I am updating this review because right after I posted this, and registered my displeasure with the HOA management, I immediately received reimbursement for the charge I was complaining about. As I stated in the review below they were on time and the work was fine. And, apparently if you complain long enough they will get back to whatever bothers you. So if you call them out you will probably get the work done properly and my impression was they will tell you the truth about the work you need done. Just be sure to check the bill afterwards. Original post appears below This is just to let people know the work Peavler does is as good as probably anybody else, however, you need to make sure and check the invoice for additional unauthorized charges when they are done. On June 9, 2023 Peaveler was sent by the HOA management staff to do some repairs on the air conditioning in a condominium in Mesa. The technician arrived on time, did all the proper assessment work, and then did some repairs requested by the condominium owner. There is no complaint with the work done. During the work being done the technician was informed that another air conditioning company had been there the day before and done a complete checkup on the air conditioning. When the invoice was presented it contained an additional charge for a checkup call. The homework questioned the extra charge at the time but paid the bill because the technician said they would check with their management and request that the charges for the unnecessary checkup call be reimbursed. On two occasions a call was made to Peavler air conditioning and we spoke to a woman named Jayme who informed us she would have to speak with her management, and she would get back that day. In both occasions no call was made back to the condominium owner and nothing was done about these unnecessary charges. Today another call was made to Peavler air conditioning who did not answer the phone. A message was left in regard to the invoice number and the work and so far no return call has been received. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT use Peavler. They installed our Trane 4 years ago. We had a simple annual maintenance service done by another company who noted they thought the compressor was going out. We contacted Peavler for a 2nd opinion since they installed it. The appointment played out like a soap opera. They said someone else had worked on it so they wouldn't do anything today, but had to discuss back at the office and would get back to us to reschedule the diagnosis. This afternoon, after not hearing from them, we called and were screamed at (literally) by one of the managers that they wouldn't touch it. If course they had no problem taking $99 from us yesterday and here we are with no diagnoses. Something strange is happening with that business. Stay away! read more

I want to thank Peavler Air and Heating for the excellent job on my new HVAC replacement. All aspects of the job were outstanding. The scheduling, the on time appointments, paperwork, and quality of the services were first-rate. The pricing was very competitive too. The installation crew was great. A special thank you goes out to Matthew who was my salesman and made sure the install, thermostat programing, clean up, and paperwork went smoothly. Don't bother with this company! Made an appointment for last Wed. No one called, no one showed. Technician named Manny seems to call the shots for the business. No apologies. Will be purchasing two new AC units for my home soon, but this behavior cost Peavler my future sales and business! read more

If I could give less than one star, Peavler air would get it. The owner Blake and his staff are a complete joke. I believe in complete transparency so here is what took place. I personally installed a mini split system AC system after being quoted $8,500 from Peavler to install a single zone wall mounted unit. After two days of it working flawlessly the Schrader valve on the charging port Started to leak. The condenser unit I thought was low on Freon so I called to ask if Peavler could please come out on a PAID Service call to verify if the Freon had leaked enough that I needed to add more. At first Jerome, the customer service representative said absolutely no problem took down all my information and we made an appointment for the following day. Once Blake found out that he did not receive the $8,500 for the install he told Jerome to call back and cancel the appointment. Jerome told me over the phone ,man to man because Blake didn't not get his $8,500 for the installation I can go screw myself while laughing under his breath. This is the second time Peavler has quoted me a ridiculous amount for a single zone mini split installation. I paid Peavler $600 for a warranty fix on a train unit And also was part of their loyalty program for many years on my previous residence AC unit. The lack of integrity that Blake and Peavler air showed During this situation has really gone downhill from previous experiences and business transactions that I've had with Peavler air and Blake! It's looking more and more like Peavler air is not in the business of actual HVAC work but more on the lines of ripping people off, lying and only are willing to help if it's a new customer and they might make thousands. It's quite funny it honestly reminds me of a boy at a park that didn't get picked to play and takes his ball and goes home crying to mommy!! I would strongly consider staying as far away from Peavler air as possible. read more

Not sure why it says it's closed. Jeremy and Blake are great! Thorough and reliable! I trust them with my AC units for multiple properties. Jeremy came within the hour yesterday and worked late into the evening to fix everything needed. He also got another unit up and running without disturbing my tenants during a difficult time. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Peavler. They did the inspection on my AC unit when I first purchased my condo, and gave me super realistic expectations about the longevity of the unit. Shortly after I moved in, I broke it by trying to install a Nest thermostat, and they were able to schedule a service call within less than 24 hours. They didn't even tell me what an idiot I was for installing my Nest incorrectly and shorting a fuse in the unit! This morning, I awoke the the absolutely jarring sound of what appeared to be my house crumbling to the ground and/or an alien invasion. Unclear at the time. I felt like I was in Donnie Darko and a piece of an airplane was going to fall through my house any moment. Turns out, it was just my AC. In a panic, I called Peavler and they were able to schedule a service call for me in less than six hours. Pretty rad. Admittedly, they tend to run behind, but I would expect that from an AC company in Phoenix in June. I was that annoying person who called an hour and a half later like "Yo, where you at?" and they were so kind, and so apologetic. 10/10, would recommend. read more

I was truly Amazed ! These are my new GO TO People !! Not only were they on time...kept me informed...Got the job done quickly...Found the needed part, when another company told me it may be weeks to find the part !!! AND the best is yet to come...Their price was MORE than half of what the other company wanted to charge me...That makes my skin crawl...Check prices people...they are gouging the heck out of people...BUT do yourself a favor and give this company a try.... read more

Absolutely love these guys, they just left the house everything was protect ed, while they replaced my handler in my attic . the floors were protected, the walls were protected, they went out of their way to clean up every speck and left my home better than it started. Several members of my family have used Peavler A/C and Heating. My ac sounded like it was laboring so I called Peavler. Jeremy Owen arrived within 24 hours. Another tech, Dale arrived to help. My ac had not been serviced in more than a decade. The job was extensive and the bill was very reasonable. My a/c was turned off for approximately 2-3 hours so we barely broke a sweat. I was impressed with the techs and with Blake, the owner. My hope is that my a/c won't need any work done on it for the next few years, but if I need to get it checked and repaired I'm calling these people and asking for Jeremy and Dale. read more

My 4 bedroom house was not cooling properly (114 degrees outside) and I was worried that the AC had not been serviced in a year or 2 and I knew the AC unit was over 20 years old. My landlord first asked Blake from Peavler Cooling to call and follow up with me and set up an appointment to check the unit. Blake said he would call us back but did not respond to our phone calls for 3 days and when he finally showed up without calling he said " miracles do happen" and laughed. He said the unit was running 7 degrees to warm and was going to check it. After 20 minutes on my roof working on something and when he came down said the unit was working fine and didn't do anything to it. He did not test the vent after he worked on it on the roof. After he was done he got into his truck without saying a word, just walked out and sat in his truck. When I asked him how old the unit was he stalled a said it's not new. I asked him the year and was silent. I asked him if it was the original and Blake said no. So gave us no info and the unit is still running sluggish as before and doesn't cool properly. I think he was covering for the landlord by telling me the unit is fine and not telling me the last time it was serviced so the landlord does not have to pay for a new one. ( he told me he has worked with our landlord for years. After he avoided my questions he said very rudely " I have to get to other customers that really need me that have 110 degree houses. Even though we were told it was his last call of the day. Very shady, rude and unprofessional service. I would not recommend Blake or Peavler Cooling to anybody trying to stay cool this Summer. read more

This is the most trust worthy AC business I have ever used. Numerous others upcharge but Peavler is honest and fair. I've saved thousands of dollars because of them. They also do a nice job explaining the issue with pictures. And to top that, he explained ideas to help the air flow in our Comdo. Class act!!!! read more

We had an awfully horrible experience with a new AC install several years ago (see Cool Breeze review....and listen to me throw angry punches in the air). Luckily we found Blake, owner of Peavler, a few years back, and he helped nurse the sad system along until recently when it up and vomited in the yard. One unit was 'stick a fork in it' dead. Instead of throwing anymore $$ at this cursed sad system, we had Blake rip out everything. I burned a few smudge sticks and had a priest perform the exorcism after the removal. Blake knew my wife was picky, but I was pretty sure not to the degree - if the woman got sent to Hell and someone found a nice comfy chair for her to sit in, brought a table over, poured a tall glass of cool water, and pointed a fan in her general direction, she would be pissed there was no lemon slice in her glass. Ha! I thought, Blake you are in for a treat. Little did I realize the man is cut from the same cloth. He gave her a hard hat and called her 'The Inspector'. What they installed was a thing of beauty. I started getting an ulcer thinking about the size of the bill. The Inspector was asking for (and getting) all sorts of extras. A two day job turned into 4 days. In the garage they even sheet rocked around the metal return air drop vents (Blake's idea). And get this, they even moved the concrete slab away from the house to provide better air movement. We have dual zone AC's, and the slab was over 6' long & a foot thick, so it must have been over a 1,000 lbs. And he made sure the slab tilted slightly so rain would drain away from the house. Incredible. His final bill was more than reasonable - a few $100 over the original quote. We paid him about ~$2K more than the awfully horrible install of the sad Goodman AC system back in 2009, and this had a 1/2 ton upgrade on one of the units, and both are a couple seer higher, AND are Trane's! Blake even rebuilt the air handler pedestal in the garage, insulated it, and sealed it. This man does not advertise - I can see why. It would be a waste of honest money. Blake is a rare find. I was convinced his kind went extinct long ago. May his gene pool increase. read more
