Our two year old AC unit they installed is now dead. They send out a guy who resets the system and leaves without fixing anything at all. He's gone two hours when our house smells like burning rubber and the unit sounds like it's about to explode. Now, It's been almost two weeks and they "can't get the part in" to fix it. *** Updated They finally fixed this after 12 days with no AC and a lot of arguing. Definitely could have been communicated and handled better. Alex, their manager, came out and helped do the job himself. They get an extra star for Alex. The delays were on the manufacturer's end, the poor communication was their staff though. read more

When we purchased our Phoenix home in December 2016, we had a new AC unit installed by Rescue One Air. We also enrolled in their Preventative Maintenance Program, which included a 27-point spring tune-up and a 32-point fall tune-up. We faithfully paid for and completed these twice-yearly maintenance visits from 2017 through 2025. On June 2, 2025, Rescue One Air performed one of our scheduled tune-ups. At the time, the unit was making a loud squealing noise. The technician completed the inspection covered under our maintenance plan and told us he found no concerns with the unit or the attic equipment. He needed additional parts to fix the squealing issue, so a follow-up appointment was scheduled for June 5, when the repair was completed. On the morning of June 7, 2025, our master bedroom closet ceiling caved in. The drywall and insulation were soaked and moldy, and water continued dripping from the attic. I immediately called Rescue One Air, and they sent a technician within about two hours. The technician showed me a PVC pipe from the attic AC equipment that had no glue or sealant on the connection. He explained that the pipe had not been properly sealed and that it had been slowly leaking over time until the water-soaked insulation became heavy enough for the ceiling to collapse. After paying for Rescue One's maintenance program for nine years--and having the attic equipment inspected twice a year--we were shocked that this had never been identified. The technician told us the issue was Rescue One's responsibility, helped arrange for a remediation company to begin the cleanup and dry-out process, gave us his supervisor's email, and told us the company would reimburse our $1,000 homeowners insurance deductible. That never happened. The damage required insurance, professional remediation, ceiling replacement, insulation replacement, and weeks of repairs. After the repairs were completed, I left multiple voicemail messages and sent numerous emails. Rescue One Air never returned a single call or email. We paid for nine years of preventative maintenance because we believed it would help prevent exactly this kind of expensive property damage. Instead, after a ceiling collapse and significant water damage that their own technician said stemmed from an improperly sealed AC pipe, Rescue One stopped communicating with us entirely. That's what has been the most disappointing part of this experience. read more

My unit is down again with the 2nd failed compressor. They won't replace unit or pay for my hotel stays. Do not deal with these guys

If you love Bots, you will love this company. I have yet to see their Bots show up or call back when requested. The Bots have taken over a very good qualified HVAC company. If you can get thru the Bots they do good work. BUT, THEY ARE NOT DEPENDABLE AFTER THE INSTALLATION. Be prepared to call back numerous times and still never get help. If a body calls you back. Feel privileged, but be prepared for excuses. read more

Everytime they have come over for routine service, they have tried to up sell us on something, even right after we purchased a new heat transfer unit. Our AC went out two weeks ago, a week after the fan motor was replaces, because a fan blade broke and cut the coil. The unit is under warranty. Since then we have only gotten stalls and delays and misinformation about the status of the repair. It's a Carrier, and they also refuse to back their products. They say the unit must be repaired, with the coil on backorder for 57 days. The part was supposedly sent from somewhere that had one on hand, it never arrived, and no one seems to know where it is. The service manager and the distributor Russel Sigler Inc. supposedly agreed last week that we would get a new system installed, either today or tomorrow. Today they say they can only repair it, but how, if they don't have the right part? Lies, lies and more lies. Each time they say something, they go back on what they offered. Now we are to have a repair done, but no guarantee that they will actually receive a new coil and replace it as they should. The service manager was complaining to US that the cost of replacement was too much. In the meantime, we have a portable AC unit in our living room that is very loud, and doesn't hardly get the room cool, much less the rest of the house, which is about 92º in the afternoon/evening. read more

They'll sell you a unit telling you that it will keep up with the summer heat. It won't, they'll say that it's functioning fine. They also will say it's because your house is 10 years old. This makes absolutely no sense when there are much older houses that keep set points. read more

Great service, when they actually show up. I have been cancelled/rescheduled on four times since May. All I am trying to do is get the summer service completed. I am tired of calls to say they can't make it, and I don't care for any further responses. After they complete this service more than two months late, unless they call to reschedule again, I will be seeking out another regional AC company to give my money for services going forward. Tired of the lack of follow through. read more

I am going to start out by saying I am very disappointed with this company. They purchase the company from another company I had for years which I will not name. They were an outstanding company. When Rescue One purchase them they actually had staff from the old company. Everything was good with this new company. Somehow things have changed. When the new company took over they sold us a maintenance contact. We somehow got the impression it was also a warranty. They were supposed to come out twice a year for checkups at no cost. They made it to most of them, but not all. I let it side and kept using them. Just last week my wife heard a funny noise from the air conditioner. We called Rescue One and they came out fairly quickly. When the tech arrived He did everything he should. Introduce himself and all you would except. He went up on the roof to check things out and was up there for a while. When he came down he gave me some bad news. He said there was a leak in the air con that need to be fixed. Showed me picture and all that. Then hold me it would be 3700.00 dollars. I ask him about the maintenance/warranty agreement. He said oh no this is not under any warranty and what we had purchased was just a maintenance contract. Which was over 1000.00+. To say the least I was quite upset. I then call the company to speak with the manager. He told me that it was not a warranty agreement, but just a maintenance agreement. He did try to appease me and drop the price to 2700.00. I say I want to get another opinion. He said we wouldn't find a better price. A long story short. We called another independent run company that my brother suggested. We told him what Rescue One had said verbatim from the flied report. Well he came out the next day. He did all the appropriate niceties and went up on the roof to check things out. He was up there awhile and when he was done he ask if we had changed our air filter. I was honest and said it was quite a while. He plainly stated that was our problem. There was NO leak no other problem and overall our 6 year old air conditioner was in great shape. He changed our very, very dirty filter. Then went back up on the roof. Came down and said all is great. He saved us 2700.00. The charge for the visit was 79.00. We asked if he had a maintenance agreement. He say yes, but he did not bring it up I did. It was 200.00 per years. When we purchased it he didn't charge the 79.00 visit fee. Lastly I canceled by appointment with Rescue One and ask for a refund on my maintenance agreement. They said fine, but would have to reduce the cost of any thing they had done. So you can see why I am disappointed with Rescue One. I will no longer use them and I suggest if you use them get a second opinion. If you are looking for an air conditioning company be alerted. read more

‼‼ Rescue One Air preyed on my mom who is a single female in her 60's. She reached out thinking they were honest service providers and purchased a maintenance/warranty policy with them for $1,100. She has worked with them since 2024 and they have come out to service her A/C unit a handful of times. Most recently, they came out and told her that part of her A/C was rusted and a critical part was charred or burned. The tech told her she would soon need a new unit and sent two estimates ranging from $13,000-$20,000. She was coerced into purchasing a $125 cleaning that turned out it wasn't necessary. Due to her stress and fear, we reached out to another A/C business who came out to check her unit. Not a single thing was reported wrong with it. They check the components in her attic and the box outside. Not a single thing needed repair. They said the service Rescue One provided was not needed. I WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THESE SCAMMERS. NO CONSUMER DESERVES TO GO THROUGH THE STRESS THESE GREEDY AND SELFISH INDIVIDUALS CAUSED MY FAMILY. ‼‼ read more

Don't fall for the service contract. I was duped. Once they've got your money you are on your own. I have had 3 cancellations in the past six weeks. I am ready to cut my losses and go with someone else. I was duped. Don't do business with with these crooks. read more

1) Within the first year of having a maintenance agreement with them we had an issue with our 10 year old AC unit. Getting a new unit was their recommendation but we asked them to fix it since it was the first time we had an issue, it's a Trane AC and we felt we could get a little more out of it. They fixed it but then kept calling us to see if we were ready to get a new one. We had to tell them to stop asking us about new. 2) We didn't get a paper copy of the service agreement so when we did have an issue we couldn't remember who we signed up for and who to call. Our original company was bought out and we couldn't remember the name of this one so we had to dig deep into our brains and emails to figure out who to call. 3) We called to ask for a paper copy or email copy of the maintenance agreement and were emailed an estimate for new AC. We had to call back and tell them we didn't get what we wanted. Holden was the person we talked to and he kept telling us that he couldn't modify anything. We said we only wanted the agreement and didn't need any modifications. Holden said he sent us what we needed. We had to send him pictures of what he sent us to PROVE that he didn't send us what he thought. We were told by Holden that he had other customers he needed to talk to and had spent enough time with us. So he may have to get off the phone soon. I said that he hadn't taken care of us yet. Holden believed he had sent us what we needed. Finally he sent us the agreement. Once we received it, I said we have it, bye and got off the phone so Holden could get to other customers. While waiting for Holden to finally figure out that he didn't send us I was able to let Holden know that his communication with us was treating us like we were the problem when in fact he was not getting us what we were asking for. It was really wrong of him to talk to us as he did. 4) Today we had another AC company come out to our house to install some smart thermostats. The tech came down and showed me a picture of my dryer vent, explaining that it had been crushed. This totally explained why my dryer all the sudden started showing an error message that there was blockage. I had cleaned my dryer vent within the past six months so the error message didn't make sense. I tried cleaning my dryer vent after the message only to hit a block in the vent. Now I know why. I haven't called Rescue Air One about this issue. Their tech came out December 31 so I assume it happened that day. I am so thankful I called a different company because that smashed vent could have led to a fire of my home. read more

We bought a new HVAC unit from these people and the install was less than perfect. They made it right in the end. We used them for our other home in Gilbert to service a unit that wasn't working correctly and I was duped into believing I needed to spend $1100 on a 5-yr warranty plan in exchange for a free $80 part. I'm ashamed I fell victim to the sales pitch. The warranty plan includes two bi-annual check-ups which are not check-up's. There is always something wrong. Oh, your unit is running too hard, your unit is getting old, yada yada. It's a sales pitch every single time I have these people out to my house. A free check up turns into a "you need to spend $675 for this and that". ZERO peace of mind. ZERO. If this is how they treat a customer who has spent over $15,000 with them the past couple years, I can't even begin to imagine what they're doing to prospective customers. What a waste of $1,100. OH! And I almost forgot, they cover their as*es by including a 30-day termination policy on their service "warranties". If you don't cancel in 30 days and you come to realize how sheisty these people are (and you will), you'll be left in the dust. There's a reason they only give you 30 days, don't fall victim. read more

I have to update my review. I should have done this last year. When they get you - they forget you! We purchased 3 new units and purchased the maintenance package for all 3 units. Good luck trying to get them to come out to do the maintenance that you paid for. Year 1 they canceled us twice and then said they couldn't come out for the seasonal checkup (that we paid for) because it's their "busy" season. Then they told us, "don't worry about it though because your systems are new." Furious. So year 2 we scheduled them 6 months in advance and we let them choose what date to do the service work. We take time off work today because we have to be home for them to come. We confirm that they will be here earlier in the week. We CONFIRM they will be here the night prior. Here we sit waiting and we get a text message - your service has been canceled. We call and ask why and the person that answered the phone said, "I dunno, I'm just the scheduler." We ask to reschedule - guess what, it's their busy season they can't guarantee when someone can come out." This is a service we paid for and can't get. Very unprofessional. read more

Rescue One is still going strong! I have only used Rescue One Air for my yearly AC and Heater check-ups. Sadly, my favorite technician is no longer there and I was a little apprehensive on who they might send out. Jason showed up and was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Jason showed me a major problem in my attic that ultimately resulted in me purchasing a whole new split system for my house. Jason was not pushy and did not try to up sale me a system I did not need. There prices were very fair and I was offered a discount for having a maintenance plan with them. Within a few days installers arrived and my new heat pump and AC unit were installed. The installers were great from start to finish but they did have to cut the trim around my attic to bring everything in and out. I was assured that the office would be contacting me to have a professional drywaller come out and fix everything and they did that very same day. I highly recommend Rescue One Air for anyone looking for a reputable company that actually cares about their clients. They are never pushy and make you feel very comfortable doing business with them. read more

We've been a customer since 2018 and can't say enough about their service. All of their technicians are knowledgeable, conscientious and personable. They are sensitive to the needs of their customers and have always tried to do what's best for them. Matthew was our last technician and also serviced our neighbor, a 91 year old with limiting health issues. He was incredibly kind and sensitive to her needs and limited finances. Matthew will be the technician I ask for! Just a note about the owner, Jason, his crew replicates his ethics. In 2018, Jason saw a bad review I posted. He didn't ignore it, he took the time to call and rectified the situation. We've had no problems since, but I have no doubt, should there be one it would be handled promptly. Alex & Jason arrived early the next day and were very efficient. They jumped right in to install the new part in record time! I appreciate the quickness in responding to my Saturday call. They had a technician to my home quickly. The technician did a thorough inspection, was really nice, and seemed knowledgable. He told me my compressor should be replaced and even checked to see that it was still under warranty. However the labor to replace it would be several thousands of dollars. He shared pictures and explained the process. Frankly, if that is what it cost, and that was what I needed - I would have done it. Today I paid for a second opinion from a very reputable company. I especially asked the tech to check my compressor. He was here over an hour. In his opinion my compressor was fine. He fixed a little wire thing (no extra charge) and went on his way. I guess the future will tell which guy got it right. Sometimes it pays to get a second opinion. My fingers are crossed. read more

Our AC went out this summer and we have very young children so it was an emergency. We had a different company come out and "fix it" and it stopped working again a few hours later. David W. with rescue one air came out the next morning and restored our faith! He fixed the problem correctly and thoroughly. He went above and beyond by - 1) taking before & after pictures and giving us a lot of details so we could follow up and get a refund from the other company. 2) He offered a permanent solution instead of just a bandaid like other people who had serviced the unit. We had encountered the same problem a year before and it seemed from previous work it had been happening before we moved in as well. 3) He took time to tidy up after the job and gave us his business card if we needed any further follow up. Just when I thought customer service in the world was dead, these guys restored my faith. Firstly, their punctuality was remarkable. They arrived right on schedule, fully prepared to tackle the job. Their respect for my schedule was greatly appreciated. The installation process itself was seamless. The team displayed an impressive level of industriousness, working diligently to ensure the job was done right. Their expertise in HVAC systems was evident, as they skillfully navigated through the installation, making what seemed like a complex task appear effortless. They didn't cuss and complain like workers from other companies I've hired in the past, they were true professionals. I've had workers go on a full-on F-bomb tantrum because of their frustrations with the installation, the heat, the cramped spaces, etc etc. It's not cool when people do that and they make the customer super uncomfortable. What truly set Rescue One Air apart was their attention to detail, especially in terms of cleanliness. Post-installation, they meticulously cleaned up, leaving my space just as they found it, if not better. This level of consideration is rare and showed their respect for my home. Before they left, they took the time to walk me through the functionality of the new system, ensuring everything was in perfect working order. They patiently answered all my questions and made sure I was completely satisfied with the work done before considering their job complete. read more

Yesterday I had a scheduled routine maintenance call. I have a contract and they come out twice a year. My unit has been working great. I wasn't having any issues with it before the technician came; Mike. After the technician left; the following day my unit is no longer functioning as it was before he came. Before he came it was blowing cold air, and wasn't making a loud high pitched sound. Last night I set it to 76 and typically would wake up cold. This morning I woke up and it was 80 degrees in my house!!! I called and they sent another technician out. Now they are saying I need a new coil and there is no refrigerant and I have a huge leak. My feeling is that when Mike hooked up his gauges that he broke a valve or something. While the technician was here; Clayton, I called and spoke with the manager, Jim. I was not happy with his customer service and he spoke to me in a very condescending manner. Basically; I don't know what I'm talking about. I have been a customer for about 10yrs and never had an issue before. I am very unhappy with the service I have received. Clayton had to try and do "clean up". I was very happy with his service.
