We recently had another HVAC company come out because our AC stopped working. After running their diagnostics, they told us we needed to replace our entire system--including the air handler, condenser, and even add another air return. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. I had called to try to get someone to come out to fix our A/C that suddenly stopped working at 6pm at night. Knowing that the hours on the website said they closed at 7pm, chances of someone coming out that same day was slim. The guy on the phone initially told me that the earliest appointment would be the next day, but he was able to find Jacob who was in the area and would be able to stop by in 1-2 hours. Jacob arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He explained what was wrong (capacitor needed replacement) and then explained how he was going to fix it. Airtime I invested $20,000 in a two-unit AC system less than two years ago and trusted Airtime to maintain it. When I scheduled a service appointment, I was told there would be a two-month wait because they were backed up. I accepted that and waited. On the afternoon before the morning of my appointment, they called to cancel -- not to reschedule promptly, but to push me out another full month. No apology that meant anything until I confronted Deb. Her apology also meant nothing and I only got it after I confronted her with the poor treatment she gave me. And still no commitment to get anybody out any sooner than waiting another month. Just a well, I'll try but I can't promise you anything. No effort to prioritize a loyal customer with a significant investment. Just another delay with no end in sight. This is the kind of company that will take your money on the front end and leave you hanging on the back end. Loyal customers are not a priority here -- you are just a number in a queue. If you have a high-value system that depends on reliable maintenance, do yourself a favor and find a provider that will actually show up when they say they will. I understand when this was under old management, before the new owner took over, it was a well run company. But not now. Added: know I asked them to service my unit for two months of which they could not make time to do so. When I finally did get an appointment, they canceled it and told me it was going to be another month which would total three months of their failure to service the expensive equipment that I received from them. read more

I've reached the limit of my patience with Airtime. My experience has been a consistent pattern of missed diagnostics and negligent installation. I bought my condo in August 2024. I have a ceiling-mounted 'pancake' unit (common in condos) that was only 3 years old but had a persistent grinding noise. Despite sending multiple technicians, Airtime was completely unable to diagnose the issue. One tech flat-out said, 'That's just what these units sound like' after only 10 minutes of looking. I assure you normal units do NOT make the grinding noise. Their inability to troubleshoot a relatively new system left me no choice but to buy a brand-new unit from them in March 2025. The real issue arose nearly a year later. I had a routine service on Oct 20, 2025, and the tech failed to notice that a critical safety device (the float switch) was missing. ​My original installation invoice from March 2025 clearly lists--and charges me for--'"install new condensate overflow safety switch." Despite paying for this, it was never installed. For 11 months, I was unknowingly operating a system without the safety shut-off I explicitly paid for, leaving my home exposed to preventable flooding risks. It wasn't until February 2026 that a Senior Technician (Garret) finally caught the error. He was shocked it was missing, telling me, "We install these on every single new unit. Every single one" To his credit, Garret was transparent and installed the part immediately, and informed his manager of the situation. However, fixing a safety hazard a year later does not excuse the fact that Airtime left my home unprotected for 11 months. They couldn't fix my old unit, they failed to install critical safety parts on the new one, and their maintenance tech missed the error on October 20. Shout out to Garret for finally noticing, otherwise I'd still be unprotected. ​I cannot recommend a company that demonstrates this level of carelessness with safety equipment. read more

They answered quickly and a young guy came out same day, but instead of trying to remove my stuck shower cartridge they looked at it and quoted me $1200 for changing the entire valve instead. It just felt lazy and like they were trying to rip me off, or maybe just charging way too much so they wouldn't have to do a tough job (formula: annoying job + crazy price = big no from customer and guy doesn't have to do this job! Back up plan: she actually says yes and I get a big fun job and get to use the blow torch!) Went with my second quote instead (which was less than half the price!) and they worked hard to remove the cartridge, but got it and fixed it like these guys should have. Wish airtime would have presented options or had any valid reason to skip changing the cartridge and rip out an entire valve. Nope. read more

They said it comes with a 10 year warranty. A part, capacitor, went bad and guess what. The part is free but the labor is not. Capacitors are typically $10 -$45 to buy and easy to install. According to a quick AI search the average service call for a capacitor replacement is $150. Under my warranty I get a free part but have to pay $195.00 for labor. So in other words their warranty just guarantees them future service work at a profit. $195.00 for a $10 part and about 15 minutes of work. Good business model for the owners. Just misleading - dishonest to the customers. I own a construction business, bathroom remodeling, and would never charge for warranty work, and we offer lifetime. it's only $200 and I can afford it so whatever. But I feel bad for those out there getting taken advantage of that can't afford it. read more

On Feb. 11 '2026 technician Jacob Latin performed a heating system check up. Even though it was late in the season I took advantage of the sale offer and signed up. Jacob was beyond fantastic. First of all the company shared a picture of Jacob so I knew who he was and provided a bio of his experience. First time any company did that. Jacob was thorough and showed pictures of everythinhg in the attic, mostly very good except for the insualtion which he stated was low, probably due to setteling over the years since the house is about 25 years old. He stressed that although the depth was not critical it is something to consider addressing in the future. he was so friendly and very good at his job I have requested that he serviice my A/C system in mid April because I trust him 100% and will request that he be the only tech to service my system going forward. I purchased two new Trane A/C units . One in July and one in August of 2022. I used to pay $ 29.00 to come out and do a tuneup on old units. I had them come out May 1st on the two new units and was charged $89.00 for each unit. The total cost $178.00. I just paid for the service charge. I had to call them to get a copy of the service report and invoice. Several days later I got a letter from Air Time stating that they will do the same tuneup for $39.00 each unit. I called about why they did not get me the same price as the letter they sent to me? But they said they would try to get me the lower price the next time I have them come out. I thought was, that if a customer had pays over $18,000 dollars in two months and have been a long time loyal customer that they would do something to help out on the charge. I also pay $1200 dollars for the labor on service call that not covered by warranty. They apparently don't care about loyalty of customers. They appear to only care about raising their prices for their own business profit. I heard that the company was sold to another company and they must not care about their older customers. Brain that was the prior owner always took care of his customers and myself many times. I would not recommend this new owner due to how they treated me and how they handled my situation. I know costs are going up but don't send me a letter several days later with lower prices and tell me that you take care of it the next time I call them for service. I would ask you if you would call them back again. There was nothing wrong with the units but I always try to be proactive to keep them clean and running good. Especially when it gets hot in our Arizona weather. There are many different A/C companies out there that would be happy to service your units. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but I feel taken advantage of. My AC was working perfectly, and I scheduled a routine maintenance visit, which I paid $40 for. They told me everything looked great. Exactly 7 days later, the unit started making noise and stopped cooling. I called them back, and they said I had a leak. To confirm the leak, they proposed adding refrigerant--$125 per pound. They added 6 pounds but "only charged me for 5" ($625). Once the refrigerant was added and the AC started working, they said, "That confirms you have a leak." Then came the breakdown of what it would cost to find the leak and fix it--totaling around $6,000. It felt off. I got a second opinion from another company, who came out for free. They inspected everything thoroughly, found and showed me the leak immediately, and told me they don't recommend adding refrigerant until the leak is located, as it's essentially wasted money. They fixed the issue. Now I feel misled and robbed. Be careful and always get a second opinion. read more

I have two small children living in the home and had an issue for over two weeks with the company coming out 3 times and as of today my AC is still not fixed. I have a new company coming out today. Airtime tech keeps telling me it's something different every time and it's still not getting fixed. Technician was unnecessarily rude to me when I was trying to discuss the issue and options. Update: new AC company came out and said it was just some loose wires that needed to be tightened up and now my AC is working again. I spent way too much money and weighed it too long and had to pay hotel bills just to find out it's loose wiring from another company :( read more

He was methodical in his investigation of my issues, explained his thoughts process, and gave me suggestions. These guys can't be beat. We got two new awesome Trane units with the newest technology- inverter systems that convert the power to DC, which allows the compressor and both fans to run at pretty much infinite speeds. This allows them to run at low speeds. They run longer but we rarely even know when they are on. It saves money because ramping a unit up to full power costs more than running at 50% or less for a longer time, (2 fans and compressor). The salesman, Ashton, and the crew, led by Sean, did the best installation job I have ever seen. Ashton came by a couple of times to check on the progress. Hands down, The. Best. Our 15 year old Trane unit died yesterday. With the house at 87' at around 5PM we called for service and were told Josh would be there between 7 and 9AM the next day. Josh appeared at 7 and diagnosed the unit as needing replacement and after a short call with Brian, we'd arranged for purchase and install of the new Trane TODAY! Vince the foreman was amazing. Excellent service - was kind, fast and helpful with updates. By 1:20 this afternoon, the house was cooling off and the new unit was running.
