Needed a new A/C unit installed because dog had been urinating on the previous outdoor system. Spoke with Jason who was able to get me a reasonable quote for a new unit installed. They were very patient and listened to my concerns as I had just been ripped off by a different competing place who had been out three times including charging us for coolant when it was spot on obvious there was corrosion and a leak (I do not recommend Simply The Best). Jason provided the quote and the install was done within a few days which is excellent response time considering I was in a jam and summer is here. Installers were very professional and even had the job done under the quoted time frame and did preventative maintenance on the other existing unit. Recommended. Straight forward, friendly and professional and don't play games with you like some of the other guys. We need integrity living in Arizona with the heat and I can say based on my experience, Northern Air provides exactly that! Northern Air Mechanical Services contacted me when my unit was available, quoted me better and best prices, and worked with my schedule to arrange an installation day to replace my old system. The old system was too small for the size of my house-- it barely passed inspection -- and as it has gotten hotter and will continue to get hotter in AZ, it was important to me to purchase a larger, more reliable and efficient system than what I had. The installers were exceptional -- meticulous, careful, thorough, professional, and kept me informed throughout the process. It was an all day project, which I anticipated and I am glad they took the time to ensure everything was done according to the system requirements. My AC went on a Sunday afternoon - they responded within 2 hours, diagnosed that my 27 year old heat pump was beyond repair and early the next day I received the bid for a new unit/replacement - I got two other comp bids and they were just slightly the low bid but even more importantly were able to schedule the unit replacement for just 2 days later. I needed to replace my 20 year old ac split system. I was referred to a friends son that did these kinds of jobs. Once I received the quote with a supposed discount I was not happy and the information I received did not sound right to me, I did not feel comfortable at all. I decided to contact Northern Air for a quote. I spoke with Jason. He took the time to explain everything about what I needed and gave me the most useful information about ac units and new refrigerant. I learned a lot. I received the quote and was very satisfied with it and felt comfortable going with Jason's company. My system was installed yesterday and I want to thank Jason, Doug and the other guys that were here working on my new installation. All the guys were very courteous and respectful. They informed me every step of the way on the progress. They were all very professional and cleaned everything up after they were done. I am typing this review from the comfort of my unbelievably cool home right now. They responded to my inquiry immediately. It wasn't an emergency so next day service was more than ok. Doug came and recharged one of my units that was desperately low. You can tell he has a passion for what he does. He was so happy when his thermometer readings got where he wanted them to be. When the cool air flowed through my upstairs vents, I got emotional too. This AZ heat is no joke y'all. He even showed me how to get my rooms a little cooler by helping the air flow. Totally professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and competitive. Our old A/C unit (12 years)was still working fine but we knew its end was in sight. Had numerous bids and visits from large companies, and smaller companies. The bids ranged from $4500-15000. We selected Northern Air Mechanical Services based in San Tan Valley even though they were not the cheapest. But their bid was fair, not loaded with stuff I didn't need, or need to read etc. The installation was on time and the entire process well exceeded our expectations. Not only did technician Doug fix the problem, he gave a detailed explanation of what he was doing during each step of the process, alerted me to potential problems, and gave some great maintenance tips to help avoid future issues. Our 16 year old Lennox ac unit stopped blowing cold air on Saturday. After going thru the hassle of calling and emailing companies, I settled on an appointment with Parker & sons for the following Monday. I didn't realize how bad the reviews were till I checked Yelp. I cancelled my appointment with them. After checking Yelp, and reading every review on Jason and Northern Air, I called and Jason was able to make it out Monday at 3pm. Let me say, I am relieved that Jason was able to come out. He quickly diagnosed the problem as low Freon and a possible leak in the case coil. He explained how these things happen, and knowing a little bit about hvac myself, I understood everything he was saying. He suggested putting Freon in it for now to save some money till we see what happens with the possible sale of our house and gave me options for replacing the unit which were very reasonable in prices. He did not try to up sell me. I will definitely be calling Jason back again to replace the unit should I keep this house and I will use Northern Air no matter where my next house in the valley will be. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! My air conditioner went out one evening so I called a few companies to help fix it. Northern Air was able to schedule a visit early the next morning. So I only had to handle one night without a working AC. Tiffany was great on the phone and answered all my questions. They arrived and told me my unit had blown a fuse and they fixed it. When they arrived, I asked if they could service and tune up the unit for the summer since I had not done that this year. Overall, they were great. When the job was completed he showed me the bill explaining every charge on the invoice. Which gave me peace of mind because so many don't explain, they just give a total and ask for a card. I got his number from our neighborhood website NEXTDOOR that others had had a good experience with him. I just purchased my first home and within a month of moving in, my AC just stopped working. When I need a service technician, it's important to me that I find a company who a) is in the same area/city and b) does warranty work orders with no restrictions to the day of the week (most companies don't do warranty work orders on the weekend). I called Northern Air and they were able to come to my residence within an hour of me setting up the appointment...on a Saturday morning!! The property management sent their preferred vendor to fix the problem but a week later, it broke again. The vendor was going to charge me another ridiculous amount and it did not seem right to me.
