took our business elsewhere We have reached our decision: we will not be using Hobaica again. Based on our experience, we are not comfortable spending any more of our hard-earned money with this company, particularly after what we experienced with the workmanship, communication, and follow-through. Our review is based solely on our personal experience, our firsthand observations, and the documentation we have retained. When you spend more than $25,000 with a company, you should be able to expect more than a good sales pitch. You should be able to expect quality workmanship, respect for your home, clear communication when something goes wrong, and accountability when problems arise. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. read more

I've been very frustrated with my recent Hobaica experience for my AC. They put in a new AC system in January 2026. By June 2026 when it really started heating up I noticed that even though I would set my AC to 72 it was still reading 77. Over the next couple of months, Hobaica was at my house multiple times, sometimes the same guy, sometimes a different guy -- for hours and hours and hours at a time, with no resolution. Finally they said they were going to need to replace the entire system and relocate the compressor onto the roof as it wasn't apparently getting enough air flow. After literally 16 hours at my house they were finally done. I look up on my roof and this doesn't look right to me -- I have seen ACs on the roof but never one that looks like this -- none in my neighborhood have this and it is a monstrosity. Anyway, it had been about a month since they installed it and it seemed to be working fine until this afternoon -- when an alarm started going off -- I looked in the closet where the unit was and there was water all over the floor. Of course today is a holiday and they only have that AI "person" "Dane" that answers your call and they will call me if they have availability. This is truly unbelievable. Additionally they still have not provided me any of the paperwork from this "new" AC unit after asking a couple of different times -- I really don't understand, is it a "used" unit? Anyway they are supposed to come either tonight or tomorrow -- guess I will wait but so annoying and they better not be here for 10 hours! Not to mention that I worked with them on a bathroom remodel -- which they told me would take about 3 weeks -- almost 4 months later and it still isn't totally completed. Also they installed a vanity that was $3500 more than I had originally been told -- and they never told me, just said that they needed to charge me more because they didn't estimate the cost correctly. I would have likely approved the charge had they come to me before they purchased and installed it so it was really disappointing to hear. I am happy with the remodel even though they still need to put the handle pulls on the vanity -- it just took FOREVER!!! read more

Do not use this company. They will rip you off. Also the quality of work is terrible. Communication is awful. Pricing is really really way to high. don't call these people for anything. they lie about everything and to expensive. they don't know what they are doing. the habaica brothers they don't know how to work on ac unit or fix anything. i spent $1,700.00 to have two new toilets mounted there were two young guys that worked on this that was labor. i bought the toilets myself. i got ripped off calling the habiaca's kids. read more

It is time to eat crow so pass me a big ole fork. I am amending/updating my previous review of one star to 4 stars. Brandon did a tremendous job of personally coming to our home to troubleshoot our A.C. vibration problem. He came up with a few shock absorbing hanging mechanisms to hang our pot rack from. I said I could manage from here and thanked him. The next morning there was more hardware than required for the job I was going to do. Brandon took it upon himself to source and hand deliver the hardware to our home! I didn't give 5 stars only because we had to live with the vibrating pots and pans for 9 months. My bottom line is, they listened to our problem and offered us several solutions to our issue and made sure we were ultimately satisfied. Thank you Hobaica. read more

Alex Diaz came today and completed EVERYTHING as promised ---and with a pleasant smile. Can't wait till he comes back again

We have only been in Phoenix one year. The HVAC system in daughter's new home was fizzling out. Wow! Hobaica was recommended by long time Phoenix resident. "they're family owned and been around the area for decades" I convinced my daughter to use them and I couldn't be more sorry. A brand new system was installed and things were going along well. Once the weather started heating up the brand new HVAC system began to falter. At least 4 different times we had to call Hobaica - technicians here for what seemed like hours trying one solution after another and finally they agreed the entire system they'd installed just six months prior had to be replaced. The replacement took place just over a month ago and yesterday afternoon it broke down. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HECK is going on? Called Hobaica and a tech came out around 8pm. I didn't get the full story but something about a tube was blocked and after an hour the thing was fixed ... I'm skeptical because this is exactly how the brand new 6 month old system began to break down. Sadly I can't recommend this business. read more

After receiving an unexpectedly high repair estimate from another HVAC company, I contacted Hobaica for a second opinion. I was told that second opinions are free of charge, and an appointment was scheduled. Several hours before the appointment, an employee named Ronnie called and asked to come immediately. I explained that I was unavailable because I had another appointment, but he continued to press the issue, raised his voice, asked inappropriate questions, and spoke to me disrespectfully about my request for a second opinion. My daughter heard the conversation on speakerphone and was concerned by the interaction. As a senior citizen on a limited income, I have every right to compare estimates before making an expensive decision. I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. This experience raised concerns about Hobaica's customer service, and I hope the company addresses how customers are treated. read more

Hobaica sent a great technician to do the annual check-up before summer temps go super high. Bryan reviewed the new HVAC system in a timely manner and gave a clear and thourough explanation of his findings. He found an "oops" in the systems's installation and informed his supervisor of the situation. They will contact me for the repair. He was professional ,knowledgeable and pleasant. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others. I scheduled multiple appointments with this company, and not once did they show up as promised. No call, no heads-up, no explanation--just complete no-shows. I rearranged my schedule more than once to be available, only to be left waiting around with zero communication. Trying to follow up was just as frustrating, with repeated calls going nowhere and no accountability on their end. At a minimum, you expect basic professionalism--showing up when you say you will or at least calling if something changes. Unfortunately, that standard was not met here in any way. We have hundreds of air conditioning specialists in Arizona, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and want reliable service. read more

Dear Hobaica Leadership, Our recent experience with your team has made us Hobaica customers for LIFE. It started with a routine A/C check from technicians Justin and James at the end of July. Not only did they provide the excellent service Hobaica has always delivered in the past, Justin also educated us that our service package included a free plumbing inspection. Justin, Kyler, and...Corey (??? - I'm mortified I can't find the post it note where I wrote down everyone's name) arrived within just a few days...we had no idea the positive impact this visit would have on our day-to-day lives. My husband and I knew when we bought this home 10 years ago that eventually there'd be plumbing issues. The house was built in 1999, there's never been a water softener, the master bathroom shower has *never* had strong, consistent water pressure and let's just say the previous owners were...creatively thrifty in how they "fixed" things. Bottom line: the plumbing was a hot mess. The inspection yielded worse-than-expected dismal results: a shower leak in the guest bathroom, a toilet that was begging to be put out of its misery, old/frozen valves for the washing machine and almost all the sinks and toilets, a sprinkler system plumbing issue AND no pressure in the master shower. I also managed to sneak in an inquiry about installing a water softener system - something I've wanted for YEARS. Enter Kyler: the man with the patience of a SAINT. OF. A. SAINT. And the knowledge, kindness, listening skills and follow-through like no one I've ever seen. I'm a nurse of 15 years and a legal nursing consultant - let's just say I'm a person that shows up with LISTS of detailed questions. Not only did Kyler go above and beyond to provide answers ASAP, but he also managed to build an incredible amount of trust with us in a short amount of time and never made us feel like a bother, no matter what we threw at him. LEGEND. On a sweltering August day, we watched Diego and Cesar do the work of 5-6 people; they worked tirelessly. It was ASTONISHING. It was almost super-human how hard they worked and were still patient/kind from the moment they pulled up to the moment they left nearly 12 hours later. Also, a shout-out to Jose who came by for the awesome wall-patching and finish work - it looks great! As expected with anything as tricky as plumbing, a few unexpected complications arose. Kyler was immediately available and took such great care and responsibility to make sure everything was resolved quickly AND to a standard of perfection we weren't even expecting. Again, many kudos to Diego and Cesar for finding a way to squeeze this work in unexpectedly. We were in awe seeing the amount of work they did in such a short amount of time. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Martin, our plumbing scheduling mastermind. With the complications/multiple visits needed, we spent quite a bit of time on the phone. He fielded more of my complicated questions and if he didn't know the answer, he made it his mission to find out right away. Stellar, stellar human being. While this might be the everyday routine of the Hobaica pros, this whole experience was actually very personal to us. It's our 15th wedding anniversary and we've been saving all year to take our first trip to Europe...a lifetime dream for both of us. There was no question by the end of the plumbing inspection that the Eiffel Tower would have to wait and that these repairs were a priority for the longevity and comfort of our home...And we have ZERO regrets. Who knew that my house could feel like a spa? Thank you, Hobaica, for being the trusted partner you are and for making our house feel more like a home than it ever has. But mostly, thank you for hiring the high caliber of people you do. The humanity and care your team shows sets you apart from any service vendor out there. Most sincerely, Holly and Lucas H. read more

We found that our water heater had started leaking and were recommended Hobaica by a friend. They definitely didn't disappoint. He did all the work on our house by himself and we are so impressed! Hobaica Services is a great value and I've recommended my neighbors, friends and my HOA (360 Property Management) to Hobaica. Thank you so much. 2/25/25. ALSO today 2/25/25... BRAYAN, PHOENIX & ANDY came to give me my semi-annual HVAC service. They were exceptionally thorough and professional, cleaning the attic heating unit, the outside air-conditioning compressor, inside ceiling vents, return air vent & filter and more. They made me have a renewed confidence in my home safety and operating efficiency. I highly recommend Hobaica Services and well trained professional employees. They're like Family to me. January 6, 2026, Hobaica performed Preventive Maintenance service on my Lenox Unit, and I was pleased with the results. The Technician was methodical and knowledgeable in performing the service. He replaced a worn contactor and suggested I install a start-assist component to save wear and tear on the compressor start-up. I briefly researched his suggestion and agreed to have him install the component. I gave Hobaica a five-star rating because: (1) Knowledgeable and professional attitude of the Technician (Averlon) (2) Timely scheduling and updates via text messaging (3) Professional and accommodating office staff Excellent work, Hobaica! read more

The Lennox unit this company installed in my home is only 3 years old and already failed. What followed has been a nightmare of conflicting diagnoses, inflated labor quotes, and dismissive treatment. Within six weeks, the company gave me two opposite diagnoses: First, they told me it was the piston and quoted $2,200 in labor. Later, they said it was the compressor and quoted $3,200 in labor (after a "$500 discount"). Here's what matters: pistons don't just "go bad." The only way they clog is if contamination entered the system during installation or from a manufacturing defect. Lennox technical support even told another technician that calling it a compressor failure in this situation was basically a "wild guess." At the same time, a 10° split across the filter dryer was recorded -- another sign of contamination, not a bad compressor. When I questioned this, the manager (Ronnie) told me: "Obviously you trusted the other guy, you are welcome to go with them." That was their "customer service" in the middle of 110° Arizona heat with my kids and pets in an 85° home. What makes this worse is the pattern: the company has over 6,000 google reviews but almost no 2, 3, or 4-star ratings. The few 1-star reviews that do exist describe the exact same issues I went through, inflated labor costs, misdiagnosis, and rude responses. This isn't just one bad repair, it feels like a business model built on taking advantage of people when they're desperate. read more

We had Hobaica come install new unit. They get one star for this because that service was great. The sales person is a HARD sales, talks fast and ok friendly. However a year later after paying for a ten year warranty we get billed 249.00 to keep our warranty active because we are supposed to have them come check the plumbing and electrical in our house. WHAT. How does that keep my HVAC warranty active. I don't want them doing plumbing and electrical. It is a huge scam to say you have to let us inspect your plumbing, sewer and electrical in order to keep my warranty on the HVAC valid. However they said if we didn't our warranty won't stay up to date. I am angry to say the least and I won't recommend them to anyone. We use them at work too and I will make it my mission to find a new company. read more

From the very start to the end, I cannot be more happy or satisfied with Hobaica. Adam, Brandon & Jesse who came out as scheduled to install my new HVAC system replacing my old system could not have been more wonderful, skilled, courteous, caring and efficient. They all worked extremely hard, clean and made sure to keep me updated along the way and answered my many, many questions. They all treated me and my home with the utmost respect. I have been a customer with Hobaica for about 25 plus years and they installed my last unit plus serviced it through the years extremely well. They always call to confirm appointments, arrive close to the appointment times (if delayed which is rare and when it does happen they always communicated with me so I'm aware what is happening), do the work quickly, well, cleanly, completely and always fully test the system to make sure the system works to my full satisfaction before they leave. When Adam, the installer on this project, who was the last to leave, there was not a single piece of debris as he had cleaned up after himself: swept and picked up everything. I cannot be happier with Hobaica, the staff and with regards to this latest engagement, especially with Brandon, Jesse and Adam. It is 100% evident they each take full pride in their respective jobs and worked as a team seamlessly. To be honest, I cannot say enough fantastic things about them and Hobaica. They did not just install a new HVAC system but wholly gave me full peace of mind and a feeling of safety to be well-prepared for the seasons whether cold or hot. I know my HVAC system will be perfectly ready to handle our AZ summer heat in particular. Adam is the tech who performed most of the technical work on this installation and he is SUPER AWESOME. Brandon is the Installation Manager who also is FANTASTIC helped Adam with the removal of the old unit and seating of the new system in conjunction the crane operator as my unit is on my roof top. Jesse is the FABULOUS Customer Service Representative who worked closely with me these past few months and I had requested he also be here so l can meet and thank him for his great care after me. Hobaica management gave him permission to be present for a portion of the installation for which I'm extremely grateful for. Melissa and Tim whom I typically first speak with when I call are so efficient, kind and nice: they set up my appointments and answer all general questions. If not able to, they transfer me to the right person who can help me. For regular service work, what I like is that they try their best to send out the same tech so we can then have an on-going professional relationship. Words can never fully express how grateful, happy and satisfied I am with Hobaica. I highly and without any reservation recommend Hobaica to anyone needing any HVAC service, installation or snug the other home services they offer. I have not yet tried any of their other services but given my experience with their HVAC teams, I would not hesitate to call them for any other service needs I may have. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you. My gratitude and appreciation forever and I look forward to working with you Al for many, many more years. p/s: I'm standing here giving you all a standing ovation, heartily clapping for and cheering loudly for the entire team at Hobaica led by their AMAZING General Manager: Chase and Office Manager: Tina!!!!! read more
