. A different factory authorized business is repairing the unit including line set cleaning and new refrigerant for $1,800. This is a predatory business overcharging people that are stuck in the AZ heat with a broken ac unit. They say a sucker is born every minute. Dont be a sucker! Stay away. read more

From the moment I called Cool Zone I knew I found the right team. I first spoke to Danet expressing my concern that one of our bedrooms was very hot. I explained we had new energy efficient windows installed. She was very knowledgeable and sympathetic. We set up an appointment to have someone look at our issue. Dakota arrived as scheduled and from the moment we meet I felt we found the right company for our AC issues. Dakota examined our unit and also the air handler,er in the attic. We advised us that the previous units air handler venting, installed by the previous homeowners, was not set up correctly. He provided us with several options to correct the issue. My husband and I never felt any sales pressure. I told Dakota that we will get another estimate after our vacations. We came home from our trip and our almost 5 year old AC unit broke for the 3rd this year. Italy was the same part another AC company installed less than 3 months prior. We were feed up with our old unit and the previous AC company that installed and serviced the unit. I called Danet and said, what do I need to do to schedule a new AC unit install. I didn't even bother getting another company's quote. This is very unlike me lol but I was that confident with Cool Zone. Danet set up the appointment. I paid the deposit online and we were set. Danet also said if they can't fix our unit to let her know and she will send out one if her technicians. How very kind and sympathetic. Byron,Tylor, and Craig arrived as scheduled. Once again I was extremely impressed with the team's professionalism, thoughtfulness and care for our home. Sadly I was sick so I didn't interact with the team. I did hear them say, several times, no thank you for your patience. I thought, how very sweet, they are concerned for us. We did have a portal AC unit going in our main room so it was too uncomfortable. The team worked for 7-9 hours. There was minimal to no noise and they were very careful with our home taking out the stuff and bringing it the new stuff. Once they were completed they turned on our new Carrier 4 ton unit. it was blowing air out at 58 or 56 degree's HALLELUJAH!!!! By the time I went to bed I think I could have gotten ice cubes from the vents. We were thrilled. We noticed the next day that our main living area was warmer than the bedroom areas. Dakota was already scheduled to come back on Monday to make any needed adjustments. He arrived, yes on time again, and explained that he just needed to adjust the dormers ( I think that's the correct term). He made the adjustment and we noticed the difference immediately. Why didn't the previous AC Company make this adjustment when we explained to them, several times, that our one bedroom was always hot. Rhetorical question . Dakota came back a few days later for the final walk thru. I had him make a few more tweaks and he hooked up the gas thingy lol. This is the best HVAC company hands down. Our 2 year old new Lennox in my newly built home just stopped cooling. Chas Roberts and a few other companies were 3 weeks out to even come check it. Cool Zone made time for us the very next morning! Due to parts delays at manufacturer it would be weeks to get the coil that failed from Lennox so we had to swap out the whole condenser with a different brand and Cool Zone got it installed within 2 days. For 3 years my AC in the summer has been horrible, warranty would come out and really never fixed the issue. this summer it became the worst, it would get to 90-97 degrees and finally I called cool zone. I believe they came out that same day. I had a couple issues with my equipment after it being installed but everyone was amazing! I'd call and they answered the phone every time and had someone come out that same day. Every single time. In the summer or in general I'd always have my AC at 68 and could barely feel anything. now I have it at 75 and it truly feels like 70 or below it's so cold and amazing. Before if I set my house at 75 I'd be sweating. I'm excited to finally have working AC and lower energy bill. I attempted to install a new thermostat on Sunday and turned off the power like the directions said but turned off to the AC, not the air handler and blew a fuse. My boyfriend found them on Yelp, have them a call and had David at my house within an hour and done in an hour, including the install of my new thermostat. I am late in writing this review. Cool Zone installed a new HVAC unit in August 2019. They gave me a great price and warranty but their service went above and beyond. They deserve 6 stars if I could. They also provided portable coolers while our unit was on order and installed. I was a Realtor for many years and dealt with many contractors, Cool Zone is one of the best from my experience. They did everything they could to make the installation as perfect as possible. Danette responds to calls quickly as does David and the contractors. I was told a tech would be to my house between 3-5pm the same day I requested the quote. I was delighted at 1:30pm when I got a call saying the tech could make it earlier. And it was not the cheapest estimate I got but how they handled my business is what got them the 5 stars. We noticed our AC in ceiling unit dripping about 4 weeks ago and Cool Zone sent Ryan out as soon our schedule allowed it, they were so flexible by sending him out after 5pm where I didn't have to take work off. A few days later we noticed our AC was dripping again and they came out that night at 7pm before our red eye flight to see what the issue was. Initially Ryan fixed the leak on the day he first came out but there was additional issues with our insulation that were not caused by them and he still send the owner out on the weekend to double check the issue. The owner was so helpful taking time to explain to us what the issue was with our AC specifically and dumbed it down to my knowledge, haha.
