Do NOT use the Yelp "Request Quote" system. All Simple Electric will do is auto reply w/"let us know when we come out." And there's apparently normally a "trip fee" for a quote??? But "since you found us through Yelp we will waive it." LOL. How belittling. Shady tactics/language, like used car salesmen lingo. Why on earth would they participate in the Yelp "Quote" system when all they're doing is asking to come visit? They will NOT provide an online quote, even with details and pics. OK, I understand, but then GET OFF YELP QUOTE SYSTEM. Lame. Here is their message in reply to my request for a quote on yelp: "We provide free onsite quotes...And since you found us on Yelp we will waive the trip fee." So "free onsite quotes?" Simple Electric sent Steve out to give me an idea on why my pool pump wasnt working, even with 120v of power to it. I had new capacitor, new breakers, new switch, new pool timer, and had the pump tested to make sure it worked, by a pool store. Still wouldnt come on. People said it may be underground wiring, but I wasnt digging up my yard for nothing. Steve showed up and wasnt even scared if my big pitbull/mastiff mix or my big husky. He went straight to the pit like he knew him already with a "HEYYYYY!" Made my little so happy he was wagging his whole body. Haha! The husky sat and ate grass next to him while he worked on the electrical setup out back. He figured it out and even showed me the issue. No BS. Efficient. Dog-friendly, and a really cool dude. Worth the service fee just to verify what it was to ease my mind. We had an idea, but he solidified it 100% with no guesswork involved - after I threw a ton if new parts on the issue already. Hahaha! I should've called Simple Electric FIRST and saved myself a ton of time, money, pulling my pump apart, researching videos and driving all over town to buy crap to fix it. Mitch came by to look at a tripped breaker that wouldn't stay on and some faulty under cabinet lighting that wouldn't turn off. Absolute miracle worker because as soon as he arrived, the breaker functioned completely normal and the under cabinet lighting -- that literally wouldn't turn off in over A YEAR -- turned off! Haha On the plus side, he's going to write up a quote for us to replace the cabinet lighting because the wiring and dimmer are on their way out. I chose Simple Electric for an electric panel replacement after having them replace some outlets and a breaker. Stephen Gmeich was the primary electrician who did the work. He is obviously a pro, and easy to work with too. I got three estimates, and theirs was the middle price. I chose to go with them because Stephen had replaced other panels in my neighborhood and was familiar with the area, and the other work he did for me on the outlet repairs was solid. My house was built in 1955 and had the original panel, so it wasn't an easy job. I will definitely use them again. read more

My project: Install a wired RING doorbell. Aside from the camera itself, installation involved replacing the old doorbell chime and a new transformer that was also connected to my smart thermostat. It was just a bit more involved than I felt up to doing myself. There were many compatibility issues that could present problems along the way. Fortunately, Jeff was very knowledgeable about RING installations and understood what complications might arise and how to remedy them. Jeff's original estimate for the job was less than half of what Turn It On Electric quoted me. It seemed like the latter wanted to fix things that weren't broken. When it was time to pay for Jeff's work, there were no additional charges; the bill was the exact amount he originally quoted me. It seemed reasonable.
