My annual checkup on the air conditioner was yesterday. The technician did a thorough job, checked everything in the attic, as well. He was on time, very pleasant, totally competent. Collins All About Water I am a current contract customer On April 8, 2026, I had an appointment to flush the water heater at 10:30. The office called me to let me know the technician was held up on a job. He would be at my home by 3:00. He did not arrive until 5:15. I thought it would be a quick job. The up-sale pressure was ridiculous. The water heater needed a longer drain spout at the bottom. While he was adding the drain valve he took the soft water tank apart. I was horrified! It is going on 6:30 at night, I live alone. I knew the water heater was broken and was putting off getting a new on. He came in the house and wanted to show me pics of the inside of the water heater and more up sale for a new soft water system. I rudely told him to stop talking and can he put the water softener back together. It was 7:30 at night he is finally putting tools away. This cost for the valve was over $400! I will not have Collins out to clean out the water heater ever again. read more

We requested service it didn't go well, but this company management rallied and got back to us and they have made it right so we are good now. Sometimes circumstances outside of a company's control can contribute to them falling short of their customers' expectations. Been a customer for years with Collins Comfort Masters, but service does not reward loyalty. Purchased their drinking water filtration system. Not cheap but the first year it worked as expected. In March 2026 got the carbon and membrane filters replaced which is not cheap over $650. Not even 3 months later, the water slows and then eventually shuts off. I call to get it serviced, and they're telling me it could be at least $100 or more to get it serviced. I told the manager I just paid you 650 now you're wanting more money over service you guys didn't do right the first time. The manager instead of working with me alleviate the situation just hid behind the skirt of the technician will work with you. I'm quoted a timeframe of him showing up no later than 6oclock. 7pm rolls around, no contact no reference, but shows up as we're leaving to go get dinner. Ask to speak with a manager following morning, no follow up, get a callback from one of their phone people, asking me to rehash everything. Clearly nothing on my account is notated. When I told her no follow up on status, she had the audacity to tell me we did you we were coming, saying an automated message was sent at 9am saying we'll be there by 6. Was infuriating I had to snap at her say you guys didn't show up until 7 like I said w/ no warning. Still looking to get this resolved. read more

I was happy with coming regarding the installation of my new AC unit, but the after care is highly lacking. During the install, we were told that if we were not a Comfort care customer, if a Comfort care customer had an emergency or needed to schedule something right away, that even with an appointment, I could be bumped and I'm guessing that's what's happened again. . The installation was great, but there was a panel that was dented. I called them to let them know I sent them pictures of the dented panel on the day of install. They schedule an appointment a month later to come and replace it. I got a call from the technician at 9 o'clock in the morning to say that he had the wrong panel and would call me back later as soon as he checked with the yard to see if they had it in he never called back. I called them. I sent a message that afternoon. I had no reply 10 days after the repair date I get a phone call to reschedule. They said I would have the first appointment of the day. I asked him what time they again say the first appointment of the day I asked her specifically for a time they told me between 730 and 930. I called at 9 o'clock to see where the technician was. I had taken the day off again so that I could be home for them and again, they have no showed. They don't have a number that I can contact them directly. It's an answering service. read more

Service performance was fast and good. The downside is the price and no breakdown of labor costs and parts. All I have is a shower faucet listed at $1300! I called 7 TIMES and sent SEVERAL emails. Not one response back. You cannot talk directly to a manager or anyone in charge. Regardless I disputed the charges and now we shall see if someone reaches out. Very disappointing experience. I am a current service contract customer and had a kitchen faucet replaced using an identical model that I provided. The job took about 45 minutes with no issues, yet I was charged $889.51 for labor alone. That pricing feels excessive for such a simple installation, especially given my ongoing relationship with the company. I reached out to give them a chance to review the charge before posting, but received no response. I would strongly recommend getting clear pricing upfront before agreeing to any work. The technician was very nice and knowledgeable but this company not any different than other big name a/c companies wanting you to get a monthly subscription and selling on very expensive items such as the jump starter kit for over $500 for a part that sells for like $50 on Walmart and lasts for about a year and a half and when it goes out it stops your unit from working altogether. We got suckered years ago by another company with one of these items, speaking from experience. read more

I was extremely happy with the plumbing work Damon performed replacing a shower/tub rough-in valve in order to upgrade our shower from an original 1989 Pfister one to a modern Delta model. What set Damon a part from other plumbers, who came out to give me a quote, was how he was able to replace the rough in valve WITHOUT having to cut away more of the tile (where we then would've needed a large shower remodel cover plate to hide the enlarged access). Damon truly is skilled to have successfully swapped this out and I am very appreciative of his work. Pricing was same as the other company who quoted us so I'd say it's competitive while also getting a more skilled plumber in the process. As we've used Collins for HVAC needs, I was truly impressed using them for our plumbing need. Will continue to use them again on future projects and/or services. After most of the day without A/C the inside temp. was nearing 100°. It had been over 6 hours since my initial call to Collins Comfort Master. It was miserable. Part of the problem was the thermostat. There were no other options. I was charged over $400 for a thermostat that I could have bought at Walmart for under $80, same brand and model, I checked. As a final kick, I was charged an $89 "Service Fee." Collins will not hesitate to take advantage of the situation and gouge you if they get a chance. I bought an AC tune-up Black Friday deal through Home Depot. They sent Collins Comfort Masters out to do the work. I explained to the scheduler and to the technicians (two of them) what I needed done, to service the AC unit, so that I'll be all set come summertime. They made $1,300 worth of repairs. The tech told me the work is under warranty for 6 months. Last week I noticed the fan not blowing, so I called the company and asked if someone could come out and take a look at it. The girl said it's only a 30-day warranty but that they could come out as a service call for $89.99. It turns out they had worked on the heat, not the cooling. This was confirmed by the technician, who said, "Sorry about the confusion." Do they really expect me to pay MORE money when they couldn't even get it right the first time? Very disappointing. The girl I spoke to when I called (twice) told me she would escalate it to management and then call me back. I have not yet got a call back. read more

We bought an HVAC system from Collins (Lennox). The smart thermostat had a 10 year warranty written into the contract. When it dies last month (year 5), I called. Tech came out and said yes, covered, then proceeded to replace it with a lesser unit and charged us in excess of $650 in labor to replace it. Please, find another HVAC service provider. As a consumer our only alternative is to not do business with companies that are less than acceptable. read more

We inherited an EcoWater RO and water softener when we purchased our house. It turns out Collins has taken over the EcoWater business and the original installer, All About Water, is out of business. I read many recent reviews since the change that were poor but I'm here to say we had Collins out today and are very pleased. I purchased filters from AAW for 2 or 3 years but this year our softener had an issue. Seeing the recent negative reviews had me wondering if we should just get a new, non proprietary system from someone else, but we decided to have Collins out to see about repair. Our service tech, Saul, was very knowledgeable, approachable and knew what the problem was right away. He also installed new filters in our RO, which we knew we needed and wanted. It really was a good experience. I asked about perhaps buying additional filters for next year so we don't have to have someone out (no storefront to purchase filters anymore), which he said we could do, but also if we want to wait we can just call them and they will ship them out (for a fee), rather than insisting a tech come out. That is good to know! For now we're definitely good with our 6 year old EcoWater systems and Collins. read more

Purchased 2 Lennox XC16 systems in 2019 from Collins Comfort Masters through Costco. One unit failed 3/2026 or 7 years after install date. The contract with Collins clearly states warranties, as shown on attached photo, with 2 yrs labor, 5 years T-STAT (thermostat), and everything else 10+ years. This is the primary reason going through Costco for the purchase. Collins came out 3 days after the "device missing" failure was encountered. When the technician walked in my door he told me he pretty much knew what the issue was and telling me this was a known problem. After 30 minutes of diagnostics he said the failure was the Lennox S30 HUB in the attic and it wasn't going to be under warranty because it is part of the thermostat (which is on my bedroom wall) plus it has been discontinued because of the failure rate and is the only component not covered 10+ years. As shown, other than the thermostat all other hardware is 10+ years including the line stating Other PARTS. Collins quoted $1203 to replace HUB if they could find one, $1157 to replace with a 3rd party thermostat and remove the HUB from the configuration or $1467 to do a S40 upgrade to a supported Lennox configuration plus the $89 dollar diagnostic fee. Should warranties be invalidated because the sold/installed configuration has known issues and is no longer manufactured? I placed a call to Collins 480-655-7575 and stated I wanted to speak with a service manager regarding the warranty and was told they would return call before end of day. It is now 3 days later and no call. After day 2 I called Climate Pro and they sent out 2 technicians same day and did the 3rd party thermostat swap for $578. Lennox should have done a recall on the S30 units, Collins should do the 3rd party thermostat swaps free of charge since the HUB was under warranty and I'm ashamed of COSTCO for supporting this business. It is not the COSTCO way of doing business. read more

The company installed a 40-gallon RUUD Electric Water Heater (240V, 4500W). The heater itself cost $750, and the total amount I paid with installation was $3,400. They also replaced the shower cartridge for $600. Everything was installed properly, and the work was done as promised. However, I think the price was very high it's possible to find the same service for much less elsewhere. Also, adjusting the water temperature on this heater is quite complicated. read more

We purchased a water heater through Costco, as we know Costco stands behind their products and screen vendors and installers. Their vendor of choice at the time was Collins Comfort, what a mistake. Four years after the install the water heater went bad, Collins wanted to charge to replace it under warranty more than what we originally paid for the heater and labor. No wonder Costco stopped using them for water heaters. They are scammers and all about selling and getting you signed up to their monthly service program. The service is not what it used to be from when I bought my first water softener years back. I received a text from their President Molina to leave a review. I called and asked the operator for a call back from the president, never heard back. Now, I am issuing a complaint to Costco about Collins Comfort unscrupulous operating methods. read more

I have had the maintenance plan for a few years now, and have had my A/C unit serviced by them regularly since then. Literally NO issues previously. Now all of a sudden my unit, which is no longer under warranty as of 5 months ago, has $1700 worth of repairs. Motor needs replaced because dirt build up is causing it to over heat. "Its really common" he tells me - funny never had one replaced before at the last three homes I have been in. Also - new start up kit is needed because of overamping at startup - also never had that issue before. . . .having a maintenance plan didn't help the cost. I don't see it being worth it at all - except they literally hound you with calls and emails to schedule a tech to come out. All in all - It really seems like the A/C repair companies have you over a barrel in Phoenix. I don't know enough about A/C to dispute repairs. And half the time, repairs are not necessary. read more

In the end she showed me what's needed to be fix to keep our AC running smoothly and ready for the AZ summer. No sales pitch, no emotional reasoning on how terrible it would be if my AC dies in the middle of summer. Just plain numbers. The required manufacturer's parameters and what's the current reading. She also understood our current financial situation and helped me prioritize what should be done first and what could wait to help ease the immediate financial burden. Very simple, just the facts along with 36 photos and I'll be a returning customer for sure. I am changing my review to a 1 star from a 5 star because of this company lack of professionalism.If you are needing a follow up PM service on your HAVC system, this company is not the one to use.I requested PM services 2 times with them.Each time the planned PM service was a month out from my call date.The first PM service was canceled the day before my scheduled service date by them because they got too busy to actually services my HAVC system.Think about that and then ask yourself who does that? I made changes to my schedule to accommodate them. Not the other way around. I then made an effort to reschedule a PM service through the company. It too was a month out from my call date.The day of PM service the company set a time period of 2-hour window to do the service.I arranged my schedule for that time period on the day of service.The tech called me 45 minutes before my scheduled service time.I was not home obviously, the tech called and said he was available to start the PM service.I was not able to take the call nor was I home.The tech called several more times to indicate he was sitting out in front of my home waiting, that was a 1/2 hour before my scheduled time.The tech said he would wait 10 min. then leave if I was not home.I was not home I was on my way to my home, the tech left. As soon as I got home which was before my scheduled PM service time,I called the company and asked if I was still going to get PM service at the scheduled service time. I was told the 2-hour window was still a go and I should be contacted shortly. I waited the whole 2-hours, no phone call, NO NOTHING. End of story. You want to use this company for anything GOOD LUCK! read more

POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE!!!! They want the biggest sale. The convinced us to upgrade our system and didn't check to make sure it was compatible with our circuit breaker. Now our breaker goes off every few hours and then we have no air conditioning and have to reset it. We have contacted them on multiple occasions and they refuse to call us back so unless you want an air-conditioning that only works for a few hours at a time, I do not suggest this company. If I could give zero stars, that's what I would give. read more

We have had a maintenance plan with them because we bought a home that had a new unit installed with them already and continued service. It's been a NIGHTMARE ever since. We have had SEVERE issues with our unit and the woman in dispatch is rude, yells and hangs up on you. She thinks she can treat anyone the way she wants. But I'll tell everyone about her. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone because of her mouth and the janky service the provide. We have a split unit and the pump failed causing flooding in our home. No one knows why and yet they keep saying they fixed it and it keeps happening. This is the 3RD TIME it has happened from their unit and they take ZERO responsibility for it occurring. Its FAULTY. FIX IT. Send a tech that knows how to solve the problem!!!! And hire someone who has compassion for others to do your dispatching. She's a disgrace to your company. read more

I'm now updating my review...during the initial visit the wiring was NOT fixed. They sent out another technician and the wiring was NOT fixed. My A/C is still not fixed and I have my third appointment this afternoon from 3-5 pm and it's after 4:30 and NO communication. They said technician can come between 9-11 pm. I am really disappointed with their lack of communication and that no one's been able to resolve my issue and A/C is still going out periodically. I just called to see ETA on technician and they told me it has been rescheduled to tomorrow between 1-3. I hope they can fix tomorrow. What a stressful experience and this company is POORLY managed !!! I do NOT recommend. I rate them a ZERO !! read more

We have two A/C units that were 19 years old and the compressor went out on one of them, which kept our bedroom temperature above 85 for 3 days. We were somewhat desperate to replace both units. I shopped two other vendors before contacting Costco, which contracts its work to Collins Comfort Masters. On short notice, Victoria Malley from Collins visited our home, assessed our situation, and provided us with a written proposal after thoroughly explaining the viable options. Her professionalism and knowledge exceeded those of the other two vendors combined. We signed the contract yesterday afternoon and today, both units were installed by a three-person crew. Both my wife and I thought their crew members Edgar M, Edgar B & Curilo were also very professional, knowledgeable & very polite. They were in & out in 5 1/2hrs. Before leaving, they thoroughly cleaned up their mess and had the old products picked up by a different vendor. In addition to saving us over $ 1,600, they also allowed us to use a Mastercard (without any additional charges), which helps us accumulate free miles, and the purchase comes with a free annual tune-up. I highly recommend Costco and Collins Comfort Masters, and be sure to ask for Victoria Malley. She will ensure that you fully understand your options and help guide you in making the right decision. read more

What a waste of my time. I passed by the rep at Costco and told them I was interested in a water softner, but I needed a plumber at my house due to the complexity of the install. They said no problem and arranged for an in home consultation and estimate. But, they sent a salesman. I am giving 4 stars because there were multiple instances of customer service reps telling my grandmother they would call her back the same day and they did not. I even spoke with a supervisor, Adriana, who promised to call back by noon on Friday and even she did not. When I called back after she did not, she wouldn't even get on the phone. Rather, she told the rep to transfer me to someone else. But finally the service manager, Robert, stepped up and made sure my grandmother got taken care of. My grandmother is very happy and the A/C is working very well so they did right by her when all is said and done. My one piece of advice to the company, Instill in your reps the importance of following through and doing what they say. If you say you're going to call back, you should call back, whether you have any news or not. read more

Collins Master (Kye) came out to our house yesterday to check our A/C unit due to running more than normal. They wanted $380 just to determine the leak. Well we are like its only 5 years old should have a leak. So we called a friend that does A/C for a living and stated it wasn't a leak, it was actually the filter. When we went out to the unit we noticed I had "locks" on my to knobs which prevents me from getting into the A/C unit. I checked a few neighbors in the neighborhood and NONE had a lock. I called Collins to tell them I need them to come out and take the locks off, I didn't authorize them to put these on. They told it me it wasn't a key it is a "tool" that takes the locks off. I said I have someone out here to fix it and now they can't because Collins put the lock on. What kind of mess is this. read more

Collins comfort installed something new on my AC as well as servicing at. To begin with the Tech inadvertently double charged to me for my visit which was just under $500. It has been several days and I have not seen a credit on my bank account. So I contacted customer service and Natalie who refused to give me her last name refused to give me the tax contact information refused to send me to accounting so that I could talk to them and make sure the credit was submitted. Then she proceeded to tell me that she will send an email to accounting, but she can't guarantee they will ever contact me. What kind of customer service is that if you are thinking of buying through Costco or through Collins and air conditioner from them run, don't walk away because these folks once they got your money they're done with You. We have had Collins come to service out AC units for a few years now, but this year we had the worse experience and will never use them again. When they came out, all units were functioning with no issues. All units are 5 years old or less. Now we have to replace our mini split because they broke it and have failed to fix it properly. They have been to our property 4x (including original service call). When the tech was servicing the mini split, he placed a tool into the unit and broke the fan wheel. After the service was completed, the unit was shaking/vibrating and making a lot of noise. They came back, confirmed the issue and the part was ordered. The part was replaced and the shaking and noise continued. The last time they were here, they sent a supervisor/manager. The unit still vibrated and we were told that it was normal and the vibration would not damage the unit. They had drilled holes (4 holes. 3 on left and 1 on right) in the unit and there was a screw in one of the holes that was not attached to anything. They had also put a piece of foam between the unit and the wall to pad it. After giving them ample chances to fix, I contacted another company for a second opinion. As we suspected, the unit was unbalanced and was no longer securely anchored to the wall. It could not be determined if there was any internal damage, but there was more substantial vibration on the left (internally) like there was something else broken internally. The tech that gave us the second opinion was able to secure it to the wall and balance the unit. Unfortunately, it appears that something else in the unit is broken/unbalanced and the vibration continued. I have called Collins and asked to speak to a manager about this issue at least 2 times now. They are never available and I have been told that they will call me back. I have not heard back from them. It is disappointing to say the least. I will be contacting the BBB and Costco (since Costco works closely with them and may want to reconsider) to give my feedback. We are out the $ we paid Collins for the "service" and now I am having another company replace our mini split before any further damage is done to our wall. I noticed lots of recent negative reviews for Collins. Something has changed there. Stay away from this business. read more

Thier follow up service is absolutely terrible and unacceptable. They have also cost me time off work to be available only for them to cancel on me 2X. I can not recommend this company to anybody.
