Alex was the one that installed the air condition. I was also very impressed with him. He was a very hard worker nonstop did not take a brake. We selected AC Experts to install our HVAC system after speaking with friends in our gated Shea community as well as interviewing several HVAC companies personally and reviewing others on the Web. We were impressed with the time that was given to us by the estimator, Kid, and by Matthew who is the Operations Manager who assisted in the install of our HVAC unit. Throughout the interview process and install, we found them to be courteous, professional and respectful. The price they gave us for the purchase of this system was more than fair compared to other companies we interviewed. They were also punctual in showing up timely, as promised, to install our system. They used drop cloths so as not to leave a mess on our floors and also did a great job of cleaning up after the install was completed. We feel especially good about choosing this company for the backing they will provide us maintenance and any service needed in the years ahead. I've had my AC for just 18 months. Very happy until it shut down (onthe hottest day on record) AC Experts came out same day, however informed me that they don't have the parts on hand to repair. SO MUCH FOR A 10 YR. WARRENTY! I was informed that it would take 7 days. They have made no compensation for me whatsoever. I borrowed 2 portable units and my less than 1000 sq. ft. condo is still at 87°.. I'm sadly disappointed at the way they have handled my situation and I'm only 18 mos. I have used Ac Experts since March of 2021. They installed a new Air Conditioner and Heater. I have had no problems with the units. I have them come out every six months and do semi annual maintenance through a maintenance program. . I would highly recommend this company. They misdiagnosed our ac issue (failed coil and condenser) which was still under mfg warranty. They quoted $180 for expidiTed (3-5 day) shipping, then $1,800 to replace coolant, then shut down the ac. We heard nothing for 10 days despite leaving several messages. They finally returned our calls to let us know the part was in Texas, but for $900 they could come and probably get us running, then charge the other $900 when parts were installed. This after waiting for 10 days with no ac. We called another repair shop who came over early the next morning and had the unit running in 15 minutes (loose wire), then spent another 45 minutes ensuring no other issues. The good news. We paid them nothing (more then they were worth) and the unit is now running fine. read more

Yesterday morning I woke up to our upstairs A/C unit not working. I had called a few companies but they weren't able to come out same day. Interestingly enough, I opened my door and found coupons from A/C Experts for free service, 15% off for front-liners and healthcare workers and a few other offers so we gave them a call. The technician came out and when I explained what was going on and the fact that our unit had previously had a Freon leak he advised me that we needed to replace our upstairs system- without even taking a look at it. My husband was busy on shift so I was left to handle the situation (knowing nothing about HVAC) and with it being 116 degrees with 3 children, in desperation for keeping them cool- I asked for pricing. The technician came in with pricing and I was told I had 2 options, one being $11,500 and the other $6,000 if I paid cash. I started to pull out my debit card and was told it needed to be in actual CASH and was asked if I had it, I told him I don't have that kind of cash on hand so he said it would be $6400 if I used my debit card. It was in that moment that I realized I was uncomfortable and told him I really wanted another opinion before I proceeded. He then said he wanted to take pictures and take a look at the unit and when he did that he told me my units were mismatched (never been told this before) and this would be an additional $300 to fix. I also mentioned the coupons from the flyer I received that morning (15% off for front-liners and healthcare & free service call) and was told the price I was offered was better than the coupons and was charged $65 for the service call. Later that evening, another company was able to squeeze us in and came out an hour later. When the new technician arrived, he turned off our downstairs unit in order to tell which unit was malfunctioning and I quickly realized the technician from A/C Experts quoted me on the WRONG unit!!... The new technician assessed our unit and found the compressor was dead, he was able to replace and recharge the unit- a much more cost effective solution than replacing the entire system. Quick recap: 1. The A/C Experts technician did not even assess our units before saying they needed to be replaced. 2. Did not honor the "coupons" from the flyer distributed that morning. 3. Quoted on the entirely wrong unit/system. 4. When the units were "assessed" it was the wrong system and we were told they would need to be swapped out resulting in additional charges and fees. To say that this company is practicing shady, fraudulent business would be sorely understated.... read more

We recently were in need of a new AC unit. I received quotes from multiple companies and decided to go with AC Experts. One concern I had with the initial quote was it did not include increasing the return size for the new unit. I had them reevaluate our needs and the salesman, agreed that a larger return was warranted and wrote increasing it into the contract. I signed and we scheduled for the next week. They came out, installed the new unit, but failed to increase the return. Additionally, they left a jumble of wires hanging out of the air handler in our garage - it looked lazy and amateur (see picture). I contacted the salesman about it and sent him a picture. They had a different technician come out the next week to clean it up (which he did, it looks ok). At that time I also had them assess the air flow to the unit as they had not increased the return as originally contracted to do. Upon investigating, he found that the 1 week old compressor was shutting off due to... "Lack of return air". They agreed to have someone come out and do the ductwork. When the guy came out to do the ductwork, he said very little to me and appeared to be frustrated that he had to do this work (it was the same guy who did the initial install). When work was completed, I asked what work was done and he rolled his eyes and said: increased the return, like we said we would. I asked about the compressor and he said it wasn't his job. Awesome. I called AC Experts the next chance I had (3 days later) and asked if they'd be sending someone out to check the pressures and air flow. They said they'd be happy to for a $65 service fee. No thanks, I'm not the one who screwed up. I then emailed the guy who fixed the wires and saw the air flow issue, was said I "should be good to go." It is frustrating to hire a company to do thousands of dollars of work, on something I know little about, and then essentially have to fight to get the job done correctly. AC is their business not mine. Things like return size and end product appearance should be on their radar...as supposed experts. If you use this company, inspect the work carefully. It might even be worth paying to have a second company come in and inspect the final product...I was definitely not satisfied with my experience. read more

Honestly feel so lucky to have found this company. We had Parker and Sons initially come out to our house in Gilbert because we suspected one of our two ac units to be going bad.. they came and after a few min of inspecting they tried to make me buy a whole new compressor for $5,000!!! We knew that couldn't be right especially because our home is no more than five years old so we called AC Experts and we had the pleasure of meeting a tech named Efren. We told Efren our situation and he walked us through and explained all the series of tests that they're to do and turns out both compressors are nearly perfect and it was just a loose plug and failing capacitor. It was only a $300 fix rather than $5000!! Our experience with AC Experts has been wonderful and Efren is fantastic. I'm glad to have found an honest company. read more

I had my current Trane unit installed in 2012 under a different company. AC Experts bought them some time ago. There were some miscommunications with the other company which AC Experts professionally handled. I'm a believer in keeping my AC unit maintained, especially being ready for the brutal AZ summers. Every six months one of their techs comes out and does a solid diagnostic on it For the last couple years, I think, I've had the same tech do my PM (preventative maintenance) service---his name is Kid. He has always been friendly, professional, always lets me know if anything has been wrong and very transparent about things. He's always answered any questions I may have had and has always been very close to the scheduled appointment time. I have another 2.5 years on my current PM contract and I'm certain I'll remain very pleased with AC Experts as long as all their techs provide the personable and professional service Kid does. read more

This is the worse AC company we have ever felt with. Our AC stopped cooling on Tuesday so we called AC Experts, who installed our new AC 4 years ago. They came out and looked at the into and saw oil and immediately said that the outside coil had a leak, without doing any real investigating. The Tech said to replace the coil into was 1600.00 since it was under construction warranty we just had to pay for the labor and the freon which was as $95 per pound at 16 pounds. We got a second opinion and after an hour and doing a soap test, they found the leak and it was not the coil and they ended up saving us a lot of money that we did need to spend. read more

We needed to replace the air conditioner and furnace in our house and the combo unit in the guest house. We were told that the best time (price-wise) was in January. After searching through several different companies and receiving estimates, we went with AC Experts. They did a great job. They were here on time. They did the work quietly and competently. And when I had a small follow up issue, they responded timely. We've had the units for a little over a month now and they are working well. AC Experts answered the phone and set me up for same-day service a few hours later. Their technician Erick Rebolledo arrived on time, explained exactly what he found and was doing, and did the work quickly and effectively. What struck me was that he offered comments and answered questions in a way that allowed me to understand the short and long term work, and how my unit failed. We have a contract with this company through 07/2019. We had a scheduled cleaning for today (for which is in our contract) and they cancelled this afternoon after not showing up at all. This happened last year due to an emergency also. People work so that is a hard thing to deal with as you have to plan to be home for them to come. After not showing up we did research on purchasing a new unit. Apparently it voids our contract if we get a new one from somewhere else for $3000 cheaper. Now they are refusing to call us back about servicing our current one (we already paid for) and say they can not until next week at the earliest. Terrible customer service. I may have been a angry on the phone because I was upset we were cancelled yet again. But then I was even hung up on by the supervisor when asking when someone would be out here sooner then next week as we couldn't wait that long and we had called last week to schedule for today. read more

This is a great company to do business with if your looking for quality and honest business start here. When Scott the salesman from AC-Experts came out I wasn't sure what to expect. What I found was a salesman more interested in what I really needed he asked if I had made any upgrades to the house and based on those changes like added attic insulation, all double pane windows and Solar panels he offered the 14 seer single stage unit (lower cost) and we proceeded from there. Once the unit was installed and running, I found that the unit (placed between two bedroom windows) was louder than the old unit. They sent out a foremen to check it out and he agreed that it was indeed too loud for the placement. It required a two stage unit. The owner said they would replace the 14 seer at the price Scott told me the 16 seer would be but, it seemed that an old catalog had been used and now it needed to be moved up to a 17 seer unit. Bottom line the old was replaced with the new at the original price of the 16 seer and no additional labor charges. I am totally sold on any company that stands behind its products and delivers such quality service above and beyond. read more

We used this company in the past when they were AC Smart. Previously they did a tune-up and a repair. We had no issues with them other than they were a bit of a pushy with their sales tactic. When our AC needed a tune-up again I called them for a quote and they actually extended our previous "warranty contract" to include a free tune-up...awesome! Guy comes out today and was nice, presentable, came on time (within the quoted time-frame). I don't think he even did a tune-up on either of our units (cleaned them, check levels, etc), but can't prove this. After checking them out he found a repair and suggested some add on parts to make our units more "efficient." He quoted us and started pushing a warranty, which up until this part was completely fine and appreciated. However, when we explained we were getting another quote on the repairs and would let him know if we would use his service he switched to high pressure, pushy salesman/rude (in my opinion). He got frustrated asking why we didn't trust him, went on about how there is no loyalty in this business, had he not earned our trust in the past, even had the nerve to say that the company basically did our past repair for cost (yeah, I'm sure they did), it became very clear that he must be commission based. AC company who came a few hours later and knew they were giving us a quote had a completely different attitude. No pressure sales! Afternoon company even found that both our units were low on coolant (this is why I think he didn't even service the units, no mention of this earlier) and the add on AC Expert had recommended was not needed or warranted. I gave them a 1 star because I despise the high pressure sales tactics and the pushing of warranties, not to mention parts we don't need. The warranty may be a great deal, but I am the kind of person that likes to research and cost compare along with repairs. Avoid them and go for a non-pushy company! read more

Brian is amazing! He came out within 3 hours of us calling because our air conditioning was completely out. He was professional and kind. He even asked if he could give my dogs treats, which was so sweet! He figured out that I needed a new motor and made it his top priority to get the part. When he found out that the manufacturer would not have the part in for a week he called everywhere to hunt it down for us. Then after hours of research told the manufacture that there was no part in the valley and that rush shipping would not be enough when we have 100 degree weather. He got the manufacturer to agree to give him the part out of one of their brand new units. He had it installed within 24 hours. I have never had this great of service with an AC company. Yesterday afternoon around 4:30 my 12 year old AC unit stopped blowing cold air. The temperature was about 109 at the time. I called several companies and was told we can get to you tomorrow afternoon or even Wednesday. AC Experts employee Dawn answered the phone and said her technician was in the far east valley. We made an appointment for 11-2 today but she said if she could get someone out sooner she would. She was very nice and helpful! At 8:15 p.m. I received a call from Brian Flynn who said he would be happy to come out if it was ok. I was thrilled. The house was heating rapidly and it was going to be a long night. Brian arrived at 8:30 and fixed the two blown capacitors on my unit which fixed the problem. Brian was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and it could not have been a better experience.
