Gary responded promptly to an estimate request for a Level 2 charger install. I thought I might have to replace my electric panel as well. He asked for a photo of the panel and said it was perfectly fine (which put my mind at ease). He quoted a price of $500-$850 (depending on the distance for wiring). Gary just installed a level 2 EV charger and was great to work with. Unlike other companies I contacted that wanted to come out, give an estimate, then proceed with the work, Gary did over the phone using photos and my measurements. Being able to get a ballpark idea of the cost before someone showed up at my door made things so much easier and not something any other company would agree to. Where we wanted the charging station vs. where the fuse box was located was a lot farther apart than normal, so the cost was higher. However, I expected this since 75+ feet of wire is over $400 online. I also appreciated that he was able to go through the wall in the garage directly into the fuse box so there was no unsightly conduit on the exterior for the HOA to complain about. The hole in the garage drywall was cut neatly but Gary also took the time to add a patching compound to make it look perfect and seamless. I am happy to say I now "know a guy" for my electrical needs that is honest and reliable. I totally recommend Best Electric. read more

I was told by Parker and Sons some months ago that I need to replace my entire electrical box - which is a multi-day job costing thousands - because they said my a/c unit got grounded and damaged the system. They had changed the breaker for the a/c unit at the time which was needed ... but I was worrying about it so had Gary come out for a second opinion. This business responded right away to a request to look over a problem with my control panel. He came exactly when he said he would. He listened to me describe the issue we were having and asked some pertinent questions. It didn't take him long to fix the issue. I thought the problem was storm related since our blackout in one room came the morning following a storm and just flipping the breaker didn't help. He took the time to show me that the breaker wire was at a very low level and that we had too many things plugged into the outlets for that room to be supported by that wiring. He was very patient and explained it very well. He was able to fix the part that had burned out immediately although with a warning that we would have to keep the number of items plugged in at a lower level. He was knowledgeable and respectful.
