I bought my unit last year from Reeis after being with Hendel's for 18 years. Reeis beat Hendels price so I went with them. Hendels always had someone out the same day for service, with Reeis I'm having to wait over 48 hours for service. I understand it's an holiday weekend, but their sales people tell you, you will have service within 24 hours with their ComfortCare Program. I never had to have a program with Hendel's and got service the same or next day. People do your homework before buying an AC from any company. read more

TLDR: Poor quality products, poor craftsmanship, and if anything goes wrong they'll find any way to make it your fault. Our AC went out 5 years ago and we contacted Reeis for a replacement. Based on all the good reviews online and being promoted by Rosie on the House, we thought we were making the best decision. The sales process of buying a new unit went smoothly but that's where it ended. After the AC was installed I found that they did not wire up the new AC correctly. Only one stage of the AC was able to turn on and the technician argued that it was wired correctly; turns out it they were missing a ground line connection. During the sales process, we had included the installation of a secondary return vent which was not done at the time of install and I had to argue with a tech to get it done. The AC has had a major failure EVERY year since it's been installed. Most recently we spent the Labor Day holiday ( with outside temps reaching above 105F ) without any air conditioning due to the compressor failing (at this point the unit is only 4 years old). They ordered a new one since the unit is still under warranty, but they refused to overnight the part, and due to it being a holiday weekend we were unable to get the repair done for a few more days. The internal temperature of the house reached above 90F during this time. Upon selling our house the inspector found multiple issues with the system. The breaker was not properly sized, the wiring was not properly terminated, grommets were missing, the fan was leaking oil, the list goes on. I had to pay $700 in repairs for their poor craftsmanship and they claimed all this was my fault even though they've been out every year to work on it. A one star review is being generous at this point. I've never had so much trouble with an air conditioner before. I don't believe this company stands behind the products they sell. With how frequently the unit needs to be fixed, I also question the competency of the repair technicians. When spending over $10K on an AC unit I'd expect it to work without flaw for many years. I don't normally write reviews, but I feel other consumers should know the trouble we've had with Reeis and consider taking your business elsewhere. Reeis came out for my fall maintenance check. Arron was the technician servicing my heat pump. Arron is very professional and very knowledgeable. He sat down with us and explained the stats on the unit as well as pictures of what he did. Sad news was the evap coil had a leak that was reading high. No surprise, the unit is 12 years old. We will have it replaced as the readings on the unit were very good. Heads up, everyone in the front office is awesome as well. They have serviced my unit for years. Installed flex venting and insulation. They are a great team! read more

Though I ended-up staying with my old HVAC company for a new AC replacement, I did request an estimate from REEIS. They sent Brian out to assess my old Trane unit and reconfigure a new system. He was prompt, professional, and obviously knew his way around an AC system. He explained some things I never knew or understood about the new, high-tech, high-efficiency systems of today. Their estimate for a new Trane unit is highly competitive and maintenance services are top-of-the-line. If you're shopping for a new HVAC company for a replacement unit or yearly maintenance, give REEIS a call and investigate their prices and services. Last night, just before bedtime, one of our AC units shut down. Never a good thing in 100 degree heat. These units are old enough to legally drink. We were/are planning on replacing them but were waiting until the fall to do this. I called REEis, who have been servicing our systems since we moved here 10+ years ago, and left a message on their after hours emergency line. The recording stated that someone would call back. They did... 15 minutes later. The were extremely helpful and reassuring. I was told that they would have someone there first thing in the morning. They did. At 7 AM their service technician was here and had the system running again in 20 minutes. We still need to replace them but at least now we can be cool while the order is in place. read more

They installed 4 units for my remodel 2 years ago. I have to have a gas valve replaced in one of the units, diagnosed by Southwest Gas to discover the gas leak. I called them to service it and they told me it would be $150 to come out, and after many questions I asked them how much a replacement of the valve would cost. The phone rep told me that it would not be covered under warrantee because I did not sign up for annual maintenance, and that the charge would be anywhere from $700 to $1500. I called Crane to get their suggestion for a service for Trans, they gave me Reliance. Over the phone she looked up my unit, said it was under warrantee, and put me on hold to check if the part was available, it was, and they sent a technician the same day. I bought a brand new home in 2021, my ac stopped working when the temperatures started to rise back in May 2023, reached out to the builder (main contractor) then they said their sub the installed a brand new AC unit was this one then I reached to this company and that's when the fun started. First they sent a tech that spent 4 hours going back and forth and contacting their supervisor here and there... after a while he said it was the TXV that is malfunctioning and that to fix it would be $2500. After that I called another company to get a second assessment. This other company said it was a leak, refilled my unit and the AC is working again. I called this company again to let them know, they at The very least were trying to deceive me and that maybe because MAY was my last month of warranty they didn't want to fix my brand new AC system...long story short they sent a manager and said that for $1400 they can fix the leak, that no need to get the TXV the first guy talked about... Anyways, get someone else these people had the chance to do me right and still were deceitful. read more

I have been working with another air-conditioning company on their annual maintenance plan but they became suspect when they told me I need to replace my entire AC system due to a noisy fan. Antonio came out from REEIS and diagnosed a faulty capacitor supporting the fan. He checked everything else out and promptly replaced the capacitor and the unit sounded great. I joined REEIS comfort club and look forward to having my system checked every six months. This is my review on Yelp after a long time. Two days back my HVAC stopped cooling. We have two units, one for the lower floor and another for the upper floor. The lower floor unit is the one that was giving this issue. I put a request in Yelp and multiple companies reached out. Since REEIS had availability for the same day, I asked them to come over knowing that I would still have to pay for the trip charge. I looked up few videos online before the tech came to understand what the problem might be and it seemed that the capacitor had gone bad. When the tech Antonio came, I told him based on my understanding it might be the capacitor issue. He then went to look at the unit along with me but didn't bother to check the capacitor. His first reaction was this is a refrigerant issue and we need to refill that and quoted $160 per pound. I asked him how many pounds we need and if there is any leak. He said we can't detect the leak untill we refill and then if there a leak we would know after sometime and then would need to fix the leak. I said him to go and check if there is no other issue, he put his meters and showed me some readings after a while and told me there is a bad news that the compressor was bad and not able to cool and would need a replacement. He then gave me a quote for $3000 and I told him I would like to think as that's a big amount. He took the trip charge and left. Next day I called another company referred by my friend Chas Roberts to come over for a second opinion. The tech went with me to the outside condenser unit and based on the sound he immediately said that it's the capacitor issue and we just need to replace that. He gave me a quote for $225 including the trip charge as the part was covered under warranty. I happily went ahead with him to make the change and within 15 minutes of his visit my HVAC was working again. This is what is called honesty and service. I would stay away from REEIS and would recommend others to be careful and seek a second opinion as well. I called and let them know and have requested for a refund for my trip charge as well as I felt they were trying to rig me by quoting an issue which was never there and not fixing the actual issue. read more

I was shocked at the wonderful prices, quick and honest service I received from Reeis Air Conditioning. Even with the Arizona heat/rush they installed a new unit and repaired my second unit within days of my making a decision to use them. I got many bids on the same Trane Unit that was installed and Reesis by far was well over a thousand dollars less. I got the same, top of the line unit, had it installed and fixed my other unit very quickly and professionally. I was well aware in advance when an employee was going to be there. Not only did they ensure they didn't leave a mess in my home, they even hired a drywall person to fix a hole that had to be made to install the duct work. Brian Farrell is who I dealt with and I knew when I contacted him he would never let a day pass without calling me or taking care of the issue I had. Carey was very patient and showed me all of the photos of the interior of my AC unit and things that needed repair. He explained so much information like the year and type of Refrigerant I had and what the wiring and insulation was supposed to look like. I had 3 other AC companies out and they never showed me photos of my AC. I had butchered wires with bad workmanship from other companies. I'm happy to know I now have a service tech I can trust. This company is fake as fake can be. Had to call twice to get scheduled they said they would have to call back and of course they never did. I even drove to their satellite building here in Prescott talked to some guy there and he stated they've had a lot tech's quit and that management is really poor. This was a situation where my heater fan motor has quit working. Below freezing temperatures have arrived so it to it falls under emergency situation. Did they care obviously not!! Reeis AC ,Good chance these guys did your house if built by William Ryan My house was completed in 2016 and REEIS was the HVAC contractor.Upon install the person who installed the air handler, installed the unit completely out of level, which has caused the air handler to never drain correctly, I even had them out here for a service call and they told me it was a drain, when I peeked up at the technician he was closing the unit and I said " please clean that water up in the unit, he was going to just close it up. Long story short, it was never a drain line, it was a horrible installation gone bad. When I noticed insulation coming out of my supply vents I went in the attic for my own look, retired electrician of 40 years, I'm not a dummy. The unit was so out of level the bubble was not even in the lines, I found a 3/4" pvc elbow stuck under the drain pan to tilt the pan that way " like that was going to work" it didn't. They sent out 2 guys and leveled the unit, now working correctly, only problem is the water has been sitting in there for 5 years, the insulation is basically dissolved and distributed through my supply ducts and there's about 2" of rust all over the unit. Talked to the owner today Todd, seems like a stand up guy, we will see because I asked for a complete new unit. If I never go up there this problem would of gone on forever, let's see if they stand up to there mistake and make this right. Well they have continued to give me the run around on there terrible install. They did a ton of homes in Estrella and if your smart you better take a look at your air handlers, I can't speak for them all, but this crew was terrible. There service guys are very young with little experience ,as the one service tech completely missed this a year ago " how do you miss 2" of water sitting in a air handler" friggin joke. This is what you get with non union workers, sorry, that need no schooling at all to be a tradesmen. read more

I would like to warn you about Reeis' practice of cutting corners and suggest to give your business to some other reputable companies. HVAC in out then new-built house was installed by Reeis. Similarly to problems described in Mark P.'s review, there were a lot of discrepancies to what was submitted and approved by the city compare to what and how it was really installed. The major problem was that instead of proposed 4 and 5 tons HVACs in our house it were installed 2 and 4 tons units! No wonder one side of the house was extremely hot during summer months (at extreme temperatures we could not cool it off below 86F!) The other issue became obvious when the tech came to perform the maintenance - the was no space for him to get to air handler in the attic, it was not just tight but literally to squeeze in he would have to disattach the duct from the unit. After three very hot summers in our new house we finally gave up and decided to replace one of the system with the bigger one but the issue with improper location of air handler precluded us to replace it because it would require to remove the drywall or the roof! So we ended up replacing only outside AC unit and are praying for air handler to last as many years as possible. Basically, we had to replace 3 year old HVAC that supposedly have 10 years warranty and spend nearly $10k because of Reeis's lousy job. The second smaller than necessary HVAC awaits it turn to be replaced pretty soon. Please save yourself time and money and stay away from Reeis! read more

The entire experience from the first phone call to follow-up texts (yes, you read that correctly!) from the technician who came over was excellent. Nice service tech but bad diagnosis. Scheduled maintenance appointment thinking it was $89. Technician arrived and he didn't have equipment to do maintenance as they sent the wrong kind of service technician out, but he did inspect the unit and said we needed a new compressor and it would be better to buy a new unit. The service call ended up not being $89 but $160 and he didn't do any maintenance. They quoted me a new unit and I was about to approve the purchase, but decided to call another contractor for a quote on replacing unit. I told the other company what reeis diagnosed and he asked if we had a smart thermostat as it sounded like it could be the thermostat. He suggested disabling some of the automatic energy efficiency settings on the thermostat before ordering a new unit. We disabled these features and the unit is working perfect!! Don't think reeis did anything dishonest, they just didn't think through the simple adjustments first. Not sure about the $160 charge but at least I didn't have to pay anything to the other company for their help. read more
