The Comfort Advisor (Don) was able to explain everything and was even Abe to point out flaws with other companies and what they were offering. The crew who came out to the house was exceptionally respectful and helpful. They made sure to lay down mats to prevent dirt and even vacuumed after they were done with the job. They worked straight through til the end of the project. As with any Air Conditioning project, the cost is going to be high. I /am/ the tenant. The only disconnect was on SureTemp's end (the dishonesty and tacking on additional charges for non-existent services). SureTemp's communications (that's another review on its own) were to me (the tenant) and the property owner. The refund that was given was around $200... it should have been closer to $400 for all of the reasons and evidence outlined in my above review (that you conveniently did not address). HOMEOWNER BEWARE: We had a terribly frustrating experience with SureTemp Air Conditiong, who also happens to be a sister company of DUKES OF AIR. We feel compelled to share. The issues began with a faulty installation of TWO NEW TRANE VARIABLE SPEED 17 SEER COMPLETE AC UNITS and were compounded by their dreadful customer service and lack of follow-through. Faulty Installation: From the outset, the installation process was problematic. The technicians arrived late, and once they began, it was evident they were rushing through the job. Within several hours of completion, I noticed several issues: equipment not properly aligned, components making unusual noises, and, most troubling, a persistent malfunction that rendered the product nearly unusable. It was clear that the installation was neither thorough nor professionally executed. This resulted in the ONE unit being a lemon and replaced. I am still having problems to date, mind you this was nearly three months now since my initial installation. Moreover, I was sold on the effeciency bag of good and hopeful that my electric bill would go down, instead my electric bill has increased nearly double. Poor Customer Service: I reached out to SureTemp, Chad Hood, David Reed, Bud Williams for support, hoping they would address the issues promptly with minimal response. Unfortunately, the experience was just as disappointing as the installation. The folks were unhelpful and dismissive, often failing to provide clear answers or solutions. Calls and emails went unanswered for days, and when I did manage to get a response, it was often vague and uninformative. It felt like I was being passed from one person to another without anyone actually taking ownership of the problem. No Follow-Through: What added to my frustration was the complete lack of follow-through. Promises of follow-up visits. I was repeatedly told in the onset of my initial complaint that technician would come to fix the issues, but those appointments were either rescheduled or outright canceled without notice. This ongoing lack of commitment to resolving the problem left me feeling abandoned and undervalued as a customer. Conclusion: In summary, my experience with SureTemp was extremely disappointing. The faulty installation was just the beginning of a series of problems, with poor customer service and zero follow-through exacerbating the situation. If you value reliable service and effective customer support, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Based on my experience , SureTemp is only in the Business to do a RIP AND REPLACE and not be held accountable. I called Sure temp after my ceiling started leaking and I stuck my head in the attic. I saw my system was leaking heavily-- it appeared my pan cracked from all the condensate. After managing to get things under control a bit myself I wanted the peace of mind by having a professional come out and take a look. The tech came out, gave a diagnosis and plenty of options. We told you the unit was banging--we paid another company $83 to tell us it was the contacts. SRP audited your install and you failed to inform us about our restrictive filter, vents that reduced air flow. We weren't happy with the bang but decided to see what the auditors said--they told us the bang is a problem with Trane. We appreciate your response to our questions and your return visits just wish we had known about the bang before we bought it. Guess my issue is with Trane, not so much Sure Temp. read more

Heat pump died on a 113 degree day in Phoenix. I started shopping, and wow, talking about a disheartening experience. Just got a new Heat Pump installed- a Trane 2 stage. This company is the real deal, gave me a great quote that wasn't punitive since we're in the hottest part of the year, and was one of the few companies who fully documented the quote, the work (Pics) and the after service (rebate processing). After surfing going through the crooks that want to kill me because I was in a bind it was refreshing to find Sure Temp. One company quoted the deal TOO LOW and managed to quote a deal he couldn't do (Flores AC) Fool. Another one wanted a full $5K more for the identical setup Sure Temp just got me. Sure Temp was the only outfit with a realistic quote- and that's after going thru at least 6 people. Don was my salesperson, Damien was my install guy, he was training a new person (Unfortunately didn't get name) as well who did a great job. Thanks guys! read more

Adding to review: About 2 months after they installed a new Trane XV on the West side of my house, my 4 year old one on the East side stopped working correctly. Given the great job they did and since it was still under a Trane Parts warranty, I turned back to SureTemp to service this one that was originally installed by someone else. They were out that afternoon and diagnosed a leaking coil. As it was a Thursday and the parts wouldn't be available right away, they recharged it, at no cost to me, were back on Monday at 6:30 AM and did a very tricky installation in less than 2 hours. It is now running perfectly and in spite of the record heat, I was always comfortable in my house. This was by far the best A/C company I've worked with and I've tried several others. I am the original owner of my now 10 year old home and have always had issues with my A/C system. The builders put in a low grade system and the work was iffy at best. Over the years I've tried to improve the system as much as I could with other companies but with no success... it actually got worse. Now 10 years later I was ready for a total overhaul. New everything. I also wanted to add a mini split to my home gym in my garage for the upcoming summer. I got quotes from 4 A/C companies and Sure Temp stood out from the others and they also had the lowest price! Chad came to my house last week and spent the most time in my attic of anyone. I told him all the issues I've had and he took it very seriously and wanted to figure out how to fix it. Chad is a tall guy and my attic is small so for him to put that much effort up there was big for me. He explained all the current issues and had a plan that I felt made a lot of sense to solve everything. He even discovered a piece of the system that wasn't hooked up at all. Nobody else noticed that. Sure Temp also has a preferred partnership with Trane, which showed me they are trusted by the best. After I chose Sure Temp, Chad assured me that I would get their best team. He delivered on that promise. A few days later Antonio and his team showed up to my house on time and got right to work. The first day they installed the mini split A/C in my garage and did a great job concealing everything with the outside unit and wiring. It's extremely clean and organized. The inside unit can really push air around. This summer I'll have a nice cool gym garage! The next day Antonio and his larger crew showed up on time again and started on the attic. The removed every piece of the previous system. They worked all day and I don't think I even saw them take a break. The new parts were shiny and high end. The worked from 7am to 5pm. Antonio and his team acted like this was their house. The craftsmanship was amazing. My house is literally cleaner than when they arrived. Antonio was up in my attic for hours and was in need of rest but he stayed to make sure everything was perfect and explain everything to me and answer all my questions. He's a legend. After they left I immediately started testing out the new central A/C. I've always had issues with one room upstairs over my garage. It just never got any air from the vents. I cranked the cold and it was blowing strong air! I've never felt that in that room. I was so excited. I checked the other vents upstairs and everything was blowing way harder than the previous system! The 3rd zone they added will really help us this summer because we can give our kids more of the cold air since their rooms are warmer on the west facing side of the house. I also went up into the attic and everything was way more clean and organized than before. This may not matter to most but for me it's important. The organization and care speaks to the overall quality of the system. There's way less clutter up there and more thought was put into how to get around in the attic for future work. The attic is now something I'm proud of in my house. I usually dread summers here but this year I'm saying bring it on. I'm finally ready thanks to Sure Temp. read more

The sales person promised items not delivered, for example the air handler being in the attic, he promised the bullnose around the opening would be rebuilt the day of the installation. The team that came out did a good job installing the unit, however they informed me that they would not rebuild the bullnose but instead install cheap baseboard frame that doesn't line up correctly. They commit to 2 service visits included in the price of the new unit. However I called on 4/23 to get it serviced before summer and was told they are out until July. So you get service included that they can't perform in a timely manner, so I'll pay another company for the "free" service. Just be aware, the initial pricing was reasonable and in the park with competitors, but I made the decision based on commitments they didn't keep. read more

Excellent company, do yourself a favor and just hire them (don't waste your valuable time with other quotes, when most likely you're like me and your family is cooking in a hot home for days). I will only be calling them in the future, and have already referred to a family member who's A/C also went out and they used them and were happy as well. Received several A/C replacement quotes from only the highest rated companies on Yelp and Google, and Sure temp came out on top in terms of value/price (Trane system, high SEER rating, 2 stage). I was impressed with the sales rep, and learned a lot about A/C units that I didn't know. They took the time to educate me. They are also a highly rated Trane authorized dealer. They replaced my unit in 1 day, and the professionalism of the crew was excellent as well. Before techs arrived at my home I would receive and email and text message with the name and a photo of who would be arriving at my home. This adds a layer of trust to the company that I'm not sure other companies do. They left my home very clean as well. They also fill out all the paperwork for any rebates from SRP, and apply that discount directly to the bill, and Sure Temp gets reimbursed from SRP later. They also offered 18 months 0% financing (through Wells Fargo) which was huge as replacing an AC Unit is expensive, and this helps a lot. Most importantly our AC has been blowing great during this hot summer, and our upstairs is actually cold now, so the unit is working very well! Now I just need to replace my downstairs A/C unit once it goes out. read more

Our AC went out, it was 92 degrees in our home. Sure temp was here when they said they would be, Ryan, our tech found it was the blower motor. We have a commercial AC unit that is huge. I selected Sure Temp from their really strong reviews here on Yelp. Chad came out to give us an estimate for a major HVAC "re do" on a new house that REEis HVAC hopelessly screwed up. For background, this is a new build home that has such a terrible HVAC equipment installation that we're looking at deep five-figure repair guesstimates to fix REEis' complete and utter disaster. (By the way, REEis has NEVER accepted responsibility for: misplaced air-handlers, missing ducts, missing registers, missing supplies, and grossly undersized--by at least TWO TONS--AC units. They've claimed it's all the CUSTOMERS' fault Yes, it's the homeowners in this development that are the problem. We must be ganging up on REEis and it isn't their garbage HVAC installations . . . just wow!) Since this is going to be a really, really involved project Chad took a lot of notes and pictures, but when he ran it by the boss to generate an estimate, the project was shot down as it's too big. REEis left us with such a mess that this has become par for the course--Sure Temp is far from the first company to look at this house's HVAC, shake their heads, and then walk away/give up. REEis left this house so messed that nearly every company that's come out can't deal with it, or has made an effort only to fail to make a dent.) So why such a positive review for Sure Temp? Because Chad went above and beyond by finding a potential competitor that MIGHT be able to tackle the project! Speed is everything when you have 4 younger kids in the house and your heat isn't working. Justin was great quickly diagnosing my issue. Issue with my indoor A/C unit discovered and reported to Sure Temp on 8/3/24. Condensation dripping water was running down the back and side of the indoor unit and underneath my unit into the crawl space below and soaking the area and a bedroom closet. Dates: 8/3/24 - Sure Temp technician Ricky reviewed condensation drain line on 8/3/24 and installed condensation alarm. The alarm never worked, never shut off unit when condensation drip pan was clogged. Ricky technician stated that condensation water was draining outside but it was not draining. Condensation dripping water was running down the back and side of the indoor unit and underneath my unit into the crawl space below and soaking the area and a bedroom closet. 8/5/24: Same Sure Temp Ricky technician returned to review condensation line and said the line was draining outside but it was not draining. Condensation water was still dripping down the back and side of the indoor unit into the crawl space below and a bedroom closet. 8/8/24: Different Sure Temp technician Christian Perez Vallejos arrived at my house and examined unit and opened the indoor unit to review/look at the drip pan issue. He saw the clogged drip pan but never said anything to me that I have a clogged drip pan in my unit. He said that Sure Temp does not work on older R22 units and offered to set up a phone call with Sure Temp for a quote for an entire new A/C unit. 8/9/24: A friend of mine opened the indoor unit and together we discovered that the drip pan was completely clogged with dirty gunk. We proceeded together to clean out all the dirty gunk out of the drip pan so that it was clear and now the condensation water could flow freely out the condensation line. The condensation water stopped overflowing the drip pan because there was no more clog and the condensation water could now flow freely out the line. I also used my shop vac on the outside of my house on the condensation pipe to suck out all the dirty water out of the condensation line. This worked and there is no more dripping water down the back and side of the indoor unit into the crawl space below. I fixed the issue myself with the help of my friend. Sure Temp did not review or inform me of the clogged drip pan on any of the dates they appeared at my house. Not even on 8/8/24 when Christian Perez Vallejos removed the indoor unit cover and saw the clogged drip pan. They did absolutely nothing to fix the issue, and charged me $314.10 for a bogus 'condensation line alarm' that never worked at all. Sure Temp also charged me $75.00 for the service charge when Christian Perez Vallejos reviewed my clogged drip pan and did nothing at all to fix it. I am absolutely appalled at Sure Temp non-service and I am requesting a reimbursement of the $314.10 for the bogus 'condensation alarm' that never worked and the $75 service charge for no service at all when technician Christian Perez Vallejos saw the clogged drip pan but said nothing about it or even tried to fix it. I had to fix the issue myself. read more

Took last Thursday off to have a multiple company consultation come by and talk about what they can offer for a new A/C system to replace our 20 year old system. Had an appointment set between 10-11am with this company due to their awesome reviews. Talked to Mindy about 11:15 to see if the technician was still coming by, she said he was running behind, respectfully I understood and gave them a chance. 12:30-1 pm came and no one showed up yet. Ended up calling back to cancel. I have cash ready to get this system done before spring/summer. It was unfortunate they couldn't keep their word. Now I wouldn't be able to trust them to show up to complete quality work if they can't even make a SET APPOINTMENT. Oh well. On to the next one. 02/25/22: Spoke to Keith (Owner) about my issue and he's a great guy. Was apologetic and just explained it was a scheduling error that happened. Things go wrong and I get it but scheduling and communication is key. Maybe 15-20 years down the line when I replace my new unit I'll give them another try. read more
