I used True North for an annual check on a/c. It was only ok. Did not seem to provide the # of check and service points that I am accustomed to with Scottsdale Air or Day and Night. Felt more like a "let's see what we can find and write up an estimate on some things they probably don't really need" visit on two 6 year old a/c units . And I didn't receive the recap from visit or estimate or receipt until over a month later. Good thing the extra things they identified weren't critical. Holy Moley! Missed opportunity for them. I always believe that if you do a good job and earn trust on the small things you will get the call when the big ticket items come around. Plus the guy left my recycle bin that he moved in the middle of the street in front of the house instead of the curb. I expected better based on some of the prior reviews for this company. read more

True North did not respond to an email question I had prior to signing their contract for them to repair my AC unit for $1700+ nor did they ever contact me again. This was during peak of summer with AC unit not working at all. I found someone else and actually ended up buying a new unit because issue was more than what True North diagnosed it as. Will give two stars because at least the tech was on time and courteous. read more

Jacob did a great job servicing my AC units. Was very clear on the plan and process. Listened to the concerns we had around the house and educated me on items in question. He took the time to give recommendations for my unit that were noticed (not an up sale but items to be aware of for future recommendations, with photos to explain in detail) Very happy with the experience read more

I'm glad other people have had success with this company but that has not been my experience. When I called to get an appointment for maintenance it was 2 weeks out, but I figured that was fine. Then the afternoon before my appt. they texted to see if we could reschedule because they had multiple unexpected repairs. Because it was extremely hot I was willing to let them work on homes without air. They rescheduled me 1 week out. Today is my appt. and they have texted again to say that they cannot make it because of more unexpected repairs. Tomorrow is the day I needed it done by so now I am left with no visit and no recourse. read more

True North came thru for us when our current A/C company ghosted us. Tristen answered our call Memorial Day evening - a real person, not AI! - and got us an appointment the next day. From Tristin, to our technician Jacob, the whole experience was wonderful. The professionalism, knowledge and personality of both made this a great experience for us. They will be our A/C company going forward. Highly recommend! read more

They came to do service of $97, but mostly showed photos and made the appointment about an upsell for more cleaning and didn't do the light cleaning mentioned in the ad and email. I've heard they are great, but the pricing for cleaning of evaporator coils was very high. read more

Excellent!! My master bedroom had easily been 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house for the 25 years we had lived in it. We had the previous air conditioner installed 14 years before and several other companies out to resolve the hot zone, but they did not fix the issue. I received many quotes on a new system when I needed a new one, but True North provided the best pricing for the newest energy efficient model. The service from beginning to end was top notch. Micah, the installer, found the issue that several service techs did not. My master bedroom is finally comfortable. Their team helped me to get the applicable rebates. I highly recommend this service!! Thank you!! read more

Quote was accurate and equipment was installed as advertised. Staff was impeccably well mannered and tidy. It's been a few months and everything is still working perfectly. Recommended read more

I've lived in Chandler since 2001. I've had various A/C issues and various contractors. Some clearly are out to sell you a new unit. Others don't seem to have the knowledge and experience to work on modern systems, especially when the diagnosis is over their head. I had True North (Trevor) out to my home for the first time yesterday to diagnose a problem that another contractor wanted me to throw a lot of money at. Trevor is the A/C whisperer/detective. I told him what I had been experiencing - an intermittent cooling problem and he also took extremely detailed measurements at the unit. He solved it like a puzzle, taking various behaviors from the unit and measurements into account to form his conclusions as to the best action to take right now... all using facts and evidence. There was no hard sell. There were no looks of confusion. There was no "rip and replace" approach. Trevor clearly loves what he does and I immediately felt comfortable that he was treating the problem as though it were his own home and A/C unit. This early hot spring season is now nice and cool inside for us. In short - I'm blown away by the level of expertise and service I received yesterday. To be candid, the intermittent issue had been stressing me out last fall, along with a very high repair estimate from another firm that would likely not have solved the problem. True North has earned my business for all future maintenance and repairs. This is how all services companies should be, but only a select few are. Select True North with confidence! read more

They got us on their schedule for later the same day, and Axel came out for us, despite being a weekend. When he called to say he was on his way, my husband had gotten the system working again, so I asked if he still wanted to come out--just to give us a quote. Axel took the time to talk to us about various options for replacing our 20+ year old system and then sent over an estimate with those options. He also verified my husband's fix and thoughts about the overall issue, all for no charge. We'll definitely be calling them again for whatever AC needs we have, from repairs to pulling the trigger on that estimate for a new system. read more

They replied quickly through Yelp and were able to schedule me for the next day. The technician arrived early, was friendly and was able to fix the issue on the same visit. It was quick and I felt like it was affordable for the repair we needed. read more

Called in the early morning and technician appeared at our house by 1:00 PM the same day. Alex was very courteous and quick to diagnose the issue on our exterior a/c unit. He had the suitable replacement part in the truck and completed the repair in just about an hour's time. Will use again if/when we have an issue. Highly recommend read more

They showed up quick and on time. Diagnosed our issue, came up with a plan and came back a few days later for install. The techs were straightforward with us and we didn't feel pressure for more services than what we needed. Great experience and highly recommend! read more

Micah got here in 10 minutes and fixed the issue 10 minutes after that....great service!! True North will be my first call moving forward.

Micah showed up on time, was friendly, knowledgeable, and replaced the blower motor in a jiffy! Price was reasonable, and I was offered multiple options for repair/replacement so I could choose what fit my budget. Will definitely use True North again for future needs. read more

They are the best. A true repair company. They will not just throw up their hands and say "it's broke and you need new systems" . Unlike some other companies, and I am saying this as a Marine veteran. If you are looking for honesty, and competency, look no further. I highly recommend True North. read more

Absolutely amazing service. AC broke, they came out same day and hours before expected and fixed us right up! Exceptional service! 10/10 would recommend read more

Needed to have AC looked at (making loud noise) and I used them for service. Called on Sunday and was told someone would come out Tuesday morning. Then got a call the next day that something came up and they could come on Friday. I appreciated the communication but not the longer wait. The tech came out and did a diagnostic (separate $97 fee that doesn't go toward fixing), then went and got a part and I paid $388 total for fixing one part and getting my system checked out. He also gave me quotes on a future unit because he suggested replacing it entirely, which I suspected he would do. Overall a good experience with good communication. May consider them in the future if we need a new unit (lowest price was going around $10K). read more

True North performed A+ diagnostic work and repair for 2 A/C Units Quick turn around time Highly Recommend read more

Be aware of overpricing. Taking advantage of senoirs Took advantage of us and priced a $20 replacement part at over $300.

I began having a problem with the heating portion of my central A/C. I called True North and got immediate response. Trevor diagnosed the problem and provided solutions. Very quickly, installation technicians arrived, along with Trevor, to open a new intake and repair some problems. The installation pair worked quickly and installed a very nice new 20x20 intake. Later, my wife said she was impressed with how clean and neat they had left the area; no additional cleanup was required. Very rare in our experience. Trevor replaced the parts that were not functioning and made adjustments to get the proper air flow and timing correct. We could not be happier with the professionalism, rapid response, and special effort put in to get us back in working order. Trevor and this crew were OUTSTANDING. I look forward to doing business with True North in the future. read more

One of the drivers for this company is so incredibly rude and unprofessional that I have to leave an unfavorable review. The driver who delivered the commercial units on Alma School and Chandler on 8/19 not only needs driving lessons and parking lessons, but needs some very serious lessons on manners and overall human decency. Cannot fathom how anyone employs such a person to represent their company. read more

Great service from True North Air Conditioning! Josh came out to estimate the work for 2 new AC systems, the quote was very competitive. The installation team came out 2 days later and finished the system set up. The whole process was very smooth. I am so happy that I found this great company, I will definitely use them again for my future AC needs. read more

I really wanted to like these guys and paid a premium to have them install a new AC Unit. Unfortunately, I was left with the feeling that I over paid for a job that was mediocre. In all honesty, I would have been better off using a smaller outfit, like an owner operator, or just going with a big box shop like depot. For what they charge, you are expecting top quality work. What you'll get is very mid-level, 5 out of 10. That said, I will say they are pretty quick to respond. I think they ordered and installed a new unit in about 3 days. read more

Very quick to respond, honest with what needed repaired and price was fair. Considering it was done in the middle of summer, I was very pleased. read more

They came out same day to repair the unit and were extremely friendly and communicative.

My AC went out & right away I knew I would need a new blower motor. Trevor came out to look at my unit, and let me know that's what the issue was. He was so kind & compassionate & the company expedited the shipment of the motor since it was going to take 4-6 days to get to AZ from GA. He cleaned up my unit & I signed up for the biannual service for the next four years. It's so comforting to have a company I can rely on now to take care of my unit (and make it last as long as possible before replacement). I highly recommend this company, and specifically Trevor! read more

Excellent response and fast service did not upcharge me and it was a simple fix even told me to call him the next day if the minor fix worked or not read more

Our AC wasn't working so we called True North for diagnostics. The technician was professional and did a good job. But, after our AC was working again, he offered to replace some corroded wires and didn't tell us it would be over $275 (the actual wire probably costs well under $50 and it took 20 minutes). We could have done it ourselves if we had known, it was that easy of a replacement. The diagnostic service might be an ok price, but any additional work will be very expensive. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this company. I was blown away by the customer service and the quality of the work. One side of my house wasn't cool and it was due to my duct work. They came out in record time and did a fantastic job on 8/31. Great group of guys came out and got the job done well. They did a great job and took time to be aware of the surroundings and were careful. Very professional, friendly, and funny. Again, amazing service and great pricing. Give them a call and find out for yourself! read more

I used YELP in order to find the best company to assist with a new HVAC system for my home. I compiled my quotes, looked over customer reviews and chose True North. I am glad that I did my homework and chose them. They quoted a very good price, but this decision required more than that. I needed to know that the experience would end positively. And it did. The guys all knew exactly what they were doing. There was no mess at all, and we were not inconvenienced in any way at all. After they finished, an associate that does drywall work came out and repaired the hole in the wall that they needed to create to access the furnace and coils in my attic. There was never any pressure before, during or after the install. And the crew was incredibly respectful. I'd gladly recommend them to friends, family or clients. read more

I had an issue with our rental property that the AC was not really blowing cool air on one side of the home. Due to person circumstances of our tenant, it was imperative that we get someone out to at least diagnose/fix if they could same day. I called several A/C companies locally and many could not come out the same day even though they advertised emergency services check up etc. True North came out and gave me a time where they would be able to make it with someone in the area. They ended up coming between 5 - 7 PM and Johnny was a great tech. He understood the situation and for a reasonable fee checked and diagnosed the issue. While the fix wasn't going to be simple, simply having the diagnosis gave us a great next step. True North would be a great company to call if you're looking for someone trustworthy and timely to check on your A/C/HVAC needs. read more

Quick response scheduled a time for the next day. Axel the technician was here for maybe 30 minutes and got everything up and running. Quick and easy. read more

I contacted True North through Yelp and heard back within minutes. I was scheduled soon after. Axel arrived at our house a couple of hours later, diagnosed and fixed our problem quickly and gave us some good advice for the future. He was courteous and personable and I know he'd had to come all the way across town for the appointment in 113 degree heat, so that part is remarkable. I'm deleting the other numbers in my phone for services we've used and not been happy with in the past. True North A/C is our new "go to." read more

These guys are great. I never feel I am being upsold or overcharged. And they analyze and repair issues fast.

Easy to schedule. Very receptive to communication and the onsite tech Jacob was very nice and knowledgeable. Fixed my issue at a fair price. Great option for AC repair. read more

I've used True North several times now for A/C repairs, HVAC and always receive impeccable service. I will never use anyone else! Mike is driven by integrity, quality workmanship and doing things the right way the first time and that is a very rare commodity these days. We had Mike back out a few weeks ago to change around some A/C cold air return lines that were poorly designed and inefficient. Mike brought another tech with him to help with the heavy workload, they removed the old massive 1960 cold air return ducts from a hallway closet and split them into two returns on opposite ends of the house. As always his work is clean, effective and efficient! I could not recommend True North more, I've recommended them to friends, co-workers, customers of mine and anyone else that needs any HVAC work done. They will always be straight forward with you and never recommend you something that you do not need! We've also used several other contractors for various needs that Mike has recommended to us and they've all been just like him, honest, upfront and high quality workmanship! I trust Mike completely and without any reservations and you will too! Thanks again Mike for all of your impeccable work and your honesty! Stop searching and give Mike a call, it will be the best decision you make for your home! read more
