Avoid company and owner , I had a piece of jewelry stolen that's worth $4k from my apartment when they came July 2nd 2025 . Owner Steve Troup tried contacting the complex and get my information because I made a police report on the incident, the owner was told by the complex they cannot give any residence information because it's against the law , the complex then contacted me and stated the owner wanted me to give him a call and that he wanted to resolve the issue . As soon as he answers the phone the owner starts going off on me saying I am lying that his employee never stole the item, he then stated he is willing to pay $2000 for me to drop the case with the police and to remove the review I left on here , after the jewelry store quoted $4k for the exact piece of jewelry he instantly got annoyed and denied trying solving the issue and wanting to pay me . The review was removed but will be back up here and other sites as well as this situation has affected my mental health and still want to pursue a lawsuit against him and the company as he tried scaring me sending me a letter saying if I didn't remove the review I will be going to court . Yelp states 95% of the court cases that go for a review get dismissed as United States has freedom of speech in the first amendment and this was from my experience. read more

The Top Hatter responded quickly to my request for assistance and were able to come to my Home the very next Day. On the Day of the Appointment, 3 Technicians entered my Home and immediately went to work. They cleaned the Vent at the Dryer entry Point and from the exit Point on the Roof. This company was recommended to me by my realtor. I scheduled an appointment with then for 11 AM to 1 PM. When they didn't arrive by 1:00 pm I contacted them and I was told that they would arrive sometime between 2 and 4 PM. They wasted my entire day sitting around waiting for them to show up when they knew that I could not be there past 2:00 PM. The owner reached out to me to apologize, give me a discount, and offer to reschedule with me. I messaged him back to reschedule and still have not heard anything. Basically another unfortunate company (initials are SK, don't use them!) tried to clean my dryer vents and after four times they failed miserably. What a a great chimney sweep company! They were on time with their appointment, affordable, and thorough. The two servicemen that came out were passionate about fireplaces and keeping them running smoothly. They emptied out one or two garbage bags full of soot and debris from our chimney and ash trap. They used a shop-vac and left the place spotless. Now that the weather is cold out (which is unusual for Arizona), we will be using the fireplace regularly. I spent hours comparing companies for duct cleaning services and a/c diagnostic tests in order to find a reputable company with reasonable prices. Terrible costumer service. They called me to let me know they were going to "only" charge for the trip charge (for they were incompetent to complete the job). I said why would I pay for a service that was not done? A trip charge really? The guy replied: ok, I am not going to charge you but DONT CALL US BACK! .............................. I couldn't believe he talked to a costumer that way. Super rude and unprofessional. To reply to your comment: your team was not there for 3 hours. It was 30 minutes max! You didn't find the solution. Due to potential health hazard risks associated with smoke residue left over after the fire, I and my family have been staying at my moms. My dryer started smoking on Monday and I called Top Hatter and got an appointment the next day. The guys that came out were so nice and very professional. They did a fantastic job and they also did something that none of the other companies that I've used in the past...they Roto-Rootered out my entire vent from the top of my house all the way down to my dryer vent. They also used their converted leaf blower and blew it out from the bottom to the top. They said there was a ton of lint that came out. I was so glad to hear that. Who knows how long that had been that way...long enough for my dryer to start smoking and could've caused a fire. I called to get their help to get my cat out of my neighbor's chimney, where she had been stuck since Friday night (today is Wednesday) but only discovered today.
